Ibase  change ICSS

Heloo All,
in my icss(e service) application, when ever user chnages/updates ibase, the chnages should  not be flown to ECC unless until some one in my client side in crm system approves it.
How to achieve that requirements.
any ideas/clues please.

    Hi Everybody,
                         can any body tell me while changing the IBASE after creation, is there any way to buffer the ibase so that when i change the ibase (using FM CRM_IBASE_CHANGE) it wont go to hit the database again and again which reduces the performance. Its taking so much time to create it and update the database (BAPI_Transaction_Commit ). Please help.

  • Service Desk - need IB52 iBase "partner assignment" mass change

    Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
    We are using SAP Service Desk in Solution Manager 7.0 EhP-1.
    There are many satellite systems connected to SolMan using Service Desk.
    Of course all of them are setup in SMSY, have a valid iBase entry in IB52, and have the "sold-to-party" assigned in IB52 -> Goto -> Partner.
    Now we need to assign a new business partner as "sold-to-party" for all these systems.
    We do not want to rename the current business partner, but have to assign a new business partner to not influence existing tickets.
    Thus, manually we would need to go to IB52 and change the partner assignment in IB52 -> Goto -> Partner and enter a new value for all the systems.
    Q: is there a way to perform a mass change for the "sold-to-party" partner assignment of the iBase entries? Is it possible to update or replace all or multiple existing partner assignments in iBase?

    Can you please tell me how did you create iBase for NON-SAP Systems? I know it is IB51/IB52? I am not sure what do you do after that? For an example I went to IB51 and create iBase number 403? now I go to IB52 and put the 403 in the installed Base field and click on Green arrrow to go inside correct? what do I do after that? where is the options to create the iBase name call "Network Group" ?
    How did you solve your issue for not showing when you went to F4 in NOTIF_CREATE? was that authorization error? if yes, do you know the object name?

  • IBase When Creating a Request for Change in Solution Manager 7.1

    Hello all,
    We recenlty upgraded our sandbox system to Solution Manager 7.1 SP3 and are currently investigating the new ChaRM functionality with the new CRM UI. Our company had configured ChaRM back in 2007 and has been working very well since the initial delivery.
    While I was following the Request for [Change process simulation from RKT|https://websmp208.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000478022011E/index.htm] on our sandbox system, I had noticed that the iBase and Component that we have  created in transaction IB52 prior to the upgrade were not showing in our search when we were defining the Change Request Scope section. In the documentation that I have read leading up to the upgrade, there have been no mention of the iBase/Component data becoming invalid post-upgrade nor have I found a conversion process.  I have done a search here on SDN and on SAP Notes to see why the iBase and Components were not showing up.
    Has anybody encountered this issue since the upgrade to 7.1 or is there something I need to do in IB52 in order for the iBase/Component in the new CRM GUI?
    Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    yes in 7.0 it worked for me too, that is because in 7.0 ChaRM searched for projects based on the IBase you selected.
    If there were more than one project where this system is involved you got a pop up where to chose your project.
    In 7.1 you chose the project directly, instead of let the system search for you.
    And depending on what productive-systems are in this project you get your Ibase list.
    If you don't select a project at all you will still get a list of all Ibases in your system.
    Iif you ask the SAP, they will allways tell you that you have to have a productive system in your project, at least as you pointed out with a virtual system.
    I did not read i t though and therfore ca nnot provide any sources.
    This is all based on my experiences.

    When we create a change request via SOLMAN_WORK_CENTER, we are supposed to provide values for
    1) IBase
    2) Component
    3) Product ID
    Ibase can be defined as the way SAP differentiates in a multiple system (APO, CRM, ECC) environment, the corresponding environment.
    The values corresponding to IBase can be obtained via IB51,52 and 53 tcodes.
    Can the value for IBase obtained via SMSY t code also?
    What does component and Product ID signify?
    Where can we get values for Component and Product ID?
    Is Product ID the same as value we get from menu Option System->Status->Installation Number
    Is it necessary to provide all 3 values (i.e. IBase, Component , Product ID) while creating change request?
    If Not, how will SolMan identify which system the change should point to?
    Or only value for Ibase is enough?

    Product ID is not mandatory. I actually hide it in the CRMD_ORDER screen.

    Product ID - in a customizing table, I've seen it once but can't remember where honestly. As stated, I don't bother with the field

    By the logical components assigned to your maintenance project. You can actually have transports for more than one production assigned to your change document. For instance you could have a BI and ECC transport assigned to the sane change document. Your tak list will have the dev, testing and production systems for each logical component assigned.
    Or only value for Ibase is enough?
    I was having this discussion with someone the other day. Since the logical components assigned to the mianteance project really determines what systems you can create transports for, what is the value of the component field? Best I could determine was when you use the Logon on to System action, it points to the one listed in the component field only. other than that, I'm not sure.

  • IBase warranty changes take effect???? Urgent..

      I face a difficult where I need to change my iBase warranty database. I manage to grab the warranty information through the call function below. However, after I do the changes I still cant manage to see the effect in the IB53. The changes are not updating the particular iBase although I already call save. I have tried few save function module also no effect... Anyone can help me on this?

    if i made some changes to a workbook (e.g: change some conditions) on discoveror desktop,will them take effect at the same time on discoveror plus???When you save the report using the desktop the workbook in changed for all users including the Plus,
    But in order to see the change in the Plus you will have to re-login to Plus.
    This is since the workbook is saved to memory of the user's PC.
    how and where can I make control for one user to access some workbooks and another user to access some other workbooks both on desktop and plus? (workbook accessibility control)Only the owner of the workbook can do that.
    This is done in the desktop as well as in Plus.
    In desktop go to the tool bar "File -> Manage Workbooks -> Sharing" then choose the workbook and share it with whom ever you like.
    In Plus you can find it in the tool bar "File -> Manage Workbooks" then click on any of the reports and select the "Share" from the right.
    You have to make sure that the shared user have access to the BA that the workbook is based on, and that the user have the privilege to use the desktop/Plus (this is done in the Administrator tool)

  • IBASE Bump Process - Configuration change

    Hi,
    we are configuring the IBASE process for bump processing.

    I am basically aware of the main configuration and the processes as well how it should work.
    It does also work nice in our Sandbox (configurations done long time ago by others) and now I have transferred that into the real business scenario.
    Unfortunately in the bump process I can not change the IBASE configuration values. The sales order nicely picks up all the required information but I am facing the problem that the configuration of the characteristics stay gray, no maintennace possible.
    I have checked all the master data, equipment configuration, item category etc. I do not know what controls the possiblity of maintenance.
    I must assume that it is something in the serial number creation (equipment) that says it is final and does not allow the bump process.
    Anyone an idea? I have not found much helpful user or consultant information by now about those topics / issues.

  • Save changes in the iBase application

    hello Guys,
    I  have the Following problem . I have created a new assignment block in the Ibase in the compoenet IBHIER. For this assignement block i have created 2 events the NEW and DELETE events and it works. Now I have the problem that i cant' save the changes , it means when i click on new to create a new record in the Z-table i have created for this assignment block, i can enter the data in the record but the save button in th Overview page of the Ibase doesn't turn in activ modus, so i can't save it..
    The save event in the iBase is handled by the event handler EH_ONSAVE  in the component IBMAIN/IBMAINViewSet. So it means when i make a change in the standard assignement block in the Ibase and press enter the save button turns in the activ modus and i can save these changes , but for My newly created assignement it doesn't work.
    Can someone Help there please.

    Hi,
    Actually whenver you press the Save button in the overview IBMAIN , the context nodes of the ibase gets saved, but you haved added zassignment block , the data of the block is not retrived to the IBMAIN, so create the context node in the IBMAIN which have created in the Z applicaion and map using the WD_USAGE_INITIALIZE  and bind the context nodes.
    Now redifine your SAVE method and try to save ur zapplication data along with the standard

  • Multiple Ibase/components with one change request / interfacing Lotus Notes

    <b>Scenario:</b> Our users post all their software change requests (not only for SAP) into an application based on <b>Lotus Notes</b>. Professionals of the IT department evaluate the requests and make a offer for each of the change requests. The users may (or may not) accept the offer and place an order - all this in Lotus Notes, and not only for SAP.
    If that order is confirmed and points to the SAP environment, <b>Lotus Notes automatically must involve Solution Manager</b> by calling a rfc-enabled function module in the Solution Manager system. This function module has to create a Solution Manager Change Request (simulating CRMD_ORDER transaction) together with its maintenance cycle, task list and transport request.
    <b>Problem:</b> One of the problems is, that Lotus Notes change requests for SAP environment often require <b>changes to multiple logical components</b>, like R/3 plus BW plus CRM.
    <b>Question:</b> The question is, how to create a Solution Manager Change Request for multiple components? This is caused by the restriction of the input screen of CRMD_ORDER which allows <b>only one Ibase/component assignment</b>.
    Do you already have worked on this or any idea that might help? I would appreciate very much if you would share your expertise. Thank you.

    Hi Heiner,
    The work around that I use is in my maintenance project I have added all the logical components that I will have to work with.(R/3, ECC 6.0, BW etc..) This way, when I created the Maintenance cycle, my task list had all of these systems/clients in it.
    The only hick is that in the CRMD_ORDER transaction, you only can put one ibase component.
    The above mentioned solution works if you combine all your systems into one maintenance cycle.

  • Service Desk - Change IBase component

    Hi,
    I updated my Solution Manager to the latest available SPs a couple of days ago. After this I found one small problem.
    In the service desk, on going to the change option I am unable to change the IBase component. I was able to do this earlier, when I was on SP11
    Any idea whether there would be any config which would control this?

    Have you check your authorization assigned to user.
    are you authorize to change IBase etc. check and revert.
    Most probably it will this error.
    Secondly if it is transaction variant .......check IBASE field.....
    IF IBASE Field is checked for display only in that case you need to uncheck it open for input.

  • Changing of iBase in Change Requests and Corrections being processed

    Good day!
    After going SP18 with Solution Manager our iBase component system has gone "mad": number for productive ERP-system has changed several times.
    Because of this change, a number of already approved change requests and corrections in processing can't be modified correctly. I can't change their status by regular operations from system document. Multiple correction/ change request change also won't work. And I can't change the iBase component in this documents, because the field is read only.
    How can I close all Change Requests and corrections with old iBase component number?
    Is there a way to change the iBase number in already approved Change Requests and Corrections, so i can perform operations with this system documents.

    Anyway I implemented the note to which you refer, and still can't change iBase component in corrections and change requests which are in process. The "iBase/Component" field is still read only and contains components which do not exist anymore.
    Do you know how can I change this values?

  • How to control change request creation for particular IBase Component?

    Dear Experts,
    Can anybody suggest , how to control change request creation for particular IBase Component?
    We have implemented ChaRM which is integrated with SAP ECC & SAP BI.
    ChaRM is not integrated with SAP Solution Manager.
    End Users are creating support notifications from -Help Menu- Create Support Notification.
    The IBase Component is not editable once notification is created. This Ibase is copied to change request when the action-create change document is saved.
    Requirement is that, during creation of change document, system should check the IBase component of support notification. If the IBase is related to solution manager system, system should restirct the change request creation.
    Kindly suggest how to achieve this.

    Hello Vivek,
    The way to do what you want is to create a schedule condition for action Create Change Document. The action has to be displayed only when the IBase/Component value differs from SolMan. To add the IBase/Component value to the container so that it can be evaluated during runtime, you will have to create a subtype of BUS2000116 on which condition can be buit.

    By creation of Change Request the value "IBase / Component" should be filled.
    The default values here are: "0" and "0".
    Has some one already customizng experience here?
    I would like to change the value to e.g. "1" and "314" (my productive IBase).

    Hi Holger,
    I am not sure about CHARM.
    But since CHARM is also based on Service Desk functionality, may be the transaction IB52 can help you.
    Executing IB52 transaction, will take u to a screen from where u can select your Installed Base using value help. In most of the cases, there will be only one option.
    Just select that iBase, in the following screen, you will be able to see all the attributes of your installed base in the Text tab of the lower right part of the screen which is editable. Here you can make the required changes as you wish.

  • IBase component number changed

    After applying SP18 on Solution Manager I have encountered a problem: iBase component number for productive ERP-system has changed three times.
    (first it was 50, then 250, then 268, now 691).
    Right now the process for keeping up to date information about
    satellite systems in Solution Manager is following:
    1.All system data is stored at System Landscape Directory (SLD).
    2.Once an hour it's automatically transfered to SMSY in Solution Manager via
    scheduled task - RSGET_SMSY.
    3.After that (or every time SMSY is saved) iBase is updated.
    Main question is, why did existing iBase component (productive ERP was
    always in list of iBase components) change its number?
    How to prevent this from happening in the future?

    Please check weather ibase is generated for the development system in IB52, Check the Note 1284794 - SMSY: IBase generation cannot be deactivated.
    if Ibase is created for the development system , go to DSWP and the solution that u have maintained the satelite system and do the initial data transfer for Ibase(path would be edit->initial data transfer for Ibase)
