IBook + iPod color hate me right now

So, here's my situation at the moment:
I have never had a problem with my iPod until lately when it has been freaking out on me when i connect it to my iBook G4. I've got it configured to this computer to automatically update every time I plug it into the computer so I can keep it up to date with all my songs and such, but lately it has been telling me it can't update it. It's way weird because it IS updating it with all my songs and all my pictures, but I don't understand why it's giving me this stupid message. I have not tried to use any new software on it lately, I already made that mistake with the iPod to camera connector, and it told me that it hated me then too, but these are the exact words of iTunes when I plug my iPod into the computer:
The iPod "Marc's iPod" cannot be updated. The required file cannot be found.
This is way lame, I hope someone has some sort of answer, because it kind of worries me, like I deleted something off of the computer that I shouldn't have, even though I've never deleted anything really. Thank you to whoever can think of any answer.

My iBook, it's so hot right now. My iBook.

Ok. So.
About a month ago I upgraded my RAM to 1.25 MB. No prob. Runs great. My only concern is the tendency for my iBook to get really hot and the fan to come on. I thought it was too close to the heater in my room or something, so I moved it. Still having the issue, though. I have a menu bar temperature monitor, and my Processor Bottomside temp is sometimes as high as 148-150 F, whille my Power Supply/Memory peaks around 125-130 or so.
Basically, I wonder if there is anything aside from unplugging it for a while or making sure I keep the processor use as low as possible that I can do to help this. I know thye have those cooling fan dock/platform things, but I don't really know about that.

What are you doing when this happens? Lyssa asked one of the most important question,What applications do you usually have running when it gets this hot? Besides that, what activities might you be doing? The optical drive, constant writing to hard disk, USB/FireWire powered devices (iSight, external hard drive, etc) can cause your computer too heat up faster then expected (more often when plugged into AC adapter). You may want to unplug these devices and wait for your computer to cool down a bit. I am sure someone (I am pretty positive who it will be) is going to disagree with that statement because the computer was designed to handle such tasks. The iSight, external hard drives, etc, do not seem to generate as much heat (that we can tell) in other computers then in the iBook (and probably PBs). In the Apple's guide to iBook Care & Handleing; it says,
"When using your iBook or when charging the battery, it is normal for the bottom of the case to get warm. For prolonged use, place your iBook on a flat, stable surface. The bottom of the iBook case functions as a cooling surface that transfers heat from inside the computer to the cooler air outside. The bottom of the case is raised slightly to allow airflow that keeps the unit within normal operating temperatures. In addition, the computer vents warm air from the back of the case.
Warning: Do not place your iBook on a pillow or other soft material when it is on, as the material may block the airflow vents, in particular the rear vents, and cause the computer to overheat. Never place anything over your keyboard before closing the display. This can cause your computer to cycle on and off which may create excessive heat and drain your battery."
Have you tried going to System Preferences > Energy Saver and changing some of the settings? You might want to change the following:
Under Sleep
Change both Battery and Power Adapter to Better Battery Life (under Optimization)
Options
Check Reduce the brightness of the built-in display when using this power source
Check Automatically reduce the brightness of the display before display sleep
Change the Processor Performance to Reduced
Umm, I had plenty of ideas and suggestions, but I have forgotten.

My Ipod Touch is tripping right now! Help!

I have a 3rd gen Ipod Touch and for the past few days is has been very glitchy. The screen will randomly light up (not because of notifications) & then it will bring up control options as if I was just listening to music. Also, when I am in an app, the recently used apps will pop up at the bottom like I hit the home button twice and then it will kick me out of the app. I decided to restore the ipod. The problem WASN'T resolved and now the Apple Id Password box pops up every few seconds with a different random automatically inputed email address each time. I've tried restarting and restoring; I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?!

Hi nikipepsicola what maybe happens is that you have a lot of apps that causes the frozen screen , etc
Did you jail broke it cause it makes some staffs tha you don't want.
Some apps are created for recent generations that won't be able to use in other generations
Hope you can fix it

Hi everyone, I'm really at my wit's end here. I am a poor student, made even poorer with my purchase of an iMac in January to help me with my course. I was in love with the machine til March, when it started to switch itself off intermittently, a problem that has been widespread among mid 07 iMacs. Here's where the problems started...
I sent the machine away for repair, but only after spending about £20 of phone credit on the support line. My big problem is I don't have access to a land line. Anyway, the machine came back and all they'd done in the 2 weeks they had it, according to the work sheet, is change the power supply. Then 3 weeks later, the problems started again, only this time the machine started getting more noisy as well.
I put off sending it back again, because I needed the machine for my digital animation project, and the resetting problem would only occur very infrequently. Over the months the problems have become more prominent, and now I have finished my course I want to send it off for repair, but I refuse to have the same thing happen again, and that includes spending a fortune on the phone bill! So, I called Applecare earlier, and the conversation went:
ME: Before we start, can you call me back as I don't have access to a land line and already paid £100 for my warranty
THEM: I'm afraid we don't do outbound calls
ME: What? I want to speak to a supervisor please
THEM: (sighs) one second (HOLD MUSIC)
After about 2 minutes I put the phone down, I'm not holding for 5 minutes only to have the supervisor say the same thing.
So fellow Apple owners, what can I do? Can I email someone who has a bit of authority and beg/demand/seek sympathy? Or do I HAVE to call them, and hope someone will phone me back? Sorry it's a very long post but I just wanted to give you some background so you got a sense of the trouble I, and probably numerous others, have had. It might even make someone think twice about buying an Apple machine. I certainly hope so, because I'll definitely be selling mine after it's repaired, my love affair with Apple quickly turned sour.

I think I would be frustrated as well. Call Applecare and ask to speak to customer relations (not technical support). Explain your well documented problem to them and ask for warranty support (If it were me, I think I would request a replacement computer).

We have two Ipod Touches in the Home and two Ipads. Right now one of the Ipads has a separate user indentity. Can both Ipods be used to use the same library with different user ids's and different passwords.

But recently both os us have downloaded the Ibooks segment to our Ipads and now the only way to sync the second Ipad for Ibooks is to use the same used id and password. But the problem is that with our two Ipads in the home, we established two separate used ids and passwords one for each. Is there a way for me to still use the second Ipod touch and the second Ipad with completely separate userids and passwords. In other words to share the music library I have accumulated and yet to sign in each with our separate identities. That way the Ipads can sync and the Ipod touches can sync. Is this possible.

This is to avoid piracy. What could happen is, people could buy music, and give it away for free online. Usually it is then you buy a complete album off iTunes that it will only be available on one device. It is tied to that account, and the device must be registered to that account to listen to it.

Right now my ipod is set on 'music'. When I push the menu button, it will not go back to the main menu's, but I can still go to all the music and play it.

I tried resetting it by holding the menu and center buttons until the apple logo appeared, but the problem is still there.

If your battery level is low, recharge it first for at least 2 hours, preferably 4 hours.
After the Apple Logo, you release the buttons, what do you see on the iPod screen? (language selection?)

Right click on a movie(in iTunes), and click "get info" then go to album artwork and add the artwork that you want...

My iTunes operating files were somehow corrupted on my pc. Is there a way to download iTunes again, and yet preserve my playlists? II cannot open iTunes at all right now. My playlists are intact on my iPod. Thanks

Thanks for the question. I see you have uninstalled iTunes and want this program back. Start with completely uninstalling iTunes if present and all of it's components in the order specified in the article below. Once this is done, download and install iTunes. If none of your data was modified in the iTunes media folder, then your data should be present upon installation.

To eject iPod:
Select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
Click the eject icon next to the iPod in the Source list or choose Eject iPod from the Controls menu.

Hi, The options bar shows sample size 101 by 101 Average. That was my problem. When I was troubleshooting in order to try to explain to you what was happening, I noticed that when I sampled my models teeth, it gave me a color a bit lighter than her lipstick as my foreground color in my tool box. That started me thinking in the correct way. I didn't realize that my sample size had somehow gotten switched from point sample to 101 by 101 average. I appreciate the help. Thank you.

No. If it states designed for both iPad and iPhone, then it won't run on an iPod touch.
