My iPhone 4s will not power up. It only shows a black screen with the apple logo that flashes slowly when i plug in to the computer. Unable to do a reset.

You state you can't get past the Apple logo on the iPhone and have tried a reset. Have you also tried recovery mode?

You might need to use recovery mode to restore your device in these cases:
iTunes doesn't recognize your device or says it's in recovery mode.
You see the Apple logo onscreen for several minutes with no progress bar.
You see the Connect to iTunes screen.

IPhone 5 apple logo flashing when on charge.
My iPhone 5 randomly turned off last night and I was unable to turn it on. I then plugged it into a charger and the apple logo appeared and then went again. This flashing has been happening continuously - black screen for 5 seconds, apple logo for 10 seconds.
I found that if I held the power button 3 seconds, then also held the home button at the same time for ten seconds and the released the power button and held just the home button for another 10 seconds, the flashing stops and the screen goes black.
However, the flashing only occurrs when my device is plugged in to charge, if it isn't it is just a black screen, no matter what buttons I press.
I looked on the internet and they all say hold the power button and home button for 6/10/12/60 seconds, which does not help. Others say I have to restore it, but I havent backed up my phone in a while and all my important photos are on there that I do not want to lose. I then downloaded the software EaseUS MobiSaver which advertises that you can back up your phone even if it doesn't turn on. This also failed to work and the software cannot pick up that my iPhone is plugged in.
Also iTunes only picks up my device when its in restore mode but says I have to restore it before I can do anything further on iTunes.
Is there another way to fix it without restoring?

At this point, the next troubleshooting step is to restore the device in iTunes, there is no way out of Recovery Mode without restoring. Take a look at the article below for more information.

Iphone 3gs apple logo flashing
I have an iphone 3gs that does nothing when not plugged in but when i plug it into the computer and the apple logo will come on and go off. I plug it into the wall charger and it boots up but says the phone needs activated and wont let me do anything else and when i unplug it to plug it into the computer it shuts off. I have put it in dfu mode and it goes to restore but at the end of the process when almost done the phone shuts off. ive looked up every way possible to fix it and have done everything but have had no luck..
Hi following the "hardware" problem I purchased a new iphone 4 as i didn't want to pay £120 for another 3GS only to find a problem on the next update.
However yesterday following reading a few forums i decided to give it one last try - rebooted phone and it is now working!!! I am so angry as 5 staff in 2 Apple shops all said it was hardware. I was in an Apple shop for an hour whilst they tried everything to get it working. Obviously this is not the case and going by the number of threads on this problem it is a massive issue. It's not surprising Apples profits are up if people are having to replace perfectly working Iphone 3s.
Apple have to own up to this it is not acceptable.
I am off back to Apple tomorrow as i am not going to let this rest especially as i am £500 worse off. Will keep you posted -
IPhone says 'Connect To iTunes' but won't turn on when plugged into the computer.

Having a major problem with my iPhone today. This morning it slipped off my desk somehow and fell on the floor. When I picked it up it would not turn on or respond, so I plugged it into the charger, the apple logo appeared and then the lock screen came up - it said slide to unlock, so I did and then it just said 'connect to iTunes' and I could not use it at all. So I unplugged it from the charger and it immediately turned off and became unresponsive again. I plugged it into the computer and started up iTunes. The apple logo appeared on the phone but then disappeared after about 15s. Then a few moments later the logo appeared again. And then disappeared again. This happens every time I plug it into the computer and what I described with the charger happens every time I plug it in there. Unfortunatley I cant seem to put it into recovery mode, especially as my home button is almost completely unresponsive and I have no idea if its working when trying to put into recovery mode. Please help!You could try to do a hard reset, sometimes resetting the phone helps. Hold down the sleep/wake button on the top and the home button until you see the apple logo, this make take a minute or two but this might help.

I just encountered this problem for the first time and stumbled upon this forum to find a solution. I played around with it a bit and it seems that if you slide your finger from the bottom up, you will come upon that new screen that will allow you to do various functions with your phone (put it in airport mode, lock, etc.), you can select your Airport from this screen and play your music wirelessly from your phone; at least this was my experience. The phone won't even reset.. when i try and reset EVERYTHING on the phone the apple logo with the progress bar starts to come up but the progress never moves.. PLEASE help me.. I'm at my wits end with this phone and I'm ready to just trash it.

Nonsense, and very misleading advice. I've updated iPhone 3G, 3Gs,and 4 through itunes many times, never had a problem once, not with one single update in nearly 5 years of iPhones. Dude you have a jailbroken phone as stated in your first post, no need to do a second post.

My wirelessinternet speed seems to be fine, however, trying to play a 1 minute video from my iphone to apple tv via airplay is so slow. Any fixes?

Don't use WiFi for streaming video. It is even worse for AirPlay since you are using bandwidth twice as it sends data from the iOS device to the router and then from the router to ATV. Use an wired connection to go to ATV. Even the high end consumer grade WiFi equitment is not great at doing streaming video. -
I was an apple beta tester for iOS7 and now my iPhone 5 shut down, it's unresponsive it gets recognized by iTunes when plugged into the computer but that's it. Since I was a beta tester is there any way to fix my iPhone??
Are you still running iOS 7 bet?. If so go to the private developer section for help. We cannot help you here with beta software.

If all you get is the Apple logo and it powering off, then the next step is to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you have a back up, then you can put that on there to once the restore is complete.

It appears you are in Thailand and currently the iphone hasn't been released there so you most likely have an unlocked iphone, you most likely wont find anyone here to assist you with your iphone nor will Apple assist you, i would suggest going back to the place or person where you purchased this iphone for them to assist you.
