I would like to know if anyone has had and error which says I have changed my UID?

I used a trial download for the 30 days and then I purchased the monthly subscription and now I get an error message which says I have a different UID.  Can anyone help?

I assume you attempted to include a screenshot? In order to post a screenshot to the forum you have to do so within the browser UI to the forum. E-mail attachments are stripped. They don't make it to the form.

    If you want to import your old data into a new Quicken Essentials data file that you’ve already started using (optional), make sure that the new data file is now open in Quicken Essentials.
    Choose File > Import, and then select the file that you just created during the conversion process.
    The conversion file has a .QDFX extension. You’ll find it in the same folder as the copy of your old Quicken for Mac file.

    You can use Text Edit.
    Then from the Text Edit menu bar click File / Print.

    The name OEL as such is not used anymore, since the product was renamed from Oracle Enterprise Linux to Oracle Linux with the release of version 5.5 in September 2010.
    The main technical difference between Oracle Linux and RHEL is that Oracle Linux ships with an Oracle exclusive and optimized Oracle UEK kernel. It does however still install and provide the original and older RHEL kernel for fallback.
    As of Oracle Linux 5.6, the Oracle UEK kernel is the default kernel. The current latest version of Oracle Linux 6.3 uses the Oracle UEK2 kernel, which is based on the Linux 3 kernel (2.6.39).
    Oracle Linux is binary compatible with RHEL.
    Oracle Linux has several advantages over RHEL, in particular if you plan to use it to install Oracle products.
    • The same kernel UEK and UEK2 versions are available for Oracle Linux 5.x and 6.x
    You do not necessarily need to perform a complete and unsupported system upgrade to use a newer kernel version and drivers.
    • Oracle Pubilc YUM
    Oracle provides a public yum repository for installing software packages including the latest patches. RHEL does not and requires a paid subscription for online access.
    • Oracle specific drivers and software
    Oracle Linux provides additional software and kernel drivers, for Oracle clustering, Dtrace, BtrFS and ASM, which is not available for RHEL 6.
    Oracle Linux provides additional packages which trigger the automatic installation of system software prerequisites, including kernel parameters and oracle account setup to install Oracle Database:
    oracle-validated (Oracle Linux 5)
    oracle-rdbms-server-11gR2-preinstall (Oracle Linux 6)
    And last not least you have just one vendor and support requirement for Oracle products.

    If you just want to redeem the card then you shouldn't need to scan it in nor contact Support : redeeming a card.
    If you are having a problem with the code and need to contact Support about it then if you have a computer or a mobile phone with a camera on it then you can take a picture with that - or you can use a digial camera and import it to your computer so that you can attach it.

  • I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing issues related to location services settings. Ie; they are on but maps cannot determine location etc.

    I recently experienced an issue on my ipad2 related to location services. While connected to a wifi network, I found that apps requiring location services would not work properly and I would receive a pop up notice asking me to turn on location services.  For example, the maps app would display a pop up stating "cannot determine location". My NHL gamecenter app would not allow me to watch live feeds; a pop up advised me to turn on location services. In each case, location services was in fact on.
    I checked my settings, shut down the apps, restarted them, shut down the iPad and rebooted it to no avail. The internet connection was working fine as best as I could determine. The wifi network was at a guest home and the router was recently replaced. I returned to my home wifi and everything worked fine. The next day, I returned to the guest Internet connection and everything seemed to work once again. However, while watching a NHL game, during the last seconds of an overtime shoot out, I lost video and it was attributed once again to location services being disabled. Of course I checked and nothing in my settings had been altered. I went to my iPhone (3GS) and pulled up the gamecenter app and was able to watch the end of the game( via wifi connection...same network).
    So, I am puzzled as to what could be causing this problem. If anyone else is having similar issues, I would like to know as well as if there are any solutions or feedback from Apple regarding this type of problem.....Dave.

    As the King says, if your friends wifi router was relatively new, it likely has not been picked up by Apple's location based information database system and thus there is no location information associated with it.  So your iPad had no way of getting its location.
    The wifi location databases are traditionally updated by wardriving - literally companies employ people to drive around sniffing out active wifi signals and associating an approximate location to it.  Some companies also have web sites to submit that information if owners wish to (Apple does not seem to have one though), and the various companies with wifi location databases buy and sell their information.  Bottom line is though, it can take weeks, months or sometimes even longer for a residential router to get picked up - depends on where you live (more rural, likely the longer time it takes).
    When I moved from VA to NC it took up to 6 months for mine to reflect my new location (I checked it once the week I moved in, and then periodically thereafter, and it finally was getting it right after about 6 months) and I live in a pretty densley populated area (triangle NC).

    You will find several ways to it.

    It's extremely important for you to get a breakdown of all the charges so you can understand exactly where they are coming from. As Elector suggested your billing invoices are a great place to find this information! You can log in to My Verizon http://bit.ly/xB4iTc and then go to View Current Bill. Then click on View or Save Printable Bill to view your most recent charges. You are able to view other month's bills by selecting which month's charges you want to view from the drop down menu.

    recently had a whack of sites open in Safari. Yeah, trying to download the 'entire **** content' of the internet (if you where wondering). But the crazy thing was that my MBP completely stopped. Shut down, no lights, not even on the charger... whacky strange. Power button was unresponsive. The MBP was basically DOA. Freaked out and left a message for my vendor, re. absolute breakdown of this heretofore behemoth. In the meantime, in my panic, removed and re-inserted (yeah, funny giggles here) the battery, and everything restarted and did it's thing. MBP back to life, no errors, no permissions problems, et. al. BUT, big question here.... has anyone ever had their computer completely stop, with no signs of life, and did you figure out why, or how? And don't Digg this, I may want a girlfriend someday...

    My MBP did the old shutdown trick after I had it for a bit over one week. This was happening about every couple of hours. I took it into the Apple store and they checked it out. Of course it would not do it for them but they diligently rummaged through the log file and told me I would have to leave it overnight. The next day when I came back they told me that they replaced the motherboard. Hasn't done it since.

  • I would like to know if anyone in has experienced problems with Stellar Phoenix Data Recovery and if I have ultimately fallen for a scam?

    I had accidentally deleted important files from my hard drive and emptied them from my trash can on my MacBook Pro. I sought a variety of data recvery packages but none were really successful apart from one - the now infamous Stellar Phoenix Mac Data Recovery Version 6.0. Upon using what I was led to believe was a trial version, the files I was looking for could in fact be found. However, in order to recover them I had to purchase a £94.80 licence. In deperatation I chose to do this. Upon attempting to recover the files, I went to check the location I saved them into and low and behold there was a folfer called a 'Root' Folder which was completely EMPTY.
    Stellar Phoenix have done little except take the money and run

    It sounds like that your drive is corrupted. You should try to format it for fixing this problem.
    But, to recover your original data, you are supposed to run a hard disk recovery software at first and format this disk afterwards for saving the physical drive. This free one can retrieve your data completely as it helps my friend restore all his data. Go get it there: http://goo.gl/wQW0Ur
    Add some tips: You should not rewrite your wanted data with any new file in case of data loss.
    You should back up your important data all the time on a different drive in the future.
