IBook app shows "loading" nothing happens

Hi, I downloaded iBook app last night. The icon is on home screen and is showing "loading" with blue bar on the bottom. When I click it, nothing happened. When I try to delete it so that I can reinstall, it doesn't give me x mark!
I really appreciate any help as I'm a newie in Mac world.

Thank you so much! You are an angel! So Power button is sleep/awake button? I don't have my iPad now but I checked the manual online and there is no "power button" so I assume it's sleep/awake one.
I'll try it when I get home.

It appears to have been due to a broken connection from a prior attempt to download earlier today.
Can this be reset, cleared from history??.

Its a 5.3 GB file. It might takle a while to download.
When done, it may open automatically, but the file will be in your apps folder

When I click on my apps in itunes nothing happens. They won't open.

I need to use the "find my phone' app in itunes but when I click on it in the apps folder absolutely nothing happens. It's like I'm clicking on a picture. It will highlight but nothing else. What am I doing wrong?

the apps in itunes are you ipod or iphone or ipad apps...those do not work in itunes or your computer. only on your device. if you need to use findmyiphone go to icloud.com and sign in

So your Mac is running v10.7.3 or later? Just making sure. Your profile indicates the iOS 5.1.1 ...
If you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
Make sure there's enough free space on the startup disk since the app is 15.51GB.
Click your Apple menu icon. From the drop down menu click About This Mac then select Storage from the menu.
Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

Process chain hangs on Yellow , no process no data load, nothing happens...

I have a problem on one of our Meta chain . We have a meta chain , and it have some sub chains . It is a daily scheduled meta chain.
One day some thing happened and one of the sub chain begun to hang on . One of the sub chain of meta Chain I see Yellow light, which means on process . But while I enter into this sub chain I see nothing processed . Meta chain finish previous chain but besides nothing .
I tried to remove this sub chain from schedule , I tried to reactivate , and to schedule again , but all of my attems didn't solve anything . All of them get an short dump because of maximum time
I need your helps .

I guess u already got so many solutions and none of them working try these out.....
1.Try activating the chain ...is there some issue in that??
2.Now go to the top...menu..execution tab...remove from schedule...Now schedule again...
3.If you want to run the chain immediately...after doing remove from schedule go to the start variant and change the option as start immediately.
Since the chain is not triggering ,moving forward after start variant then may be the load on the system is too much or else the chain has activation issues...

App shows "loading" but it hanged and cant be opened nor removed

I have this app "Leme Cam" which is bigger than 20MB and requires updating through wifi or computer. While I was updating other smaller apps using the iphone directly, the phone tried to update this app as well and it hanged with the wording "loading". I tried to update it through itunes on my com but it could not be updated nor removed. Anyone kind soul out there can advice me on what to do? Thanks alot!

Might be necessary to restore your iPhone at this point but restore as new, not from a backup.
Connect your iPhone to your computer. Launch iTunes. Select the Summary tab. Make sure there's enough storage space.
Try this ... Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings. Restart the iPhone, then try syncing that app again.

I tap the screen in the app store but nothing happens

Thank you..... while I was waiting for the answer it started working again, which is good, but this happens periodically. Ugh, you'd think a $500 tablet (Wi-Fi only) wouldn't do this but it does. This is only one issue that sometimes has me feeling I hadn't spent the money on it. But, again, thank you, rbrylawski! I'll keep it in mind when it happens again, which it will!

Why does my ibooks app show the remaining pages in the book instead of the remaining pages of the chapter?

The book that I'm currently reading always showed the remaining pages in the chapter. But as of this morning, the "... pages left" item on the down right side of my screen doesn't show the remaining pages in the chapter anymore, but the remaining pages of the book.
Was there a setting I accidentally changed? Because I can't remember changing anything. Anyone knows how this behaviour is triggered? And more important, how it can be changed back.

Not positive here but it almost sounds like your sign in was up and your wife used the computer and clicked on different sites that showed up on your sign in, Truth be told it was an accident that both you and her were unaware of. This is the reason that we have one sign in that we both use and when it gets cluttered I simply create a folder and put her stuff in it that way it isn't in my way.

If you have OS X 10.6.8 as you state you can not get iphoto form the App store - you must have Yosemite OS X 10.10. installed to download iphoto 9.6 from the App store
If Nothing happens then you need to contact App store support - link is on the right of the App store window
