IBM Netcool/OMNIbus probe for SCOM

My SCOM 2012 environment feeds SCOM alerts to two IBM Netcool/OMNIbus probe. In the probe property file the connector names are different and they show correctly in the Internal Connector tab.
However when I try to forward any alert directly from monitoring console, it doesn't show me the connector names but only IBM Netcool/OMNIbus probe for both connectors. How and where can I change this name?

If we check the properties of both connector, where can we see "IBM Netcool/OMNIbus probe for SCOM", there should be a property that indecate that for both of them.
And from what I am thinking, this seems like designed by the connector, if we cannot change the above setting for both of the connector, then we may not be able to achieve the goal.

These V7000s manage the external disk storage for the IBM iSeries systems at each of the data centres.
We would like to link them in to SCOM monitoring so that any alerts can be picked up rather than having to do that manually as we do now. Can you let me know what info is required & how we go about this.

This time I have registered myself and got an IBM Id associated to my Email Address and downloaded the files. Still I couldn't monitor what I am expecting. Let me explain.
I have exported SCOM Storage MP and got below files.
When I try to execute “SCOM-Integration-Pack-WSX64-02.00.35.0002.exe”, it installed IBM Storage Subsytems. It looks like below(Add Storage Subsystems screenshot).
As per Documentation, I should get an option to select Storewize v7000. I am worrying if I have downloaded wrong MP’s from IBM portal. But I dont see any other MP's related to SCOM IBM MP's.
When I select “Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager Management Pack” in product Selector, I am getting only option to select Version 2.0 and 32 or 64 bit exe’s.
As per documentation, we should download below files:
IBM_Storage_MP_for_SCOM-windows-x86-2.1.0.exe – for 32-bit Windows Server versions
IBM_Storage_MP_for_SCOM-windows-x64-2.1.0.exe – for 64-bit Windows Server versions
My ultimate goal is to achieve below requirement:

I need a report with all monitored monitors & rules with their effective threshold for SCOM 2007 R2. I tried few scripts & tools mentioned on different blogs, but not getting anything.
Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

This would be a custom report, which is not available to my knowledge. You need to consider overrides, and this is the crux of the situation. What you can do is open the pack in MPViewer, and export the pack which will contain the thresholds. And you could
also create an override view, in My Workspace, based on the pack you are interested in.
Otherwise, it will be a custom TSQL query or stored procedure, that you may incorporate into your custom report.

Third party software for scom dashboard

Hi guys,
Not sure it is possible or can be done. Is there any third party software or plug in I can find for scom 2012 dashboard? It is fine if we have to pay for it.
I had created a dashboard for operators to monitor systems which included alerts, performance, and instance details; however, they don't like it and want to look for third party solutions.
Another question is that how I can put "Ping Status" into the dashboard, whcih I created. Maybe that is the reason operators don't like it.....Please help and thanks.

SCSM's Allowed List for SCOM CI Connector not working as expected

Hi Everyone,
We're running into some unexpected behavior with the SCOM CI Connector, wondering if anyone can shed some light on it. Our requirement is to ensure Distributed Applications are not sync'd from SCOM to SCSM (hence, they don't show up in the "All
Business Services" view). We have only two MPs in SCOM/SCSM that sync Distributed Applications, both of which are for SharePoint monitoring.
We have the 2 SharePoint MP's in both SCSM and SCOM. We've configured the SCOM CI Connector to select the 2 SharePoint MP's for synchronization.
Now, we thought all we'd need to do to ensure the SharePoint Distributed Applications no longer sync from SCOM to SCSM is remove the "System.Service" class from the Allowed List of classes for SCOM CI -- which we did, however, they continue to
sync.
After a fair amount of back and forth trying to figure out how we need to configure the Allowed List of classes for the SCOM CI Connector to ensure the DA's aren't sync'd any more, we finally removed ALL classes from the Allowed List. Surely, this
will stop the sync we thought -- however, after having deleted the SharePoint Business Service CI's, removing ALL classes from the Allowed List, and then rerunning the SCOM CI Connector, the Distributed Applications associated with the SharePoint MP's STILL
come over.
Is there something I'm missing here?

Opinions on IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner for Data...

I'm going to be getting into Oracle data mining or the IBM DB2
Intelligent Miner for Data. The info given out by IBM (online at
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/data/iminer/fordata) indicates
that it ought to be okay if I've got an Oracle database. I've
installed Oracle8i Enterprise Edition (8.1.7) on Windows 2000; &
I've got the 9i installer cd's (I've not gotten that far yet).
For now, I'm interested in opinions on if/whether I ought to go
with Oracle Data Mining (9i, I guess...is this an option in 8i?)
or the IBM data mining option. I'm looking for an intuitive
interface, obvious & easy-to-follow instructions (if this
exists); & features, I guess. Is one going to offer a nicer
overall interface but be limiting?, etc. Thanks,

i had another hanpup in BW.
Our AIX level is : 6100-05-01-1016 (released in 4/2010)
I find an APAR for TL4 from 4/2010, which shows the same behaviour.
So i'll try db2_use_iocp=off
Info to APAR:
APAR Number: IZ74508
APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
When IOCP is on and used by DB2 at AIX 6.1 TL04, DB2
calls
sqloGetMultipleCompletionStatus() which in turn
calls AIX's IOCP extension.
The IOCP call GetMultipleCompletionStatus() never returns
causing I/O to stop when DB2 is in it's page cleaning
routines.
Local fix
1. Stay at 6.1 TL03 and below
or
2. Do not activate IOCP in DB2.
We will see how it works.

Maintainence Mode script for SCOM 2012

Hi All
Currently we use PowerShell script to place servers in maintenance mode (SCOM 2007 ). While executing the script we specify a text file which contains list of agents.
Am looking for same type of script which can work for SCOM 2012. After searching I got the MM tool for placing agent or group in Maintenance. Instead I would need the script to get agents from text file. Also it should check if agent is part of
cluster and place related cluster also in MM.
Let me know , if any one can help me here.

Health probe for RDP farm

I have an RDP server farm that lost a disk. The RDP service was still running but users were unable to log in. I'd like to create a health probe that does maybe a combination of TCP probe for port 3389 and something that can determine if the drive that stores user profiles is available.
I cannot add any new service (http or ftp) to the server.
Can anyone think of another way to do this? Is there any way I can check SNMP mibs on the windows server or maybe WMI through TCL?

My application is trying to a https://xyz.com from java code and i am getting the above exception.
I tried connecting to "https://xyz.com " from my workspace via Websphere 5.1 server and my server is throwing the above exception. I have extened the ibmjsse provided by WAS 5.1 and using it for connecting to the HTTPS URL.
I feel the above problem might be due to network issues. Please help me in resolving the same.

Steps i have done to ensure the connectivity :
Method A :
1) I imported the pfx and CA certificates given by xyz.com in my web browser (IE)
2) After that, I tried connecting to "https://xyz.com" from browser and getting a proper response.
Method B :
1) I updated the jre cacert with CA certificate given by xyz.com
2) Loaded the pfx keystore from my java client code program and ran it as a java standalone code and got the proper response.
