IBook and garageband
Ok, I just got the Griffin guitar cable for my guitar and bass (Ibanez NDM1 and Ibanez GSR200) and I am using a iBook 1.42GHz 14.1" summer 2005 model. At first I plugged my guitar right into the jack on my computer and I have no sound and my iBook isnt picking it up. What should I do?
That's a headphone jack, iBooks don't have a Line in.

I have an Ipad My apple ID and password works for Ibooks and Icloud but when I try to get into the app store it doesn't show my entire email address on the account. Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap the Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign in with the Apple ID of your choosing.

I am trying to connect Garritan Personal Symphony to Logic Express and Garageband. A dialog box pops up and asks for plugin Garritan-P. Where do I find it and what do I do with it. I can't locate this plugin doing searches on any of the porgrams.

I am trying to open iBook on my iPhone 5s with iOS 8.2, when it opens I have a white screen for a few minutes, then iBook closes. I have tried restarting iBook, and the phone, but it still happens, any suggestions?

Some images won't load in Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store
Since my upgrade to Mavericks, some images on Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store wont load some times. I can't figure out the source of problem, but I've tested all four apps and the same problem exists across all of them; I've also tested Chrome, Firefox and Opera to see if they are suffering from the same problem, and surprisingly enough I've found that they are not; They load images perfectly well, and I've never encountered one to not load images. I'm totally confused and frustrated, what is preventing Apple products to load images? Here are some screenshots:
Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items. Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History and Web Site Data. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site.

How do I remove an unwanted toolbar? I added a radio station to my ibook and it set up its own toolbar so when I go to Safari I have to use it. It involves using Bing for everything as well. It's very annoying and I want to remove it. I can't just type in a URL and have it go to the site. It takes me to all of Bing's choices. Also, when it anticipates what I'm typing (incorrectly) and I have to delete it's guesses all the time. Can anyone help?
Have you looked at Safari's menu bar > view> toolbars to see if it can be unchecked from there,also see if there is a button to collapse the toolbar on the bar itself.

How can I control my ibook and pc from an iPhone/iPod 5 ?

I have recently bought an iPod 5th Generation and I'm very happy with it !! My question is.
I have an old laptop iBook and it is connected to a hard disk where I stock my music.... So basically, this old computer is my jukebox. The only problem is that the screen on the iBook doesnt work very well (I must press really strong alongside the mousepad in order to see something). So I was wondering if I could control and see (select music and more), from my iPod touch ? Should I absolutely need to have an Apple TV ?
Is there an APP so I could control my iBook from my Ipod ?
I also have another laptop (PC) and I was wonder if I could control everything from my ipod touch ? It could be really fun.

IPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand with multiple apple ID's.

First of all I want to excuse myself for my bad english. It's not my native language.
I've bought a Macbook Air 11" two weeks ago and I logged in the app store using an "old" apple ID. Now that I wanted to use a new apple ID to start "clean" I also decided to reinstall my macbook.
Once I tried to redownload iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand I got the message that those applications are "attached" to a other account. I still got that account, but I want to know if I can "remove" those apps on the "old" account and download them using my "new" account.
I don't want to keep two accounts because I logged in the first time with a other account. Is this possible?

SqSo the first time you log in with an apple id the apps are "attached" to that account without any notice? I can't even purchase them. Reinstalling my mac didn't give me back the applications either. I'm flabbergasted how the apple ID's work and that they can get away with this. Support must come from other users as I can't depend on Apple themselfs. Unbelievable...

trying to make an ibook and have 800 photos, want format of 8 photos/page, but default is not that- "create" the initial book from iphoto "album" it loads less than 800 pics and then when i change layout i have blanks.
if i clear the book so that it is all blanks and then try to load in the pictures i have it loses the chronology of the pictures that i had established in the album.
is there a way to import photos into an ibook template and keep the original order of the photos without having to do them one at a time?
also, is there a way to insert a photo rather than just dragging it? i have tried the cut and paste funciton but it doesn't seem to work, the target site doesn't seem to register with iphoto.
many thanks for your help.Photos are added to book in chronological order. So if you want to add them to a book in the order you have placed them manually in an album do the following:
1 - select all the photos in the album.
2 - use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option as shown here. Select any date and add 1 minute between photos.
3 - select just one photo from the album and create a book from it.
4 - in the book click on the Options button ➙ Book Settings button and make sure the checkbox for Auto-layout pages is unchecked.
5 - drag the album with your book photos onto the book icon and they will be imported into the Photos tray of the book in your pre-determined order but not into the pages themselves.

PDFs in iTunes not transferring to iPhone or iBooks and cannot be deleted
I have a few PDF files that I added to iTunes which show up in iTunes under books, but when I either click select all or select those specific books they WILL NOT sync to the actual iPhone. They also WILL NOT transfer to iBOOKS and even worse while they appear in the iTunes library as selectable for copying to devices there DOES NOT APPEAR to be any way to delete or find them.
HELP!!!
I am guessing that the problem has to do with these PDF files NOT being totally compatible with iTunes or iBooks and so they were uploadable, but once there they are stranded and unusable.
Does someone know:
1. How to find these files and delete them from iTunes
2. How to get them into a format that will actually work so I can read them on my phone and other Apple devices.
I am using an iPhone 6 plus with 8.1 and a Macbook Pro with the latest version of Yosemite. I believe that my iTunes and iBooks are also the latest versions.
Thanks.I have an update. When I convert the original PDF files using CALIBRE to EPUB format (the mac format). I am able to get the files to import directly (ie be added to library) of iBooks and then to iTunes and my phone. I think this confirms that the problem is likely to be one of file incompatibility. However, the file is NOT totally incompatible and so will show up in the part of iTunes where you are supposed to be able to click on it to add it to your device. The problem is that since its not completely compatible clicking on it WON'T allow it to transfer to your device. Fixing this either requires converting this PDF to another PDF format that is compatible, or better yet just convert it to EPUB which presumably will be MORE compatible and allow you to do more features in iBooks (such as resize the fonts etc).
I still have the problem of figuring out how to find and delete the original PDF files which are clearly not any good. I suppose we can go to the root finder level, but where should they be as I don't see them in the iTunes books library?

I updated the software without problems; then I tried to update iPhoto, iMovie and Garageband, but an error was displayed "You have updates available for other accounts". I don't have any other account, i tried everything found on the net but nothing seems to work...Please help me!!!!Same thing for me it writes "To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it."

So I preordered a book last night that was due to be released today, this morning I woke up very excited and eager to start reading it BUT when I tried to open it to start reading a message came up: 'Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing' after a while I tried it again but again the same message came up, I then tried to open some of my other books that I've already read and the same message came up? I've tried rebooting so please don't waste my time saying that!
Please help me!
p.s. I have an iPad mini, and I'm using iBooks and this has never happened before!

Headless g4, ibook and intel imac (2.33ghz) issue
Ok so I have a small network hooked up through an ethernet switch. I have my iMac running ARD 3.2 and it works perfectly with my ibook both through ethernet and airport. When I plug my headless g4 quicksilver into the ethernet swtich I get nothing. Even using a fixed IP address and searching for it on ARD wont allow me to connect and control it. I've tried attaching a VGA cable and the VGA to mini DV adapter to my ibook and using that as the G4's "monitor" and nothing still. When i boot from the g4 disk on my ibook, I cant see any of the SATA drives hooked up to the SATA card inside and i am at a complete loss of what to do. I really need to be able to access those hard drives and do not have a monitor with which to set up the g4 tower. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That won't work. The video port on your iBook is output only, for using an external monitor with the iBook. You cannot use that port to use the iBook's screen with another computer.

I presume you mean via Firewire Target Disk Mode? If so, that won't work with drives connected to an any PCI card. Target Disk Mode on a G4 will only show the primary ATA hard drive connected to the motherboard's ATA bus.
As to ARD, I presume that you are certain that the ARD client on the G4 is active and appropriately set up? If so, I've read reports of difficulties observing and controlling some systems when they don't have a monitor connected, at least to get things set up and working. So it's quite possible that you'll need to borrow a monitor for the G4, at least temporarily, to get everything set up and working, particularly if you haven't or aren't certain you have set up the ARD client.
