I would like to install classic, 9.2.2
My present OS is 10.4.6. I want to install Classic 9.2.2 as I have some older applications that I need to use. Do I have to format the hard drive and install 10.2 again, then install 9.2.2 then update to 10.4.6? I really hate to spend the time doing this.
I have a 17" flat panel imac G4.
I'm not sure how this falls into the iPhoto 4 or earlier category.
Have you tried looking at the Mac Help menu item on your computer? Try the search phrase "Install Mac OS 9".

Thanks to all for reviewing my question. I am trying to avoid a possible disaster here, having to load about 90 cd's all over again. New computer, would like to install ipod software to it but lost disc!
So, I was working on an eMachine but recently upgraded to an Hp Pavillions dv7 laptop. I have backed up all my music on external hard drives and I'm ready ro completely discard the eMachine. So, naturally I would like to install my ipod to this. Unfortunately seeing as I have a click wheel classic ipod purchased in 2004 that installation disc seems to be long gone- although I found my manual. So I guess these are my questions:
Is there a way to download that software online since I'm missing the disc- if so how and where?
Is it necessary to have that disc before I hook up the ipod to the new system if itunes is already installed?

Just install the current version of iTunes. The software on that disk is out of date anyway.

I have recently purchased MacBook Pro with Mac OSX 10.7.3 Lion and I would like to install Final Cut Pro 6 Studio2, and it came up with this error: 'you can't open application FinalCutProStudio.mpkg because PowerPc apps are no longer supported......Is there a way to run FCP6 on lion withoput this error? Problem with search
After upgrading from 8 to 9.0.1 I no longer have any search engines installed. I would like to install Google as my default search engine. When I click on “get more search engines” I cannot find Google or Bing or …I resolved my issue. Renamed search.sqlite and reinstalled Firefox 9.0.1
All default search engines are now available. -

Install iTunes.
Once install, hold SHIFT and launch iTunes.
When prompted, point iTunes to the correct location for the iTunesLibrary.itl file which should be in the iTunes folder under <user>/Music on the old drive. -

Please find your Mac Model Identifier from About This Mac -> (More Info) -> System Report -> Hardware and compare it to the following list. If your model identifier appears in this list, you can only install Windows 7.

After installing Camera Raw 8.6 I am unable to install the plugin in CS4. Please advice.Camera Raw 8.6 is only compatible with Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC. There is no way for you to install it in Photoshop CS4. The message you are receiving means that you need Camera Raw 8.6 to have full compatibility with Lightroom 5. But in that message you are given the option to edit a copy that includes the Lightroom adjustments. That is the option that you should use. Lightroom will create a copy (PSD or TIF, depending on your choice in Lightroom preferences) and will send that copy to Photoshop CS4. Then you can use Photoshop and all of its features to continue editing your image. When you close and save the image in Photoshop, it will appear in your Lightroom folder along with the original raw file.
Another option you could use would be to use the free Adobe DNG converter to create DNG (digital negative) copies of your raw files. Those DNG files would be compatible with the Photoshop that you have now. Your other option would be to upgrade your Photoshop. -
I lost my photoshop elements 7.0 serial number and i had not had it registered so i can't get it back. My old desktop broke and i would like to install photo shop on my new laptop. How can i get it back?
I would first go to your Adobe Account and make sure that all info in it was correct and then match up all S/N's with your records. If you find any problems, then make corrections.
If all matches, but does not work, contact Adobe and see if they still sell replacement DVD's for CS2. Adobe usually does, for a small price. Still, you will need your correct S/N, so you will probably be back on the phone to Adobe. When I once used them for a S/N problem, they were quick and did a perfect job.

Serial numbers for older versions do not work across platforms.
At one time, when the product was current, you could get Adobe to switch you to the other platform, but I don't know whether Adobe will do that for old versions. I do know it's not going to work if you try to use your Windows license for a Mac installation.
