I would like to see a pause button available during the rendering process

This feature is available with the Adobe Media Encoder but it would be very useful inside of Encore as well. It would also be useful for cases of unexpected interruptions duing rendering if Encore were smart enough to pick up where it left off. I don't think either of these scenarios are programmatically impossible to address.

What would make my Cp7 course get hung up during the loading process when launching on LMS?

In Cp7, I created a SCORM project to post on our LMS and submitted it for testing. Our LMS department confirmed it worked successfully, and in fact I tested it myself – it worked great. However, my work team asked me to make some changes to the content before pushing it out of the testing phase to launch company-wide. Per company policy, making changes to a course means resubmitting it once more to be tested before making it available to everybody. So I made the requested changes and resubmitted it for testing. Now our LMS department reports the course will not launch properly – it gets stuck in the loading process. It shows “Loading...” endlessly but never loads.
When I submitted the updated version for testing, I kept all the project settings that worked successfully the first time. The changes I made to the project were:
I added a slide toward the beginning (slide 2) to give the user navigation tips.
I set slides so that each one must play all the way through before the user can proceed to the next slide (I think I did this simply by removing “play” on the playbar”).
Under table of contents settings, I checked “navigate visited slides only,” so the user can navigate backwards using the contents bar at left, but can only navigate forward to slides that have already played or to the next slide in the queue.
I broke up a couple of lengthy multiple choice questions into shorter ones (for an additional two slides).
Is there any reason one of these changes would make the course get hung up during loading?
Is there a size limit Cp7 projects which, if exceeded, might be causing such an issue?
Or does anyone have ideas about what else might be making it get hung up in the loading process?

you Depress the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - anyplace you can launch iPhoto you do this - keep the keys down until you get the rebuild window

Ok... so iOS5 has brought some cool (and useful) new features.... good job. However, moving forward I would like to see even more "holding faith" with the overall philosophy of lots of devices interacting with a single data set.

My first, and perhaps clearest, example here is iMessage. It's great that I can take and reply to messages on my iPhone and on my iPad as if it didn't matter which device I use. However, I spend most of my working day on my Mac, and it's a little annoying to have to use one of my other devices to send and receive messages when my most powerful device (my Mac) is right there under my finger tips. I'm an iChat user, which has some great functionality, but of course it doesn't integrate with iMessage in anyway or Facetime for that matter, even though you can effectively do a "Facetime" call on iChat if the other person has the appropriate user account.
So my question/suggestion is - I wonder if there's a way of bringing iChat, iMessage, Facetime etc... all into harmony so that messages, video chatting, screen sharing etc... is dealt with under a single application. I accept you may have it so that there is more functionality on, say, your Mac (e.g. screen sharing). But the integration would still be helpful I think.
Any thoughts (with the hope that Apple will also see these comments/answers/suggestions and take it as food for thought on product development)?
Incidentally, and also for Apple's benefit, please don't read this message as as meaning that I don't like what's already been done! It's great and I think it really is moving in the right direction. It's just that there's still room for improvement.

Ingest movie clips
You can ingest entire movie clips or a selected portion of the movie clips (partial ingest). You can also transcode the selected movie clips using more than one encoding option.
     Select File > Ingest. Alternatively, press Ctrl+I (Win) or Cmd+I (Mac OS).
     Navigate to the folder containing media, and click the folder. The contents of the folder are displayed in the center panel.
Tip: To access folders from which you previously ingested content, use the menu above the panel.
     Do the following based on your requirements:
To view content as Thumbnails, click the Icon View button.
To view content as a list, click the List View button.
To quickly preview the contents of a movie clip, drag the cursor across the thumbnail. You can also click the thumbnail and use the playhead to scrub the movie. Alternatively, use the JKL keys to control playback of the selected thumbnail.
To change the thumbnail size of movie clips in the panel, use the Zoom slide bar.

I've tried different strategies but still no result...
1/ SQLX ->
OK the data is created the way I wanted.
Problem : it creates a XMLtype (how do you get this out of the db ? Apparently, you have to extract a CLOB).
Problem : Temporary CLOB are not supported by OO4O.
- Are they supported by OLE DB.
- I don't think I can use ODP.NET with ASP 3.0 (IIS 5.0).
2/ Create a view :
- I've written my XSD, registered it and created the view, using the same SQLX as in 1.
- Again that gives a temporary LOB that stays in the DB.
- The view has one column and one row only (XMLTYPE)
- trying to read it through an URI does not work : nothing is sent out (just the http header (status OK).
Of course : uri are for non XML data...
Can anybody suggest me a way to do things properly ?
(I can always generate the XML in the ASP through ADO "shapes" for example).

The DBURI Servlet should provide you with what you are looking for is you want to use HTTP to access your data. The format at of the URL is
http://host:port/oradb/DB_SCHEMA_NAME/TABLENAME.
I would experiment with getting the URL write in a browser before trying to read it programmatically.

Now what I would love to see and have talked to many that feel the same way, some of my friends work with Aaron Carter, writers, to Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters to composers and many want a JOHN WILLIAMS ASSISTANT, maybe thats what it should be called? Assistant or Arranger? Basically, I have seen many take Band in A Box (NO LAUGHING YET), play a riff on the piano, then it puts together some great ok, fair arragements that you never would of thought to do. They then open Omnisphere, BFD (or some drum thing), Trilogy (for bass), and a SOFTWARE ORCHESTRA and they have insta song. Apple would do the best job and really wished they snagged giga studio? I have great ears, can tell CHINA vs AMERICAN 6L6 coke bottles apart, even easier vs EL34, or broken .10 cent capacitor. Which would cost you that glassy~shimmer sound, like fender has, so this should had been swooped up by Apple as it was the WARMEST SOUNDING SAMPLER EVER INVENTED - probably one of a few that have a working MAC copy - -but they were to slow - by the time they had it, everyone ahd their own, OR they had (TASCAM) problems with security so when you get Kontakt, yeah, it might have great security but your paying for via the ROUND, WARM sound only possible by GIGA and Apple!
Now, I don't want someone with ZERO TALENT to come in, push a button and poof, a song, they tried with MAGIC GARAGE BAND but never really developed it so all they songs sound the same.
I would like to see a bass, orchestral, guitar, (although nothing beats playing) and especially an arranger where you lay down some notes and boom, a song is arranged for you. Apple could do it. Most that have Pro Tools also have LOGIC and most new hardware has THUNDERBOLT, so, if they put their minds to it, they would grab the pro's, prosumers in an instant and anyone on a PC would switch to mac just for the arranging as J. Wiiliams will play a few notes sometimes, and have an arranger write it out take off for a week or so and come back with a few versions.
Apple could do that, have a button to push, save but try again>Man, just having a program that throws maybe plugins and so on into the channel and change with the push of a button would be geniuos. Not to mention, start researching John Lennon, 65, 70, 75, 80 vocal chain, press a button, you have his affects/doubling, et-cetera. Plus Paul, Kurt K., Kelly Clarkson, everything from ROCK to metal to country and teen pop would be dope.
Then have LOGIC self regulate via the spectrum analizer and change thinks around until it was full as a great song with the guitar SOLO'd, should sound like poop, but when the rest of the mix is on, magic!

I have a new Mac book Pro and I would like to 'see and hear' the Audio and video on my television. My tv has 2 audio phono RCA jacks on the side and 1 video RCA jack on the side. It also has a s-video as well on the side (I have never used s-video.) My Mac Book Pro came with a DVI to VGA little cable adapter but how do I use this to get to my TV inputs? Do I have to buy from Apple, (or somewhere else), that cable called DVI to Video Adapter? but then that is only for the video? How do I get the audio out? From the headphone socket? And if this is the only way why hasn't Apple made their DVI out socket a dual purpose output ie: Video AND audio, like the mini DVI for the G4 powerbooks? Please help. If anyone has also come across this problem. I want to see my timeline in FCP on the TV before I put it to tape. Thanks.

You need a DVI or VGA to svideo adapter. They aren't cheap.

Because DVI carries only video. Apple is using a new video card in the MBP with different abilities.

I would like to see timer recording added to the next firmware. I have a Radioyourway LX and if my Vision M would do what the LX does, GAME OVER. Please add timer recording to the Vision M. Also bookmarking for the vovies would be nice too. I do not understand why that was left out?

Movies do have a resume feature. It's not as good as bookmarks, but adequate for me. If I exit the movie, it remembers exactly where I left off the next time I go back to it. I doubt we'll see timed recordings, but send some emails to Creative, especially the developer relations section.
