I would like to purchase the license and serial number for Lightroom 4 however even though you can download it from this site, there is no option to buy. Unfortunately I can't upgrade my computer's operating system beyond OSX 10.6.8 even though it's an intel duo so there's no point me getting Lightroom 5.
There doesn't seem to be an option to contact anyone at Adobe to see if there is an option to buy. Each time I attempt to do so I am directed to the forum, so it looks like my only option may be to use another app. Maybe capture one's the way forward
Adobe does not sell Lightroom 4 any longer.

Two options:
Make a disk image or a clone of the installer CD on your Mac that has a super drive - you can create a disk image using Disk Utility or use Carbon Copy Cloner (if you have it) to clone the DVD to a thumbsdrive. Then run the installer on your MBY from this copy.
Or download the Trial Installer and install from there:
Download the Aperture 3.1 Trial. http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.info.apple.com/Aperture/061-8328 .20101020.AprE3/ApertureTrial3.1.dmg
Open the Aperture Trial disc image.
Double-click the "Aperture Trial.mpkg" file.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install Aperture.
After the installation completes, choose Software Update from the Apple () menu.
Install the Aperture 3.4 update from the list of available updates.

the harddrive holding my itunes library is damaged and I would like to purchase the icloud. Can I restore files to the icloud without the disk/libraries? Thanks!
iCloud does not provide a service like Dropbox where you can save random files to it as a way of having external storage. As for the HD damage, don't you have a backup of the itunes library elsewhere? If so, copy it to the replacement hard drive, along with any other important files that were on the damaged HD.

You can restore your iPad with your iPhone backup but items that are iPhone only will not transfer. It should recreate all your folders. It can't hurt anything to try.

-EthanPurchases from the App Store do not include serial numbers. The App Store itself provides the licensing for the product. You will have to contact Apple to have them help you reinstall Lightroom through the App store (just because it is no longer for sale does not mean that you will not be able to download your past purchases).

I have CS2 with the discs and serial number. After needing to have my computer wiped, reloading the discs, and imputing the serial number, neither phone activation or on-line activation works. What do I do? Lanny
Adobe took down the CS and CS2 activation servers, but they put up a version of CS2 for those who previously had a license to it.
You will need to download the software from here, and use the serial number given on these pages. Follow the directions on this link, and you will soon be up and running again.

Thanks. Yes. But somehow it's already turned off by the thief. I am just hoping he goes to an area with free wifi to transmit the lost phone mode. The iPhone 4S comes automatically loaded with iOS 5, and any updates after iOS 5.0 can be completed directly from on the phone in Settings > General > Software Update. If you are having trouble using iTunes to update software, I suggest you reset iTunes so that you can pair your phone to the computer again, because if you can't see the serial number and capacity, that generally means your phone isn't paired. For any problems this doesn't fix, please contact Apple directly through their automated help line, 1(800)MYAPPLE.
