I would like to convert a continuous waveform (created in Labview with the waveform generator vi) into digital form...am I on the right track (see below)
I would like to simulate a sample and hold circuit. I was thinking of using the zero order hold vi (for continuous to discrete conversion) in combination with the AC to DC vi? Am I on the right track, or could anyone suggest a better way to do this? Many thanks in advance!

I have a music video I would like to convert into music
I have a music "video" which is just plain music with a picture. I would like to convert it to just a sound file for my Ipod.
Can someone give this hopeless noob some pointers?I don't know the diffs between the QT versions on different platforms and the export option may be a pro feature. I've use QT Pro for all kinds of things. After one upgrades you can't tell which features are Pro so I can't help you there. If you want to just make a smaller video iTunes will let you generate an iPhone or iPod copy of a video which is slightly smaller. Check the right-click menu on a song in the library.
I haven't checked, but I wonder if GarageBand or iMovie would do this as well. Hmm, something for me to do today.

i have a Canon 6d and would like to convert my raw ( CR2) photo's into dng files. Adobe DNG converter 8.4 doesn't recognise the CR2 files. How can i solve this?
It is possible that you are not following instructions correctly in the DNG converter. The DNG converter interface asks for the FOLDER that contains your raw images. Choose the folder, but don't open it. After you have chosen the folder, click on the Convert button. The DNG conversion process should start. Does that help you?

How do I open my old Appleworks documents which have turned into Unix Executable Files? I would like to convert them into Pages documents. I also have old Word Perfect documents which have become similarly unopenable.
Best bet might be to try opening them using LibreOffice [free] and save them to .doc.
Do you really want to save them as .pages files? You are jumping from the frypan into the fire. Yet another proprietary format that Apple has again deadended with no working translation.

is it possible ?Well, distribution groups don't really have a concept of "in" or "out". They only serve to distribute messages sent to them -- unless you're asking to know who was a member of the distribution group at the time a message was sent to the DL.
Message tracking logs hold the information you want, though. You'd have to look for EXPAND events that reference the distribution group and take the sender's e-mail address from that event. If the DL is a simple one that's not a member of any other groups
you could also look for RECEIVE events sent to the e-mail address of the group and get the sender's name from that event.
You can use Powershell extract the rows of data from the logs, but you'll have to write the code to get the data out of those rows and into a format you want. Perhaps LogParser could be useful in place of Powershell?

how do you shuffle the image order when creating a new slideshow in apterture 3? i would like to do this automatically when creating a new slideshow. i see how you do it with presets when you just play a slideshow, but i don't see an option to randomly shuffle the slide order when you create a new slideshow. i know you can sort it by different fields, but i want it to be random. thanks.
If you want to rearrange images in random order you can try an AppleScript:
retrieve a list of selected images from Aperture
shuffe the list properly
create an album in Aperture and add the images from the list to the album (make sure that the album set to be orederd manually)
Here is a sample script that shuffles the selected images and displays them in random order in Full Screen Mode:

Hi, you need 10.6.8 first...
First you need to research all the problems people are having with the higher OSX versions, & make sure you have a bootable clone of what you have just in case.

Why not use an event
Add a While Loop, inside the loop add the Event Sructure.
Now in the event structure selecd the String Controls.value change event to
react
and the new value inside the event that you get,( connect to the String
