I would like to set a password Toshiba StorE Art3 500

Dear Sirs,
I've bought Toshiba storE Art3 500 Go external hard disque and I've the next problem: I would like to set a password for the opening, but the hard disk never asks me for the password.
Pls make me know what I have to do that it asks me for a password when opening the disk or when opening the stored files.

As far as I know the Toshiab STOR.E ART 3, 2.5" includes pre-loaded NTI BackupNow EZ Software.

This software helps you to secure and backup the data. It provides a complete System and File & Folder backups.
It seems that only the backup can be secured with password protection and data encryption (up to 256-bit).

Hello, dot mac & MobtleMe no longer exist, though it may be possible to still use a dot mac addy... or maybe not if expired.
You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
    •    Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    •    SSL Required: Yes
    •    Port: 993
    •    Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    •    Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
    •    Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    •    SSL Required: Yes
    •    Port: 587
    •    SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
    •    Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    •    Password: Your iCloud password
Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria: 8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers. If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message. Go to   http://appleid.apple.com         then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.

I would like to enter my password less often. I am running the Hello Kitty OS (a.k.a. iOS 7).
Previously, I was able to set iPhone so it only required a password every 15 min. Now, after 5 min. I must reenter the password.

I need help. My three boys have brand new iPad mini's and I would like to set them up. I would like to create one new apple ID and have it shared by all three. This way they can share content (apps, music). How do I do that?

Looking for an information management solution. I have three boys that have brand new ipad mini's. I would like to set them up to manage information the easiest way.
My first thought was to use my apple ID for their apps and purchases. This would give me the advantage of seeing everything downloaded and be able to monitor this closely. The disadvantage to me, was that they would see all of my contracts, my apps, and my music.
My other thought was to create one new apple ID and to share that among the three boys. This way I would not have to worry about my information being on their ipads.
This is a very confusing situation for me. My goal is seperate my stuff from my kids stuff. Appreicate input from anyone who has in-depth experience with this as it applies to apple ID, icloud ID, and any detailed explaination of how to do this would be appreiciated. Thanks.

I think I will do this. I will use my apple ID and set face time and message to work independently. That solves one problrem. My other problem and maybe my bigger problem is that if I am using my apple ID, how do I iflter all of this so that my kids don't see my contacts, get my apps, etc. ?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your receiver is connected to your TV by HDMI and has a spare HDMI input port, then yes plug the HDMI cable from the Apple TV into your receiver.
If that's not possible the HDMI lead from the Apple TV can go straight to the TV and you can connect the receiver to the Apple TV with an optical audio cable.

I would like to add a password to Firefox's saved passwords but I can find no way to manually do this. The site does allow password saving, but Firefox does not prompt me to "Remember, Never Remember or Not Now" when I go to log in. The site is not listed on the "remembered passwords - exceptions" list. I do not know whether I have clicked "Never Remember" on a previous visit. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

Assuming you know the current (mistaken) passcode, go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock. The iPod will ask you to enter the current passcode. When you do, you will see a button to enter new passcode.

You can't connect an iPhone or iPad to a Mac via Bluetooth, except for Internet tethering.
You're not doing anything wrong - it just isn't a feature of iOS devices.
What were you hoping a Bluetooth connection would allow you to do?
