I made a movie that I would like to send to friends and family but not have it available to the public.
Since Mobileme doesn't exist anymore, how do I do that? Thanks

That would be a YouTube question not an iMovie question.
Also this is the forum for iOS (iPads and iPhones).
I can give you one solution though.
Publish to You Tube and choose the "unlisted" option.
This way it can only be videwed by people who have the link.
You get given the link once it is published.

Copy the content from one computer to another and import the media into iTunes.
Any playlists, playcounts, etc on the computer the content is being moved from will be lost.

In theory, a DisplayPort based iMac (something late 2009) can be used as an external screen from another Mac with DisplayPort or Thunderbolt port. I know that was one of the features listed back in 2009 when I got my 27" iMac, BUT I've never tried it, so I'm not sure of the details on making that work. I assume a mini-DisplayPort to mini-DisplayPort connector is needed, but that is just a guess.

You really can't. However, you can create a new playlist and add whole albums at a time to it and then when you play it back, be sure that the shuffle is not enabled and then you can hear whole albums from a certain genre in album order

I just got and Ipad 3 went through the process of connecting to icloud my wife then got a iphone 4 I was told that we can sych the 2 devices so that calandars contacts etc are common on both devices. I have an account id for the ipad on icloud does the account on the iphone have to be the same so that the 2 devices synch? I hope Im explaining myself well. Thanks for any help

I would like to send photo as an attachment. Whenever I email photos from iphoto the picture becomes part of the body of the email. This is problematic for my PC/dialup family members. Takes an hour to receive one compressed picture. I have read the other discussions and I too can't find the "plain text" option.
My email is running off of mobile me.

You're emailing from iPhoto?
In the iPhoto Preferences you can choose to use something else for creating emails - like Mail. That has a Plain Text option.

Most internet providers allow email attachments limited to about 20 MBs—a few less. In cases where the file size exceeds this limit, you basically have three options:
1) Re-compress the file to a smaller size. This usually involves reducing the display size along with a reduction in the data rate which often translates to degradation of quality. (I.e., Reducing the total data rate by half will reduce the file size by half.)
2) If both parties share an IM connection, the file can be sent directly from one party to the other.
3) Upload the main data file to a server and email a reference, QTL, or URL of its location to the receiving party who can then access/download the file. For instance, most ISPs allocate a certain amount of storage space to each user account. Many might be sufficient for your needs. If you have a MobileMe account, your movie can be shared/posted directly from iPhoto. There are also a number of sites, both free and commercial, that allow the uploading or sharing of such files. Some, like YouTube, are oriented towards viewing modified versions of you file while others allow downloading of the original file as uploaded. I believe all require a formal membership (free or paid) which is a sticking point for many people.
In short, there are many options available and you will probably need to research which might best serve your needs.

Try forcing iPhoto to load the Library on the External Hard drive by launching it while holding down the Option key. Choose the Library on the External HD, and quit iPhoto, see if iMovie can see the Library with the iPhoto Videos contained inside.

Unless you plan to have multiple email accounts open in different tabs at the same time, there is no need for Multifox. In a new email message window start to type the name of the Group you have in Contacts/Address Book in the 'To' field - it should self-complete when it recognises the name.
(Note: this only works with 'normal' Groups and not Smart 'Groups').
