I would like to purchase cs6 with out going throuh the VIP or creative cloud. Is that possible?
I recently made a purchase from Insight to purchase the CS6 Creative Studio for DreamWeaver. I was told that all purchasing was done through the creative cloud and the "VIP" Process...
This will cause procurement issues for my program. The initial cost was $1,700 for 1 license. Now its $700+ for 1 year only. This is an issue, that will require our DOJ (legal branch) to become involved since there is a 1 year contract. Is it possible to purchase CS6 with out going through the cloud concept. I know how unforgiving Adobe is with their 1 year time limit. I know this will be a problem. I just dont like the word contract being used in the purchase of software that your paying big money for. I understand CS5.5 does not require a contract. Is CS5.5 still available for resale???

You can download purchases from itunes as long as they still carry them. they may not be available forever.
All of your music and everything esle should be on your computer and backed up with your regular backup copy of your computer.
You can download most itunes purchases on ipad, ipod touch and iphone.
I see no reason to have an ipod and an iphone.
If your ipad/iphone/ipod crash you would have to restore using itunes on your computer.
I would not reccommend using an iphone ipod/ipad without a computer. -

I guess the real question is can a single drive in the NAS be shared by both a PC and a Mac. I plan to access the network from both the PC and mac wrelessly but will ust CAT5 between Apple TV and router.
You are asking several different questions. If you need to store your photos, music, and movies on an external volume, you certainly can. Any externally connected hard disk drive will work, connected either directly to your Mac or to your Time Capsule as a shared volume.
You should not rely upon using that as a backup device though. Although you certainly may use it for both purposes, it is a better idea to have dedicated backup devices for a variety of reasons not limited to redundancy. You would not want to simultaneously lose all your pictures as well as your backup. If they are all on the same device, that could happen. Furthermore, a backup cannot back up the volume on which it is running.
As for adding an Extreme or Express, using its LAN port for your iMac, and then enable Internet sharing so you can effectively use the iMac as a "hotspot", you can do that too, but I am unclear on what benefit you believe this arrangement would convey for you.
An Extreme's Guest network is separate from its Main network; that is the reason for having it. -

Make sure you are dealing with the correct product for the serial number. If the serial number is for a full creative suite then you need to get the suite, not the individual application, and vice versa.
Unrelated to that, in case it helps, here is a link to another site. You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Would like to purchase PSE 12 to process Camera Raw files for the following cameras: Nikon D800, Nikon DF, Canon G9 and Pentax K-3 does the Raw Converter that comes with PSE 12 when purchased recognize the cameras listed in the question or do I need to download the camera Raw Version 8.3 ?

I have not done a comparison between Lightroom and Canon's software but others have and say that Canon's software is clearly better. I am sure when Adobe updates their software again to include the G9 it will be a very good RAW converter as it is will most other cameras. -
I am using Aperture 3 now and I love it. But I would like to purchase or download perhaps some freeware, easy to use photo imaging/editing software with more filters, perhaps layering etc. I don't want something with a very steep learning curve, getting to old for that. My Apple mentor suggests Pixelmator or Gimp ? Are there some others out there? When I was still in the Windows world, I used Photoshop Elements but that is now in my past. Any ideas?
Pixelmator or Gimp are both nice tools for advanced image processing and compositing. I.e. Gimp can do pretty much the same as Phtoshop. You might also have a look at digikam http://www.digikam.org/drupal/download/binary
Digikam is not just an advanced image processing and compositing program, it is also content management system like Aperture or iPhoto.
I also find GraphicConverter a nice tool, but it is not free.
If you want your image editing tools to integrate well with Aperture, I would look first at the available plug-ins, start with the plug-ins offered in the Aperture pull-down menu

You can use iCloud to share the Calendar, that way she will always be up to date on that particular section of your work calendar. If you want to use iCloud, I would recommend backing up so you have a safe copy of your data.

Your smartboard would need to include a data projector function of such sort, and then you would connect your device to that projector as you would any other data projector. We cannot be more specific without more details as to what device you are using and what brand and model of "smartboard" you're referring to.
