I would like to create a sine wave in Illustrator. How do I do this in a simple way?

As the title suggest I would like to create a sine wave in illustrator. I know that applying the zig zag effect to a line and choosing "smooth" will create a cosine wave. But is there a simple way like that to create a sine way? Or any way at all?

1. start with the zig zag effect
2. with the scissor tool cut where the ends of the red line is - I made the rest blue to make it clear
3. delete the blue segments to get this
4. using the black pointer or scale tool stretch horizontally to match the reference
5. using the white pointer select one of the smooth anchor points, and using the Scale tool and holding Shift drag to scale constraining horizontally until the curve matches the reference
6. select the other smooth point and with the scale tool selected press the Enter key on your keyboard twice to apply the previous scale

You use a debit card just like you use a credit card in iTunes. You have to enter the card number, security code and billing address as you would with a credit card when you set up the ID. You can make changes to your payment method in your account at any time.
If you want to create an Apple ID without using a credit card you must first sign out of the Apple ID that you already created in Settings>Store>Your Apple ID.
But ...you will also need another email address now if you already created an Apple ID, because that first email address is now associated with that first ID that you created.
If you do have a debit card, you may just be better off entering that card information into your account and use that now. You don't need to even use the debit card if you can purchase iTunes gift cards and redeem those. I use iTunes gift cards exclusively now instead of using my credit card.

This depends, if the music was purchased on the iTunes store you can transfer purchases. If it was not then you would need a 3rd party program in order to rip these files to the computer.

As said already by JJMack, you cannot do that.
Photoshop CS6, CC & CC 2014 only install a 64-bit version on Mac OS.
Photoshop CS5 installs a version that can launch in either 32 bit or 64 bit when you install on a 64-bit version of Mac OS (Mac OS X 10.5 or later). If you are using Mac OS X 10.4 or earlier, then Photoshop only installs the 32-bit version.
Photoshop CS4 installs a 32-bit version only.

* Rename folder the .lrcat file is in.
* Rename the .lrcat file to match.
* Rename the previews.lrdata folder to match.
* Rename the smart previews.lrdata folder to match.
For example, change:
My Catalog-2-2-2
     My Catalog-2-2-2.lrcat
     My Catalog-2-2-2 Previews.lrdata
     My Catalog-2-2-2 Smart Previews.lrdata
to:
My Catalog
     My Catalog.lrcat
     My Catalog Previews.lrdata
     My Catalog Smart Previews.lrdata
that'd work.
Note: not all those steps are necessary, but that'll make it just how Lr would've done it.

Hello, Im new with Mac. Ive downloaded a GoPro video to iphoto and now I would like to burn it to a disk. What is the best way to go about this? Do I need to do this in imovie?

I assume you want to burn a video DVD that will play in a DVD player on a TV set, correct?
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag movie file into the open iDVD window for iDVD's Media/Photos pane being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com. Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:

You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.
There are a couple of other video DVD authoring application available from the App Store. They don't have the versatility that iDVD has. I've not used any of them so can't comment on their effectiveness. I do, however, believe that there's no app that can do as well as iDVD in creating a prefessional looking video DVD.

As far as I am aware, the Music will not be deleted from your account. It should stay on your account, to download if you want it. Deleting it does not remove it from your iTunes library or Apple ID account.

when i send this sine, to osilloscope, i dont get a simple sine but with a delay. in my VI i already changed the units of timer from 50 to 500, but no no change. why it is like this? can somebody please tell me? i am attaching the VI thanks

In the same Vi you have seen that i want to send 128 periods to oscilloscope. some times i want to send 4 periods and some times may be about 1 million periods.
now what i want is if i send 128 periods to osilloscope,it must display these 128 periods/cycles and then stop, if i send 1 million periods, then it display 1 million periods and then stop. if i break
some where in between then afterwards when i resume, it must dsplay/generate the rest of the periods on osilloscope. i know at Ao start we can not break, resume any more, because then it not in our control any more, but i think this break resume is possible before Ao write just after creating wave array or when Ao write is writing in buffer.but i dont know how to implement it? any hel

I have an iPad 1st Generation Wi-Fi + 3G but my network is Verizon. I would just like to use it when in Istanbul to check and send email to the US and to Skype. Is this possible? Do I need to enable or disable anything to use it, or just turn it on? And, (finally!) is it totally free using a free wi-fi connection? Thanks much - the Verizon site is too confusing!

Thank you for replying, but I don't quite understand. I don't need mobile internet at all times. I am hoping to bring my iPad and only use it in the hotel lobby which has wifi. I am trying to determine if it can be used to recieve and send email while in Istanbul as well as get on Skype. Also - will how to do this be apparent to me when I turn it on - or do I need to set any preferences (etc). And will Verizon apply any charges? I would like to see my gmail calendars on iCloud - how do I set this up?

I have successfully "shared" my gmail calendars on my iPod touch -- but I can't seem to figure out how to see them on my iCloud.
Is there a way to do this?

I was able to share the calendars (between gmail and ical) on:
1. my iPod touch (via method above)
2. my mac (via method above)
Thanks to Old Toad for showing that (I had already used it, but good for others to see here.)
BUT, as Julian points out, it doesn't push gmail calendars to the iCloud.
I was hoping to be able to use iCloud for all of my calendars, the way I used to do with MobileMe...
Does anyone have any other tips to push the calendar?
*** By the way, I first started using gmail calendars (and gmail itself) due to a series of mishaps by Apple, where I lost all of my contacts / addresses / calendars. I was backing up, but the backups didn't work. It was a software glitch that I could see (on forums) was happening to a lot of people. It was traumatic. Henceforth, I began keeping a gmail account and copying all the contact info (and calendars) there.
That said, I still prefer to use my apple iCal and email over the gmail accounts. So, here I am. ***
