IActivityResponse.Publish Method (IDictionary) Not Working

I cannot get this example to return results to my runbook.  I get the output fields but no output.  If I alter the line:
response.PublishRange(publishedData);
to
response.PublishRange("ID",publishedData);
I get output in the ID field as I would expect.  I also noticed I have to search for that article. If I browse through the SDK it looks like that has been removed. Was this depreciated?  How can I get this to work?

Since I could not get the result set to retun back as a whole set like they have, I ended up having to specity my outputs in my responces. Orchestrator was intellegent enough to correlate each list as a column in the item as a whole. When it calls out to
my next runbook object, it sends the columns grouped properly for each item and fires off the object once for each item in the compiled list as I desired.
