I would like to zip files on a cRIO 9012 RT platform.Are there any suitable VIs?

I've been trying to find a way to zip folders (that contain numerous TDMS and TXT files) on a cRIO RT platform.
Zipping the same folders on windows results in zipped files 10 times smaller.
It would be fantastic if I could do the same on the cRIO before these files have to be downloaded to a computer (through FTP which takes an extremely long time and freezes for several minutes the computer that receives the data).
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

For anyone who's pursuing the same goal, I have received some feedback from NI which I am including below.
If you have succeeded to zip files on an RT platform before or know how it can be done please share.

After every sequence finish execution in a client sequence file, i want to check the status of every step in that sequence. Based on the status, say i want to do something. Currently i am having a subsequence that gets called at the end of every sequence. I was wondering whether i could move this subsequence into some callbacks so that i don't have to call explicitly in every sequence.

There is a way, using the SequenceFilePostStep callback. This will execute for every step, but you can use a Flow Control 'If' to Check for PropertyExists("Parameters.Result.TS.SequenceCall"); when true, the step results for the sequence call will be in Parameters.Result.TS.SequenceCall.ResultList.
Note this will only execute for steps that occur in the sequence file that contains the SequenceFilePostStep callback.

Do you want to write a part of it yourself or do you want us to prepare you a complete solution? I provided you with a link to Java's zipping tutorial. If you took the effort to read it, you'll know there is an example zip.java.
You can put the initialisation in your main, take what's in the for loop, put it into a function. I assume you can write a program that takes 2 command line parameters, and pass those params to your zip function and you've got it... That's how far I'll go for your solution!

Only copies the file or files you select. The selection will remain unless you change it in case you wish to repeat the same copy to another location. Multiple and different copy operations can be run simultaneously.

I may have allowed myself to become a victim by listening to Fanbois posting elsewhere who always seem to go one better than everyone else. Now I have learnt two things Today; 65Mbit/s = Good enough and only read the apple forums.

There is currently no way to merge accounts. The best option is to pick one, and use it consistantly.

Here's a quick example I threw together that generates a sort-of-bell-curve shaped data distribution, then performs the binning and plotting.

I'm going to assume the consolidating files does not work due to hard drive space limitations.
Since you're moving to Windows 7, have you tried using the Windows files and settings transfer utility? That will move everything for you to the same location on the new computer, it also allows some control over what actually gets moved.
Alternatively, if you know the location of all of the media, it can be manually moved by copying it from the old computer to the new computer in the same location.
Also, using the Apple article on moving the library, take a slight twist on what it says. Move the iTunes library to the external drive, update the settings in iTunes to reflect the library being on the external drive, then consolodate it.
The options are endless for moving the library... it simply takes a little effort to make it happen and possibly a twist on existing "standard" methods depending on your unique situation.

I'm upgrading my laptop and would like to re-install my PS CS6 on my new system. Any licensing issues? Any "gotchas" or tips I should be aware of?

My current system is having a hard time keeping up and it's time for an upgrade. I have a license for Adobe Design Standard CS6 and obviously would like to make sure my license is valid after the upgrade.
How do I go about migrating from one system to the other? Are there any "gotchas" I should be aware of?
is there a published "how to" document on how to do this?

On no account use anything designed to make the upgrade painless by copying the software across... will leave you with something more or less broken. Reinstalling and setting up properly takes time, but is necessary.
So the basic "how to" is "imagine you just bought it for the first time". After it is working, deactivate on the old system to avoid future pain.
I'm not sure if anyone has any views on whether to use migration for any other purpose. I'm inclined to say, reinstall everything, copy data, set up afresh.

You can change the default download location by going to ''Tools > Options > General''. The [[Options window - General panel]] has some extra information on all of the options available.

You can set times for your computer to turn on or wake from sleep in the Energy Saver system preference pane using the Schedule... button.
