IBook G4 wont close!!! Please hellp Im just a new person at this forum
hello everyone
this is my first post as you can tell
i was so glad i found a link to the post topic!!!
well anyways...
i have a ibook g4 12" 1.33Ghz and i have a problem with my screen
well one of my friends were playing with my ibook when he dropped it and the screen opened in a line( like a 180 degree)
the screen works just fine but on the bottom screen of my ibook there is a huge gap bewteen the screen and the lcd panel/screen holder
and now i can't even close my ibook unless i practically sit on it
well not sit but push really hard
and when i do get a chance to close it the screen looks lopsided
well i bought this ibook in South Korea about 6 months ago
and i was wondering if i can get it fixed or fix it myself
and can you please estimate how much it would cost
p.s. i only have the ibook, ac adapter, battery, OS X tiger dvd install, ilife 05', and a mighty mouse
i still have the manual for the ibook and the OS X Tiger but i dont know how the warranty paper looks like
oh yeah... and my mighty mouse is wired and there seems to be a problem with the scrolling button. it wont scroll down sometimes and i also bought it 6 moths ago.
can i also exchange it too???
an estimated price would be perfect for suggestion.

Ouch, no idea about fixing that yourself. Do you have an Apple store within driving range? If you do, likely just take it there and tell them what happened.

Is it possible to just show new posts of selected forums?
Hi there,
is there a possibility to just show new posts of selected forums? At vbulletin forums you can do this via search.php?include=1,2,3 so I tried search.php?action=show_new&fid=20,30,33,47,42,24,50 here. But it only searches for the new posts of forum with the id 20 and ignores all the other parameters.. Any ideas? Did I overlook this function anywhere?

Question to the administration: Is it possible to implement this feature? As for now I can search each forum for new posts with search.php?action=show_new&fid=20 for example. So it shouldn't be that complex to implement a search with multiple forum IDs like search.php?action=show_new&fid=20,21,22,23?
Would be really great..
To the suggestion with "New" threads or new posts in threads (search.php?action=show_new): It's a lot to search through and I don't want to spend too much time for it

Old versions have a down arrow next to the front and back buttons to show all the pages you have visiteed and can return to but the new version does not have this feature
( Windows) right click the arrows and the listing will appear. The change may well be documented somewhere but if so I do not recall where. Presumably other OS such as Mac's will also have the feature using some other shortcut.

Hi, I've been given an Ipod Touch 2nd Generation for Christmas and want to download a few games but the ones I want say I need to update software to ios 4.3. Is this possible to do on this ipod?
No, a 2nd Gen iPod can only go up to iOS4.2.1

Wont close properly after using google & wont open again without using taskmanager
after the last firefox update if I use google a few times firefox doesnt close properly & wont restart unless I either reboot the machine or go into taskmanager & close it down there. It then re-opens correctly but with the last google pages displayed (even if they've been closed down before I attempted to close firefox)
I'm not the only person with this problem I know of at least one other.I have the same problem. If I open a google site, the browser no longer responds and the process must be stopped in task manager.
This problem occurs on all google websites. For example mail.google.com, google.com and reader.google.ch.

I have tried re installing Aperture 3 and I've looked for preferences or something to clear, but nothing helps. It continues to crash each time I open it no matter what. -
so my computer broke some how and now it wont even turn on i just want to know if i can still have all my old songs and such without buying it all over again or something so please help me oh also my ipod broke so i dont have anything that has my old songs except for the itunes ppl who know all of my songs
You buy one download and one download only, it is your responsibility to backup your music.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -

It entirely depends on your needs. The top players (AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, It's Playing, GoodPlayer) all have different strengths and weaknesses. Hi When you change your iPad, even if its off it will, turn on when you connect, to charger Check lightining port for any bits. Do a Reboot press &hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo This may help. Cheers Brian

I just Synced My iPhone 6 which had close to 2000 photos to a new computer (windows PC) and synced with iTunes.Now all my previous photos have been deleted which were there on my phone. Please suggest a way to recover those Photos . Thanks
P.S -I have not taken any backup of those photos. So please suggest any software or any other method.If those photos were part of the camera roll, they were part of the backup as well and you can restore from the latest backup you made on the old computer. After that transfer the photos to the new PC, follow this article: iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Then sync again to the new one, which will erase the phone again.
You can also try to copy the backup folder from the old computer to the new one and see if the old backups get recognized, check this article to find the location on your PC:
Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes
If the photos were not taken with the phone, your data is gone, photos you sync from iTunes to the phone are not included in the backup. -
Why isn't my last import saving? I can import the pictures from the memory card, but if I close out iPhoto the just "imported photos" are nowhere to be found. Please help
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .
