what is the method for installing Acrobat 8 Pro on a Windows 8.1 PC?
I have not heard much from folks regarding problems or success for this combination. You will just have to try to see if it loads. You will need to be prepared to do the updates that were needed from Win7 and will most likely be required for Win8.1, if it works at all. If it installs, the 2 problem areas are typically the print driver and AcroTray. The rest may install, yet these may not. In such a case there are some workarounds, but getting XI is a better solution.

I would like to install the newest version of Acrobat Adobe into 6 computers. I wonder what tha will cost, for a month and to buy it directly? On one computer we have version 9, and that one we would like to uppgrade to the latest version?

To install Acrobat 11 on to 6 computers you can purchase Volume License.
But since you want it for only a month you need to purchase Acrobat subscription.
A single subscription is good for 2 computers and the same Adobe ID cannot be used to buy multiple subscription copies of Acrobat.
You can however opt for Creative Cloud for Team license such that you can become the Admin and grant access to the 6 users who wish to install Acrobat on their machines.

Your Windows license might only be installed on a Mac if you install Windows emulation software.
While it might be possible to swap to the Mac platform, which depends on which version is involved, that means giving up the Windows license. -

Serial numbers for older versions do not work across platforms.
At one time, when the product was current, you could get Adobe to switch you to the other platform, but I don't know whether Adobe will do that for old versions. I do know it's not going to work if you try to use your Windows license for a Mac installation.

I have recently purchased MacBook Pro with Mac OSX 10.7.3 Lion and I would like to install Final Cut Pro 6 Studio2, and it came up with this error: 'you can't open application FinalCutProStudio.mpkg because PowerPc apps are no longer supported......Is there a way to run FCP6 on lion withoput this error? Install iTunes.
Once install, hold SHIFT and launch iTunes.
When prompted, point iTunes to the correct location for the iTunesLibrary.itl file which should be in the iTunes folder under <user>/Music on the old drive. -

Please find your Mac Model Identifier from About This Mac -> (More Info) -> System Report -> Hardware and compare it to the following list. If your model identifier appears in this list, you can only install Windows 7.
