I18n, localization of the search textfield's label

Hello ,
i am not able to modify search textfield's label. I know , there are resource bundles for any countries defined in class file like Constants_de , Constantns_en .... . But for the search textfield label i get always the value from the german bundle. I think this is realizied over the default Locale.
So i think , this could be a bug.
Does anybody seen this behavoir ? What can i do ?

Firefox should dim extensions that aren't compatible after the page has loaded.<br />
If that isn't the case then you may be blocking the JavaScript that performs this dim action.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

  • How do I change the label of the search when using ADF Query?

According to Fusion UI standards, the search label should say Advanced Search or Search depending on whether or not the search is advanced or basic. Can anyone point me to some code that accomplishes this or describe how this should be done.? Thanks, -Klaus

    Hi Lucas,
You can use the 'set(int, String, Image)' method on ChoiceGroup or on List depending on where your Choice elements are.
Check the Java doc of ChoiceGroup or List for this 'set' method. In short, the 'int' refers to the index within the entire list, the 'String' object refers to the new caption of the choice element and the 'Image' object refers to the icon that has to be set for the choice element (can be 'null').
    Good luck!

  • I am unable to search my history in the Search History feature as when i type a term the history list goes blank labeling "no items." Is there a reason for this and a way i can search my history to find specific sites and content??

When i try to search for specific sites whether to find something or group together a list of sites from the same site, etc, after i type in a term in the Search History box, nothing appears. When i click the empty area it says "no item selected" at the bottom. However i can still search my bookmarks. Just wondering if there's a way to fix this.

It seems to have worked itself out. Thanks anyway!

    Good day,
On Search Page, I have searched for the record(s) then deleted a record and got confirmation message i.e. Record has deleted. Next when I search for any record I'm getting below error.

  • How can I set a gap in a JTextField, before the active Textfield starts?

    Hi,
how can I set a gap in a JTextField, before the active Textfield starts?
I'll avoid, that the input text starts immediately after the border of the JTextField.
Btw, how can I set the height of the JTextField in a BoxLayout?

  • FPM_SEARCH_UIBB: Fine Tuning of the Search Area

    Hello experts,
I created a search application using FPM_SEARCH_UIBB. The user should only have a fixed search area with twelve search criterias, two of them should be mandatory.
The general setup of the search area is done and works fine. But there are some nasty details I'm struggling with.
    Hide + / - Signs
In IF_FPM_GUIBB_SEARCH~GET_DEFINITION I set MAX_1_VALUE to abap_true. This prevents the user from adding search critera which is already on the search area. So far so good.
But is it possible to hide the + / - signs completely? If there is a plus-sign the user will click on it. If all criterias are already on the screen the user will receive an ugly error message. So the signs should be hidden.
    Make Operators Read-Only
For all search criterias only the 'is' operator i relevant. All other operators are already excluded. But in the UI the operators are still displayed as drop-down fields and the user has the possibility to open it just to see that there is only one entry in the list.
Is it possible to make the operator field read-only? Hiding it would also be an option.
    Mark search fields as mandatory
As mentioned two of the search fields should be mandatory. In IF_FPM_GUIBB_SEARCH~GET_DEFINITION I set attribute mandatory = abab_true with the result that the minus signs on the right side are hidden and the label is read-only so that the attribute cannot be changed.
The check whether a value is maintained is implemented in IF_FPM_GUIBB_SEARCH~PROCESS_EVENT.
    Now the question:
The search attributes are not marked with a red star as mandatory as it is standard for form UIBBs. Is there somewhere a setting to mark the attributes consistently with a star? I know that this is a minor issue but there are people who are very keen on red stars for mandatory fields.
    Best regards,
    Markus

Which NW release are you talking about? As of release 7.03/7.31 there is the possibility to define a result list in the GUIBB Search that is based on the new GUIBB List ATS. This offers highest flexibility to the application developer.

  • I have a macbook pro with OSX 10.9.3 and Safari 7.0.4. How do I remove BING FROM SEARCHING when i type something into the search bar

I have a macbook pro with OSX 10.9.3 and Safari 7.0.4. How do I remove BING FROM SEARCHING when i type something into the search bar

See below if the search engine setting was changed without your knowledge and you can't change it back.
You installed the "Genieo/InstallMac" rootkit. The product is a fraud, and the developer knowingly distributes an uninstaller that doesn't work. I suggest the tedious procedure below to disable Genieo. This procedure may leave a few small files behind, but it will permanently deactivate the rootkit (as long as you never reinstall it.)
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data. You must know how to restore from a backup even if the system becomes unbootable. If you don't know how to do that, or if you don't have any backups, stop here and ask for guidance.
    Step 1
In the Applications folder, there may (or may not) be an application named "Genieo". Genieo may be partially installed even if this item is absent. If it's present, select it and open the Finder Info window. If it shows that theVersion is less than 2.0, download and install the current version from the genieo.com website. This may seem paradoxical, since the goal is to remove it, but you'll be saving yourself some trouble as well as the risk of putting the system in an unusable state.
There should be another application in the same folder named "Uninstall Genieo". After updating Genieo, if necessary, launch "Uninstall Genieo" and follow the prompts to remove the "newspaper-style home page." Restart the computer.
This step does not completely inactivate Genieo.
    Step 2
Don't take this step unless you completed Step 1, including the restart, without any error messages. If you didn't find the Genieo application, or if you couldn't complete Step 1 for any reason, stop here and ask for instructions.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Frameworks/GenieoExtra.framework
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
    from the contextual menu.
If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder should open with an item named "GenieoExtra.framework" selected. Move that item to the Trash. You'll be prompted for your administrator password.
Move each of these items to the Trash in the same way:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.update.plist
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.engine.plist
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieoinnovation.macextension.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.genieoinnovation.macextension.client.plist
    /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.genieoinnovation.macextension.client
    /usr/lib/libgenkit.dylib/usr/lib/libgenkitsa.dylib
    /usr/lib/libimckit.dylib
    /usr/lib/libimckitsa.dylib~/Library/Application Support/com.genieoinnovation.Installer~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.download.plist
    ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.update.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those listed above, move them as well. There's no need to restart after each one. Some of these items will be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
Restart and empty the Trash. Don't try to empty the Trash until you have restarted.
    Step 3
From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including ones called "Genieo" or "Omnibar," and any that have the word "Spigot" or "InstallMac" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Your web browser(s) should now be working, and you should be able to reset the home page and search engine. If not, stop here and post your results.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install this software. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad has a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If youever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Genieo developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
Finally, be forewarned that when Genieo is mentioned on this site, the perpetrator of the scam sometimes shows up under the name "Genieo support." He will tell you to run the provided uninstaller. As he knows and intends, the uninstaller does not completely remove the malware.

  • How to make the FileName TextField in JFileChooser uneditable.

I'm trying NOT to allow the user to edit the filename but yet I also want them to see files in the current directory. Currently I have created an extended BasicFileChooserUI class that allows the user to traverse through any directories and the user may click on a file, but filename that is original set has not been edited. But that doesn't help if I can't restrict the textfield box. The filename textfield box is editable by default and I can't seem to find a way to disable it. Anyone with an answer plz help me. I'd greatly appreciate ur help.
    John

I just searched the java-api and found nothing useful. So, this would be my way:
You should search through file .../javax/swing/JFilechooser.java (you have the zipped code for the API (?)) and look for our JTextField name. You can modify the file by adding e.g. a setFieldDisabled() method (or whatever you want) and add the new file to your package. Then you will just use your custom ...yourPackage.JFileChooser (or MyFileChooser), which will be an extension of the swing's one.
If you think it is unusual or complicated, don't, just try it.
    bye, thanasis

Maybe on the Google API s page?

  • Why is the search on my mail app not working?

I just bought the new iPod touch 5th generation. I synced it with my iTunes, transferring all the apps I had on my old 3rd generation iPod touch. Everything works fine, except the search on my mail app. When I type in some keyword to search, and click the "all" label, it won't actually search all my email content, only the subjects and senders. Any way to fix this?

No. From the Users Guide it only searchs mail for:
Mail—To, From, and Subject fields of all accounts (the text of messages isn’t searched)

  • I can't get rid of bing in the search bar

How can I get my default search engine back to google?  Everything I put into the search bar gets searched with bing as the search engine.

You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
    ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates
    if it's not already checked.
