Ibook refund

Is it possible to get a refund on a book you just purchased by mistake?

Officially, all purchases are final (since you can't very well return it). You could try asking Support if they would consider a refund - they have been known to do this occasionally as a one-off concession, but please be aware that they are under absolutely no obligation to do this.
Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'All Products and Services' in the first column, 'iTunes' in the second column and then 'iTunes Store' in the third column.

I bought the wrong book in ibooks. How can i get  a refund?

A refund may not be possible since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:

It's possible they'll make an exception for you.
    Good luck.

  • I downloaded ibooks on my ipad. Application was free but it had books in the library. They started downloading and I didn't purchase them or order them. Now I have received charges for 4 books that I didn't want to purchase. How can I get a refund?

I downloaded the ibooks application on my ipad 2. It showed books in the library. It downloaded and charged me for 4 books I didn't order.  How do I get a refund? Is there a phone number to call? And why did this happen?

  • How do I return an unopened refurbished iBook for a complete refund?

I ordered a refurbished 14 inch ibook a while ago and it has been sitting in an unopened box ever since. It cost about $1050. I bought this before the new intel MacBook's came out, and now that they are out, they are much better than the ibook's. Plus the iBook 14 inch is a weird ratio.
How would i return my unopened ibook for a complete refund and only pay like 50 bucks more for a new macbook?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
It depends on the store you bought it from. Read the policies of the store you bought it from, if they are posted on the web. Your "awhile ago" doesn't tell us anything about the number of days. If you have no idea when you bought it, but bought it by credit card, you can usually call the store and ask them with your credit card number to verify when that was. Most stores I've seen have a time limit on returns. Some do not accept refurbished products back. It is best to check with the individual store.

Can I get a refund if purchased a iBook I did not want or I did not get a complete download?

  • Can i get a refund if I ordered wrong book on ibooks and cancel it please?

Can i get a refund and cancel a book if I ordered the wrong one on ibooks?

Is it a book that you've bought or is it only a pre-order ? If pre-ordered then you can cancel the pre-order : iTunes Store: About pre-orders (you aren't charged for pre-orders until they are released, so there shouldn't be anything to refund)
If it's an already released book that you've bought then purchases are considered final, but you can try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
Or you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

I just purchased two books in the app store , unfortunately they are in German . Is there any way I can get a refund , an Ibook translator or a link to convert ibooks to pdf so I can translated it??

sure pretty simple.  make a backup of your current settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US
then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
    then import pics to computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

  • TS1702 How do I get a refund/credit on an ibook?

I downloaded a part two book from an author but it has the same content as the first book in the series.
How do I go about getting a credit or refund?
    Thanks,
    Becky

Have you tried deleting the book from iBooks and re-downloading it via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app ? If it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that book and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • HT4059 Can you get a refund if an iBook fails to open once you make a purchase?

What happens when an iBook fails to open properly? Do I ave any recourse through iTunes?

If you are having an issue with a purchase that is not working properly, you can either delete and re-download it through iBooks (there is a section that shows your previous purchases and allows you to re-download them) or you can contact iTunes by filling out the form below to request a refund if necessary.

  • I purchased an iBook and the text is garbled. Does anyone know how to get a refund?

Does anyone have troubleshooting tips or an idea how to get a refund?
    Thanks!

A few things that you could try if you haven't already done so :
deleting the book and re-downloading it - ibook purchases can be re-downloaded for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
closing the iBooks app completely and seeing if the book looks ok when you re-open the iBooks and that book : from the home screen (i.e. not with iBooks 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iBooks app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
deleting the iBooks app itself and re-downlading it and all your books - you may want to copy all your books to your computer first via File > Transfer Purchases and/or checking that they are still available for re-download
if none of the above work then use 'report a purchase problem' : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933

It's possible they'll make an exception for you. An exception is more likely if the app is defective in some way or doesn't do what the developer advertised and the developer has been unable or unwilling to help you.
    Good luck.

  • I bought an ibook my MacBook Air can't play. Can I get a refund?

I bought a book from iBooks, but it apparently has DRM which means my iMac and MacBookAir can't play it. I don't have an ipod and I don't fancy reading a book on an iphone, even the 5. Can I get a refund, and if so how?
I might add that I have been reading Kindle books on the MacBook Air without any bother.
    Loftyjs

Try using the Report a Problem link on your receipt.
On every purchase page in the iBookstore under Requirements it states that an iOS device is required.
