IBM TWS Tivoli and PT 8.53 Issue

Question

After upgrading our tools from 8.49 to 8.53, our IBM TWS Tivoli batch scheduling tool has stopped working.  The information we have at this point from IBM is that PT 8.53 is not supported and the TWS psagent will NOT work with PT 8.53 (see end of this post for error logs from IBM TWS)
We made sure TWS has the latest psjoa.jar from PS 8.53.  that jar file is needed by TWS and used by the psagent to connect to PROCESSREQUEST CI and schedule needed jobs.  Does anyone outhere know of a solution or workaround to enable IBM TWS to work with PT 8.53?  thanks!

We have already tried checking the jar version and it is what we are expecting it to be. 8.53.02.  We have been working with Oracle support and below is one for their feedback and suggestion.  we are working on implementing the work around but no success yet.  Will keep you posted!
I am not surprise to hear that a third party software is NOT certified to run with PT 8.53 if they use CI java API. Main reason is PT 8.53 start to required JRE 1.7, PT 8.50-8.52 required JRE 1.6. So if a third party is still running on JRE 1.6, but not yet upgrade to JRE 1.7, then they would NOT be certified with PT 8.53. I guess that's probably why IBM said their TWS product does not support PT 8.53
If a third party can not upgrade their JRE, they won't be able to use the new psjoa.jar provided in PT 8.53, as that has been re-compiled for JRE 1.7. And they also can not use an old psjoa.jar from old tools, otherwise, will get the error as reported here.
There is a possible workaround for this, to let an old tools psjoa.jar be able to connect to the new tools release, for more details, please see below
PLEASE NOTE: the below workaround is provided AS IS, GSC does not support on any later issue raised by using an old version of psjoa.jar connecting to a new release of tools. So your 3rd party should upgrade their java to the certified java 7 release by PT 8.53. Also, note that there are other considerations, and the workaround will not work for some PeopleTools release combinations.
As a temporary workaround, you may try the following (example is shown for a scenario in which 3rd party application uses Java 6, and is trying to connect to a PeopleTools 8.53 system which requires Java 7):
Use the "old" working version of psjoa.jar (e.g. from PT 8.51 and above) from your 3rd party program that uses java 6
Make a copy of pstools.properties file from the PIA installation subdirectory. The location on pre-PT 8.50 would be %PEOPLE_TOOLS_HOME%\webserv\%PIA_DOMAIN%\applications\peoplesoft\PORTAL\WEB-INF\psftdocs\ps. On pt 8.50 and later it is under PS_HOME (for example, %PEOPLE_TOOLS_HOME%\webserv\%PIA_DOMAIN%\applications\peoplesoft\PORTAL.war\WEB-INF\psftdocs\ps). Put the properties file in the correct directory so the 3rd party application will find it in its CLASSPATH.
NOTE: The location that pstools.properties is placed is important, and the location it needs to be placed in depends on the type of Java application, e.g. console program or web application, etc. You will likely need to test different locations to ensure it is being picked up by the 3rd party application at runtime.
Below the last line in the pstools.properties file add a new line with the exact PeopleTools release the application server is on. Below is a sample for pt 8.53.03.
