I worked for a company that closed down and inherited an ipad 2 linked to Vodafone uk as the carrier but no account details. So I factory reset, downloaded the ios7and added EE sim and Ipad does not work. what can I do? Voda/EE/Apple say NO SOLUTION?

I inherited an Ipad 2 from a company that I had worked for in the UK but had closed down.
It was an IPAD2 locked to the Vodafone UK network by a Vodafone SIM Card.
No account details were or are available for the original account.
So I removed the Vodafone SIM Card and then factory reset wirelessly using my wireless at home.
I updated the system to IOS 7.0.2.
I was then sold under a contract from EE another UK carrier a SIM card for the Ipad and when inserted the Ipad says Sim not applicable.
I checked with Vodafone and EE shop and they said they cant unlock it, I checked with Apple who said the same!
So I have an IPad I can use wirelessly at home, a sim card from EE which is an u
locked Vodafone carrier mode and all 3 multinational companies say they cannot unlock it from Vodafone to enable me to use the EE sim.
What can I do to sort this mess out? Please help!

That's what the moderator in several older threads in Vodaphone's forum said was all that is necessary. Carriers often won't unlock for anyone but the original account holder, so if you don't have the details of the company's account, that might be the barrier in which case there will not be any way to get the iPad officially unlocked.

Command + R keys are for Macbooks running Lion and Mountian Lion only. ( i could be wrong on this)
you have a couple of options:
Do a clean install of Snow Leopard via Install DVD.
Clone your old hard drive to your new hard drive via Carbon Copy Cloner

It isn't supposed to pair with the MacBook. You can use WiFi to connect but not Bluetooth. You can setup a personal HotSpot on the iPhone and connect the MacBook, or setup the MacBook AirPort to create a network and attach the iPhone, and use the USB cable to connect the iPhone to the MacBook for syncing and backup purposes.
The communications are rather limited.

Your iPhone was almost certainly jailbroken to unlock it from the original carrier. Restoring the iPhone has now removed that jailbreak and the iPhone has relocked back to the original carrier. Only that carrier can authorize an official, permanent unlock, so you will need to contact that original carrier and ask if you would qualify for unlocking.

In normal view, half the page disappears off right of screen. in full screen this does not happen. what can be done to correct the screen ratio for normal screen?

version 5 loaded on windows 7. all went well for a while. one day while using, ratio of normal screen doubled in width; i.e. half the page disappears off the screen to the right (on a wide screen). when full screen mode applied, ratio is fine. it only happens in normal view, which is the usually prefered option. I cannot determine any means within the program to resize the normal screen. nothing else is affected, only mozilla firefox in normal view. not that when program is opened from keyboard the page is correct for a moment, then enlarges the width with 1/2 page dissappearing.

I cannot print from firefox. I can print from open office. It seems to have something to do with when frames open because in IE, I can print a whole page, but when I try to use a print button embeded in a page or frame it does not work.

In Internet Explorer, I was able to print by pushing the print button, but when opening a frame, like in mapquest, the embedded print button brings up an options window that has print frames options in it, but when hit OK in this box, a second error box comes up with a yellow exclamation point and nothing prints. Yes, I tried that.   The files were ordered by their original numbers as imported from the camera, but I batched them through Phocoshop to downsize all of them into a more manageable file size.   I opened that destination folder from quick time from where it said select image sequence.   I clicked on the first one and opened it.   The result was a large image with an arrow indicating a movie was ready to go.   When I pressed the arrow, though, I realized it had only imported that one frame so there was no movie.   The files are Jpgs and are about 450 KB each.
    To your knowledge are there any links to iMovie tutorials or quick time tutorials that may address this situation? Maybe there will be one I haven't looked at yet.

ITunes download using Firefox on Windows 7 64-bit does not work

I just got set up on a new Windows 7 machine (64-bit) at work. I was trying to download the iTunes exe file to my machine and was initially using Firefox as my browser. After multiple attempts to save the file were unsuccessful, I decided to try a different browser.
I popped over to Chrome and it downloaded with no problem. I thought I would share in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

This has worked for some of us but not all. Go to control panel and uninstall itunes and icloud, restart pc, go to apple site and download itunes and icloud. Good luck.
