IBook G4 - 10.4.11 won't find my new iPad
Hi
Hope you can help. Just purchased a shiny new iPad today, and I can't get it to even start, as I can't link to iTunes, as my creaking old iBook isn't on 10.5.
I really don't want to update my software, as the iBook is on it's last legs.
How can I get my iPad started?

Unfortunately, KirstyS, the requirements for the ipad state:
+Mac computer with USB 2.0 port+
+*Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later*+
+iTunes 9.1 or later (free download from www.itunes.com/download)+
+iTunes Store account+
+Internet access+
So you can't connect to your iBook. I think you may even have USB 1 on that computer, depending on which model, so it's possibly not only a question of needing an OS X update.

I have same results. I have an ipad mini and it will not pair with my apple keyboard. I bought a mini keyboard with bluetooth 3.0 and it will not pair either. Is my ipad defective? Or do i need a keyboard with bluetooth 4.0? Also - the mini keypad will pair with my ipad2 and my iphone 4. Only difference I can find is the ipad mini has bluetooth 4.0. Seems it should be downward compatible but maybe not.. I am not a blutooth expert!

Movie in iTunes won't transfer to new iPad
I downloaded a couple of new movies in Itunes on my computer and then I tried to transfer to my new ipad and it won't transfer, it attempts to transfer to IPAD, however it doesn't some error message pops up, I didn't write it down I was wondering if anybody else has been getting this and what to do about it. By the way I have enough memory for the movie and I know that I could just have transferred it on the device itself.

Not sure, did you hold down the home button? That's how to get Siri to pop up? And your lucky, iOS 6 won't even install on my iPad 3, any suggestions?

IBooks crashes on install with unkown error an brand new iPad 2
Dear Apple please help me spend more money with you by getting iBooks installed :)
When I tap install on iBooks the iBooks icon appears, and it seems to start downloading, but only for a few seconds, then a popup appears saying helpful like ' unknown error occurred', and the icon goes away, and iBooks is not installed.
I was able to install other apps on my new iPad just fine, and I installed lots of apps including iBooks in an iPad 2 in the office.
I rebooted the iPad, but I did not reset it yet - the only thing I could think off, is that the apple I'd I am using does not have a credit card on file just a gift card, but that should not cause one free app to crash upon download and not others
Anybody else having this problem ?
One of the key reasons we got an iPad for home, is to susbscribe to international magazines on iBooks -I also received my new iPad 2 today and experienced the same issue
The first thing I did was sync the iPad with iTunes and restored from my iPhone. I'm wondering if that was part of the issue since I couldn't install iBooks on my iPhone either. Both devices were up to date with iOS 4.3.3.
I was getting the same "Unknown error occurred" message on both devices.
I tried what has worked for many - but rebooting the devices did not help.
What did work was downloading the app within iTunes on my Mac and then syncing the devices. This worked for both my iPhone and iPad! Yay!
I give credit to @the_paulus for helping me out and hope this helps anyone else facing this issue. -
C3-01 loses signal and won't find a new one??
The reception on this phone is dire. I can be in a group of friends, all on the same network, and I am the only one who loses a signal.
Not only that, but if I travel to where I should be able to get one...it will not detect it. The only way to get a signal back is the take the battery out and re-insert it. I spent the weekend with no phone, and even driving 50 miles home I had no signal and then only got one by getting the battery out.
This is the third time that this has happened.
I am seriously considering throwing this brand new phone away, the software has not been tested properly, someone has released this knowing it was full of bugs. I could list all sorts of faults with the OS, it simply is not good enough. My old Sony Eriksson is perfect, and I may well have to dig it out again. Nokia are having a laugh at my expense with this.This same problem has happened to me, repeatedly since I got my phone...no problema with the old LG.....same sim card....anyone help?
I have update the OS to the most recent. I can be in a full bar area, and have no bars. If I turn off, wait 20 seconds then turn on again, full bars - **bleep**? -
I transferred everything from an old iPad to a new one via iCloud. Why won't music or videos play? I don't even get thumbnails for the songs/videos, and they can't be clicked, even though everything from the old one shows up on the new one.
Is there a step I'm missing here?Have you considered wiping the iPad and starting all over again? Do you have more than one backup in iCloud!? If you do, it might be worth a shot restoring from another backup.
Perhaps that backup that you used was corrupt for whatever reason, so maybe you would have better success with another backup.
Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

Itunes cant find my new ipad mini.
I just got a new ipad mini and i followed the setup to the letter but when i connect it to my laptop itunes doesnt recognize it. Ive looked at hours of youtube videos and searched through dozens of google pages and still i cant seem to figure out how to make my itunes recognize my ipad mini. Can anyone help me please?

Adobe reader won't work on new ipad
Hello,
I have just purchased a new ipad and I have installed the free adobe reader from the apps store icon on the ipad screen. After I installed the adobe reader I loaded some pdf documents onto the ipad and it seemed to work just fine as I was able to open and read the pdf documents. The problem is that when I shut off the ipad and start it back up and then try to open the adobe reader up to access my pdf documents the only thing that happens is that the screen will flash once and that is it. The adobe reader will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the free adobe reader application 5 times and it is always the same thing. It will work normally after a fresh reinstall however, when I shut off the ipad and restart it then it will only flash once and not open anything.
I also bought the $5.00 PDF reader from the apps store in hopes that would fix the problem but it does the same thing. I have also updated my operating system and have installed the latest version of the adobe reader.
Has anyone seen or heard of this before? Any help would be appreciated.I am guessing that you have a corrupt PDF that is causing the issue - and not the apps, but that is just guess. If both apps crash on you and you have the same files in both apps ....

Keychain data won't load into new iPad Air. Contacts, Calendars, do
Currently I use an iCloud keychain on both a Yosemite iMac and a older iPad. After setting up a new iPad Air 2, using my iTunes restore, Calendars, contacts, bookmarks, everything works fine, but Keychain (Safari passwords & autofill) is empty. It doesn't ask another device for a code. Does't sync. Tried deleting back to new and restoring again, still no iCloud Keychain.
Safari websites on the new iPad ask if I want to save passwords to my iCloud Keychain , and do.... despite the fact that the items are in the original keychain, the one I cannot access.

If you are having an issue with syncing your new iPhone with the information that is in iCloiud (and on your other devices) we should make sure that iCloud is set up correctly on the iPhone. See this page for directions -

Previous audiobooks won't transfer to new ipad
Hi there, I had to replace my iPad Air yesterday at Apple, we checked to make sure it was all backed up to the cloud and found it was, however when I got home received a message of not all info transfered. What I found out was that all my audiobooks have a download error, tap tp retry. That however doesn't work, no response. When I go the iTunes store to "buy" the book again, thinking it would say you have already purchased this it says purchase now....ugh. I have an iPad Air 64 with the latest 8.1 upgrade. thanks for the help too
I've tried this. I have created a playlist with a single audiobook in it, it is checked, but it will not sync. It's not a space issue I have over 4g available and the book is less than 500mb.
It behaves as if it is syncing, says that is what it is doing on the phone and in itunes, but nothing actually copies.
I've also gone to the music tab and checked the audiobook folder. Again, nothing syncs.
