I would like to replace a keyboard in my Pavilion 15-p 199sa ENERGY STAR

Last February I bought my first laptop from Currys Pc world. Once at home I noticed that the touchpad was faulty: lifted up on the upper left corner. I should have brought it back on the following day, but shame on me, I did not. Now I do not mind to pay for a new keyboard, and replace the old one to get the problem sorted out. but I do not know where or how to get it. I tried to open the link: Hp Support, Replacement parts, but this web page is not available. I sent an email to hp support and i have been told: "Based on the information provided you have purchased your unit from the Dixon's Store Group (DSG). The DSG have an agreement with HP, where they support the standard 12 month warranty on your product.
Because of this agreement with the DSG, your product is out of warranty with HP, therefore please contact your point of purchase for any support you may require". Now I do not feel to bring the laptop to Currys, because I tried to fix the touchpad and I have scratched the keyboard a bit.
Therefore, my friends be aware that when you buy an HP laptop from Currys Pc World, your product won't have any Hp warranty.
I went to Merchant Square in London to Hp Total Care Centre: but the shop has disappeared.
I will try over the phone.
(Probably it would have been the case to buy from a laptob brand that is also the laptop manufactorer)

    Hi
Both screens seems to be designed for the Portg R200 thereofre I dont see any serious reasons why you should not use it.
    > Is it easy to replace?
Its not easy to replace if you have no experience! In such case I would recommend contacting an notebook technician.
    > And most importantly.... Can I get this cheaper anywhere else???
As you know the market makes prices just google for a better offer.
    Cheers dude

Larryt48503521 you are welcome to install Photoshop CS6 on a new computer.  You can find details regarding the activation process at Activation & deactivation help - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html.

I have a sequence on tcp that is Standard Def. I have a new set of files in High Def that match the old SD files. I would like to replace all the SD footage with the HD footage. Anyone know of a workflow to do this task?

Do a media manage of the sequence converting the files to the appropriate HD format making the clips offline.  Then simply reconnect the offline clips to the HD clips.  There may be issues in the file names, but they can usually be worked out either with the naming options in media manager or renaming your hd files.  There are many utilities that allow you to batch rename files.

  • My MACBOOK Pro turned out to be Snow Leopard, and later upgraded to LION. And update the EFI, I would like to replace the Snow Leopard, EFI can not boot, how do? How to use the Snow Leopard install disk to reduce EFI?

My MACBOOK Pro turned out to be Snow Leopard, and later upgraded toLION. And update the EFI, I would like to replace the Snow Leopard, EFIcan not boot, how do? How to use the Snow Leopard install disk to reduce EFI?

Do you mean some of your software does not work in Lion? Do you want to return to using Snow Leopard? If so, then do this:
    Downgrade Lion to Snow Leopard
    1.  Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.  If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.

  • HT4972 i would like to replace my old ipod with this new 4th gen, for my entire library, how to?

i just bought a  4th generation ipod touch, to replace my 1st generation ipod touch and would like to register it so i can have access
to my entire library , can anybody tell me how to do this?

Make one final sync of the old iPod to your computer. The first step of the sync is a backup.
Then connect the iPod to the computer and restore it from the backup for the old iPod. You will have to reenter keychain items like passwords since they are only restored to the same device.
    To restore see:

  • I would like to replace my old AE 802.11g with new version 802./11n - How do I connect

I have just bought a new Airport Express (802.11n wi-fi)  and would like to use it as the base station in place of the older version (802.11g).
The old one to be used in another room connecting to my sound sytem as an extention to the new one.
Both of these AEs  utilise different Aiport Utility (5.6 against 6.1).
Can anyone please give me some detailed explanations of  how I can set-up these devices, if indeed they are possible.
    Alan

Sorry, just to make sure: Do you want the older 802.11g Express just for iTunes streaming or (in addition) to extend the wireless range of the newer 802.11n Express? If it is the latter, you may want to reconsider doing so as the only way to extend with "mixed" base stations is with a Wireless Distribution System (WDS).
A WDS has two major disadvantages: 1) It can only operate in the 802.11g radio mode, basically negating the advantage of your 802.11n Express, and 2) For every base station added to the WDS, the overall bandwidth is cut in half. So starting with 54 Mbps (for 802.11g), your extended wireless network will be running around 25-27 Mbps.

  • Trying to replace the Keyboard for HP Pavilion DV7-3180us. Need part number & compatible parts.

I have a HP Pavilion DV7-3180us laptop.  I have to replace the Keyboard because I have about 7 missing keys.  I have been looking for a good replacement but I want to ensure that I am getting the lowest price and the correct part.   I don't have a lot to spend on it but it looks cheaper or about the same price, to buy the whole keyboard rather than the seperate keys.  Is this keyboard compatible with other keyboards?  This would give me more options to find one in stock and a reasonable price.  Also, need a new AC Adapter charger.  I have seen it listed with 3 different watts 65w, 90w, & 120w.  Is this accurate?  I find the parts listed under my computer manufacturer number but I am skeptical that it is correct.  I have seen some reviews where people say that the keyboard replacement listed for DV7-3180us did not fit.  Anyone with any help to make this easier I would very much appreciate.  Thanks.

    Hi:
My advice is to read chapter 3 of the dv7 service manual below, and cross reference the part numbers or only buy the parts you need with the HP part numbers.

  • I would like to replace a Sigma lens with a cannon equivalent.

The lens is a Sigma 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 DG with macro.  Which Cannon lens would come close? The body is a EOS Rebal T3i.
    Thanks
    Solved!

    Hi, Cscott.
A few questions might help with the answer.
1.)  What other lenses do you own?
    2.)  What is your budget?
Also, weak color is not normally something you fix by going from one broad zoom lens to another broad zoom lens.  You might consider picking up an inexpensive prime lens, if you don't already have one.  They have less glass, thus less flare, thus deeper colors.  They also take in something like 4 times more light, meaning you can use 4 stops lower ISO, which will also preserve your colors and not let them get washed out by high-ISO distortion.
I would personally not try to cram so much use out of one lens.  The broader the focal length, the more compromises the designers had to make to get the lens to do that many different things.  If you do a lot of macro, maybe you get yourself an EF-S 60mm macro, or a 100mm non-IS macro.
If you shoot low light get maybe a cheap 50mm f/1.8 prime for $100 bucks.
Before I tossed that Sigma lens out, (and especially before replacing it with another lens that is nearly identical ! ), I would think about keeping it for what it is good at, like shooting outdoors in bright sunlight.  Then fill in the gaps with lenses that work better in low light (lower f/numbers/wider apertures) or macro.  If you can give up the zoom and go with a prime or two, you get much more image quality bang for less buck.
