IBook G3-Reinstall Tiger-Can't Find Driver

I have an old G3 (500MHZ) running Tiger and had the hard drive fail. I replaced the hard drive and couldn't find my Tiger disk (think I donated it with a desktop G4 several years ago). Therefore, I loaded in Panther and it works fine accept I'd like to get back to Tiger.
I acquired another Tiger starup disk set (2 disks). When I try to go through the install process, the machine restarts on Disk1 and then freezes with the error message: "Unable to find driver for this platform: Powerbook 4,1." Were there different startup disks for desktops than portables with Tiger (perhaps I have a desktop startup pair)? Is there a source where I can download the required driver?
Help will be greatly appreciated.

Can't find driver for SB0

Hello,
I have an Audigy card (SB0230), and I can't find a driver for it. I tried few solutions, and here are what I done already:
- I tried to install the newest driver from creative.com for Audigy board, but installer don't recognized my card and stopped.
- I installed KX Audio driver. Everything went ok, installer recognized my card and I had sound, but I bought this card not only for music, but for games too, so lack of EAX led me to uninstall this driver.
- I tried from the other side with the official driver. I unpacked it with WinRAR, installed it from Device Manager. It told me that this driver is not compatible with my device, but I ignored it and after restart I heard sound Unfortunetly, as for now I don't have any control over the card. Even Realtek has a control panel, so I figured out, that I must run installer to do something with my card, than just set volume :P Am I right? Where can I find driver for it's
I have Windows Vista, but in XP everything was the same (and I used KX in XP).

Thanks to the folks at Kepware. I was able to get this working for CompactLogix L32E.
Step 1: In NI OPC Server Create a new Channel. Channel Name can be whatever you want.
Step 2: Device driver will be ControlLogix Ethernet. You can also enable diagnostics if you want.
Step 3: Network adapter. I used default setting.
Step 4: Write only latest values. Duty at 10. ( These are default settings and are recommended.)
Step 5: Finish new Channel setup
Step 6: Click on Icon to create new device
Step 7: Device Name can be whatever you chose.
Step 8: Select Device Model in this case CompactLogix 5300
Step 9: Device ID For me was IP Address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX,1,0 (Note the 1 directs path to backplane. The 0 to the slot where processor is)
Step 9: Device timing. Leave at defaults.
Step 10: Auto demotion leave unchecked.
Step 11: Leave at defaults Do not generate on startup Delete on create and allow subgroups
Step 12: Port and watchdogs at default settings
Step 13: Project options leave at default. (In my case I changed to short as that is what most of my tags were)
Step 14: Create tagname from device.
Step 14: Finish Device setup.
You now have two options.
Option 1: Start creating tags as you need them. (This is what I did)
Option 2: Right Click newly created device and select properities. Then select database creation and click auto create.
Go To Lookout and create new driver.
Select OPC Client
Server name will be from dropdown menu. National Instruments:NIOPCServers
Click okay
You should be done and smiling.

10.5.5 update hangs panic msg. can not find driver for 7,2,5 system dualG5

Down loaded 10.5.5 and ran it, loaded software and rebooted on G5 Dual 2Ghz system.
10.5.4 worked no problem.
Got back panic saying can not find driver for platform 7,2,5
Anybody know how to back this update back to 10.5.4?
or fix this to get 10.5.5 working.

I am experiencing something very similar. After downloading the update, it closes all app's and attempts to install. I've been looking at a stalled progress bar for 30 minutes.... No error messages yet, but my prospects don't look good. Any advice?

I reinstalled window but I can't find Drives

My system crashed recently, so I reinstalled Window yesterday.
But I cant find Drives CD for it.
I download some drives from Toshiba website, but they did not work.
My laptop is Portege Z835-P370.
I basically need at least Wifi Drives, vidio card Drives and keyboard Function Utility Drievs.
So I need a solution to my situation.
Actually, I tryed every Dirve provided on the website, but not work at all.
And the system is Windows7 64 bit.
Laptop language is English and Windows' language is english.
NEED HELP!!!!!

Best to restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media. All the drivers and utilities are properly preinstalled. Windows is preactivated.
If you failed to burn recovery discs, you can obtain them from Toshiba.

NI USB-8473 Windows can not find Driver

After I install my CAN Software 2.6.1 and connect my USB device, Windows starts the Hardware Wizard but, can not find the Drivers for this device. I started out with 2.4 and uninstalled and reinstalled it which did not help and then I upgraded to 2.6.1. This did not seem to help either. My impression is that this is something to do with Windows or the computer, but I thought I would ask if anyone has seen this problem before in case it is a hardware or software issue.

Thank you for your post. The NI-CAN driver is an inf file titled nican.inf. Instead of automatically detected the driver in the Found New Hardware Wizard, try browsing to the nican.inf file. This file is found in the following directory: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-CAN\staging.
If this doesn't work, I would run the Microsoft Windows cleanup utility linked below and remove all NI-CAN registries from your system and then reinstall the driver once again.

Can't find driver for printer

I have an HP PSC 750 connected to an airport express base station. It shows up in the printer browser when I click the add printer button (it says Bonjour under the connection type). However, under the 'print using' drop menu it won't auto select a driver and I've tried several HP drivers that were in the list and they did not work correctly (I just got pages of random letters and numbers when I tried to print). So I installed the software from the HP website and if I connect the printer directly to the computer this works fine. However, not with airport express - the HP setup assistant has a thing that searches for the printer and it can find it when connected directly to the computer (USB) but it can't find it on airport (it has a TCP/IP option for typing in the network address of the printer but I'm not sure what that would be or if thats even applicable to this case). So I guess my question is: Can I even use this software with the printer on airport or do I need to do something else?

henry, i've noticed you've solved several users' problems printing over airport. i'm hoping you can solve mine: i have a g5 imac running os v10.4.2 which cannot seem to print via airport express' usb to an hp color laserjet 2600n. when i run printer setup utility there is no driver selectable for the 2600n (however there is when it's connected directly to the imac via usb). when i select a generic hp color laserjet driver, the 2600n shows up via bonjour in my print dialog box, but nothing ever prints. meanwhile, my g4 powerbook running v10.3.9 can print to the 2600n over airport with no problems (and its printer setup sees a driver for the 2600n via rendezvous). i've contacted hp support and they've deemed it an airport issue. any clues? thanks!

IPhoto 6: can't find drives

I'm using iPhoto 6.0.6 on my Macbook Pro with 10.4.11. I have a few files that are on separate hard drives. The problem is that if I don't have those drives hooked up, iPhoto can't find the files, and it hangs the whole program. I do see a dialog box with "find files" and "cancel" but I just get the evil color pinwheel and can't select anything, or even quit.
Is there any way to have it just skip missing files? What should I do?

1) I don't like to copy all of the files to my iPhoto Library because it would quickly fill up my local drive.
So put the Library on the external drive.
2) I use iPhoto as a catalog for a lot of stuff on my computer - videos as well as images. As drives fill up I add new ones. Many of those files are quite old and I'll probably never look at them again, but it's annoying to have to find an old drive and hook it up just so iPhoto doesn't hang.
Having Managed Libraries on each drive will sort that out... or a couple of large drives.
But what won't work is what you're doing...

Yoga 2 11 Need to reinstall Windows, can't find how

Hi folks. I bought a Yoga 2 11 for my son at Christmas and of course he managed to download a really nasty bug in a Minecraft map file he loaded when I wasn't around. I can't get this thing cleaned so I thought I should just reinstall Windows since he hasn't had it long and we don't have much to backup/reload. I can't find a darn thing in Support for a Yoga 2 11 and didn't see my Windows license code anywhere. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to do this?

I moved your post from the Windows Tablets board to this forum. First, let's verify: you're talking about a Yoga 2 11 laptop, not a tablet?
You should be able to power on using the Novo button and run a OneKey reset to factory state. The User Guide (Windows 8.1) – Lenovo Yoga 2 11 will help. Check page 25.

Can not find drive A

I have a Satellite A505-S3980,I tried copying some pics to a disc using the soft ware that came with my camera (sony A200).Ayway when i tried copying some pics,the computer can not find the drive and at one point it said that there is an error (error 39) and corrupt driver. I did not even know about this problem until i tried to copy some pics to a disc.I need some help,anybody out there know what i can do to solve this? Thank you.

it sounds like you are trying to put pics on a cd/dvd? if the drive isnt showing up in device manager or has an exclamation over it try this. support.microsoft.com/gp/cd_dvd_drive_problems

HP DeskJet 9650 Can't Find Driver

It had been working. Printing in color and doing exactly what it was suppose to do. It decided not to print in color. Went in and found out that it was using the driver for a hp laserjet printer. Can't find the driver for the hp9650 even though I installed in on the computer from the disc itself. HELP.

Right now I am able to print in black with my HP Deskjet 9650 with the driver set as HP LaserJet 1010 - Gutenprint v.5.2.3. If I change it to another HP driver such as 970C -Gutenprint v. 5.2.3 it will print in color a tiny part of the page in color as if you had double vision. There are two tiny parts of the page side by side.
Even went to HP and downloaded the latest version of the driver for my printer. What is confusing me is that even after downloading the latest version of the driver, I am not seeing it listed under the section where the drivers are listed. Seeing everybody else (HP included) just not HP DeskJet 9650. At this point I would take 9600.
I really do appreciate all of you suggestions.
Just switched back to Mac after using Windows for years. Been a great experience except for this. Wondering if I should go back to the OS that came with my Mac? Printer was clicking along in color before updating to OS X.

Does anybody know what the phrase can't find driver mean?

I have a PowerMac 4,2 and it won't start up for me It goes to a black and white screen and has the words panic,and unable to find driver

It means you have likely installed something for Intel Macs that runs at startup that won't work with that Mac. If you moved a hard drive with Mac OS X 10.6 or later on it to the Powermac, that would cause such a problem. If you connected a hard drive with 10.6 or later on it on it that was running Target Disk Mode (booting the Intel machine holding the T key) to it, that would cause such a problem. If you attempted to install 10.4.4 or later system specific disc on a hard drive that was designed for an Intel Mac, and moved it to that machine, that would cause such a problem. If you attempted to install a GUID formatted partition hard drive as opposed to Apple partition map on the machine, that could cause such a problem.

Try starting up your Mac while holding down the Option key. That should prompt the Startup Manager window where you can select the startup disk then click Restart.
The question mark folder indicates your Mac cannot find a system folder to boot from.

Can't find driver for Scanjet G2410 on OS 10.7

Hello.
I have just bought a Scanjet G2410.
When I first ran the installation CD, the instalation compleete with the following message:
"L’extension système «/System/Library/Extensions/hpPlugInInit.kext » n’a pas été installé correctement et ne peut être utilisé. Essayez de le réinstaller ou adressez-vous à votre revendeur pour une mise à jour"
And when I tried to scan something I got the message:
"Scanner could not be initialised, scanner not found"
So I tried to uninstall and reinstall the appropriate drivers,
But I cannot find a driver for my 10.7 version on Mac OS.
There are only drivers for 10.5 or 10.9.
Can you help me please ?

Follow the steps below and let me know if that helps:
Step one: Remove existing HP Scanjet software
1.Go to the Dock, click the Applications folder, and then click the Hewlett-Packard folder.
2.Click the HP Uninstaller icon.
3.Click Continue.
4.Select your scanner model and click Uninstall .
5.Click OK to complete the uninstall process.
Step two: Repair the disc permissions to avoid any possible conflicts
1. Open the the Applications folder.
2. Go to the Utilities folder.
3. Double-click on Disk Utility.
4. Select the hard drive containing the boot volume.
5. Go to the First Aid tab and select Repair Disk Permissions.
Note: This process may take several minutes depending on the Mac and amount of permissions that need to be repaired. The Progress Log will indicate when the process has been completed.
Step three: Install HP full feature software for OS X 10.6 (Snow leopard)
Download and install the latest software for OS X 10.6 from the following link:
