I5 Vs i7

In the process of buying a new I-MAC
Which is the best solution if the new machine will be used primarily
for Adobe Photoshop, Adobe illustrator and Adobe Indesign software??
Wiil the jump to the i7 processor make a significant increase in speed or other??
Thank you

I support two 27" iMacs in our Graphics shop at work.  Both have the quad-core i5 processor.  Both are running the same Adobe apps you mention plus Final Cut Studio and they perform very well with the i5.  We considered paying the addional cost of the i7, but decided that we could do nicely with the i5, and we are not disappointed.
By the way, one of our staff processes 16 to 20 GB high def videos in Final Cut Studio using the i5 with 8GB RAM and tells me that it is faster than his previous MacPro with 20GB RAM with two CoreTwo Duo 2.6 GHz processors.
Hope this is helpful.
