IBook G3(Dual usb) Start up problem (Please Help asap....)

Like I have Write it on the title i have problem with my old ibook g3
It was working cool... so after one day when i try to turn it on.. It doesn't work... It make ''The startup sound'' after that only black screen .. sometimes it show a ''question mark'' on apple face and a apple icon
I have try different methodes but it doesn't work..
I have reset with PMU but still not work..
Please Tell me what do i have to do to fix it ..

You don't remember what version of the OS is installed on it?
If it has Mac OS X 10.2 or later, you could try starting up in Safe Mode. If this works, it will take quite awhile longer than a normal startup because it does a file check and repair of the hard disk.
Note: If the OS is earlier than Mac OS X 10.2, a Safe Boot is not an option. That is why I asked which version of the OS is installed.
If a Safe Boot into Safe Mode works you will see your normal desktop. Once completely started up in Safe Mode, try to restart normally, and go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Click on the top hard drive icon in the left sidebar and note the S.M.A.R.T. status at the bottom right of the pane. What does it say?
Select the named boot volume in the left sidebar, ("Macintosh HD" unless you've renamed it). What is the hard drive capacity and how much space remains available on it? Repair permissions on it.
See if you are able to do a little hard drive maintenance to help things out.
Do you have access to another Mac with FireWire? If so, you could try starting up In _FireWire Target Disk Mode_ with the iBook as the target disk. If this works, it will act like an external hard drive to the other (host) computer and will enable you to retrieve data from the iBook and save it to the hard drive of the other (host) computer.
Without the system discs or knowing what version of the OS is installed, we are a bit stymied in helping you out. If a Safe Boot and/or resetting the PMU doesn't help, then you are going to have to take it in for repairs. (Please note: paying for repairs may cost more than the iBook is worth.)

Replace your hard drive. A retail hdd can be used, just be sure to get one with at least as large a capacity as original in order to use HP Recovery Discs to install Windows. For instance if you have a 320gb a 500gb could be used but not a 250gb.

MSI GE70 2OE-029CZ Start-up problems, please help

Hello guys. My name is Mike and I need some help from you. Half year back I bought notebook MSI GE70 2OE-029CZ from Czech Republic and it wont boot up now. I used this notebook normally without problems until now. Four days back I finished my work and turned notebook off. Next day, after I came back home, I turned notebook on and suddenly it turned off after 4 seconds. It showed only MSI logo, I did not get in to bootloader. Then I turned it on again and same thing happened again. Except it was running only 1-2 seconds. After this notebook did not start up again. I have checked power supply with voltmeter and got suitable voltage. I did let the battery to discharge little over night and in the morning I tried to put it on charger. The battery diode lighted up. But still could not start it up. I already filled out MSI Service webform yesterday, but still did not get any response. Im just posting it here if someone of you has some idea i could try. Also does anyone got any idea why are mine audio jacks not golden? They are just black. I supposed they had to be golden plated. Sorry for my bad grammar, I am not born English speaker . Thank you for you help and time.

I am sorry you experience this problem and probably I would be frustrated if such a thing would happen to me.
Sorry if I dis-read something, but have you tried turning the laptop ON without the battery just with charger? And other way around (with FULL battery but no charger)?
About HDD: you can take it out, but would be BEST if you make backup somewhere once you take it out and send it TOGETHER with the laptop, as the problem might be somewhere with the wires.

Logic start up problems please help

Recently every time for no apparent reason at all when Logic 7.1.1 launches I seem to always get a Error code saying 'Error Code 1 was returned by Coreaudio.
I have downloaded the latest RME drivers for my Multiface version 1 but still i get the same problem.
I must say that once I click on the error continue button Logic opens as normal and I can proceed to have a good session with out any crashes.
I have also reinstalled logic a few times and trashed my prefs and caches but it still doesn't seem to matter.
if anyone can help please as I find it as very annoying

Ok so I built this website in Macromedia Flash 8 and it looks
great when I preview it but now that I am uploading it to my
geocities pro account its not loading anything. Well let me
rephrase that ... the index isn't loading anything at all. I click

I checked it out and its working fine for me. the only thing
i can think of why it would do that for you and not me is that you
drivers might be screwed up, and thats why in works in flash
becuase it runs it from the built in driver but if you try to run
it through the flash player or whatever player its using it having
issues...

Why does my ipod touch 5 when out of battery, and when i turned it to sleep, i kept going from 20% less to above 20% what is going on?

The battery indication is a "GUESS" on the part of the software. Lithium Ion batteries do not give any outside indication of how much power they have left. They show a constant current and voltage until they are almost empty and then the current and voltage falls off a cliff. The software measures the amount of current used "So Far", and the rate that the device is using the current to GUESS how much life if left in the battery based based on how hard you are currently using the battery.
When you idle it down, the current draw is less, so the time till the battery runs out of energy will be longer, so the software GUESSES you have more battery life left than it did when you were draining it heavily.
GUESSING battery life is extremely complex, full of errors and ways it can get tripped up. About the only thing you can be sure of is when it if fully charged and when it is dead. Everything in between is a GUESS!

Encoding problem please help ASAP!!!

So i am doing a project for school (been working on it for weeks) and i finally finished it and when i try to export it, its all messed up. I dont get an error of any kind but i get a media offline screen everywhere there is supposed to be video (.mp4) im currently using CC 2014..... I also tried exporting to media encoder and still no luck.

You have to do two things:
1. set the stylesheet encoding to japanease/unicode
2. Save the file with the same encoding using xml editor that support file saving with non-ascii charset. I think xmlspy support this.

I have a Ibook g3 Dual usb 800Mhz 256MB 30GB and I put Mac OS X 10.2 on there and the screen is really small its running at 640/480 and i tired making it 1024/768 but the option is not there. Do I need drivers or something or do i need a update. I dont know anything about a apple computer im a windows user and I am thinking on changing over and was going to try out this ibook and it had no OS so I looked it up and it said came with Mac os x 10.2 so I put that on there and you know the rest.

Make sure you get the full retail version (black disc) and not a system-specific (gray disc) set.
If you decide on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), you are likely going to have to maximize the RAM because 256 MB is the bare minimum, and it will be slow.
I stuck with Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) for my iBook G3 800 MHz and bought an iBook G4 when I wanted to upgrade to Tiger.

Restart with the Option key held down and see if the internal drive appears.
If it does, click on it, press Enter, and then change the setting in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences or the Startup Disk control panel.
If it doesn't, insert a Mac OS install CD or DVD and use the Disk Utility or Disk First Aid to repair the internal drive. If there aren't any problems, install an OS onto it.

IBook G3 Dual USB Not Finding Server With Wireless Internet

I have an iBook G3 Dual USB that has been working fine, then all of a sudden we could no longer get web sites to come up. It keeps saying server not found. I am using a Linksy wireless router and have cable internet.
I also have a desktop Mac that can still get on the net ok. It is plugged into the router by hardline. I unplugged the ethernet cable from the desktop Mac and plugged it into the iBook and still can not get online.
Anyone have any suggestions why I can no longer get on the net? We have not changed any settings. One minute it was fine, the next nothing.
When I go into AirPort, it is showing a strong signal.
Any ideas?

When I replied to your latest post you had indicated that you were still having problems getting on the Internet through a hard line. I see that that has changed.
Given the new data I think you are on the right path. If you zapped your PRAM and everthing is fine then disregard the rest of this message.
If things still don't work right...
New suggestion. Check the router and be sure the antennaes are secured to the back of the router and visually check them for signs of damage. If all looks good then cycle the router (if you have not done so already) and see if that helps. Its a long shot, but its worth a try.
If you are still having problems then taking the iBook to work and seeing if you can gain access to the Internet through your wireless network is a good idea (as long as the network is open). If you can get on-line then the router at home is suspect. If not then the card is suspect.
One last suggestion for the Mac. If you can, use another Airport card in your iBook. If you can get on-line with a different card then you know there is a problem with the other card and not the router. If you are still have problems getting on-line with a differemt card then getting another router may solve the issue.

IBook G3 Dual USB Line In Screen

I have a white iBook G3 Dual USB, OS 10.3.9, 320 Megs of Ram. Recently a vertical line showed up in the middle of the screen and it won't go away. It has been running fine. Anyone have any ideas or suggestion as to what may be causing this, do I need to worry? The only thing I have added is an internal CD burner/DVD player, which has been working ok. This is a used machine.

Is it a hard line, running vertically? like one pixel wide?
What does it mean that the line is there?
The display array driver on the iBook LCD is attached at the top. Sometimes it will detach from impact, heat or age. This will cause one or more line(s) to go bad. Sometimes you can make it go away by flexing the display but I have never been able to fix this problem (I have made it worse). Only changing the display.

Old PowerBook 1400 charger power iBook G3 Dual USB?

I ordered an iBook G3 Dual USB (the white one, not the clamshell iBook) but I only have a 45W PowerBook 1400 power adapter. Will this power the 500MHz system?

It would, except the adapter tip won't fit in the power socket of the iBook. You will need a newer adapter with a smaller tip to fit the iBook G3 (Dual USB).

It doesn't matter whether it's a 45 or 65 watt adapter; either will work. (The 65 watt is needed for newer PowerBooks. It won't hurt an iBook to use a 65 watt adapter with it, even though they originally came with a 45 watt model.)
