IBook user - getting SICK of Safari

Question

Ok - I loyaly use Safari, and have since I became a mac user about 10 months ago. However, the past two weeks, I am getting SICK of safari crashing every day. Literally, at least once a day it just crashes while I am surfing through sites...most usually espn.com. Why is this happening? Is it a Safari update that apple has to release? Is it something that I should do to my iBook (I've erase the CACHE very often)?!? Help, I cant browse!

Definitely switch to firefox. (and make sure and go into the safari preferences and change your default browser to firefox)
Once you have it installed, use these settings to increase page-loading speed within firefox:
In firefox, type "about:config" in the address bar to bring up the configuration editor.
Adjust these values accordingly. For boolean types just doubling clicking will switch them. For integers, you will be prompted to enter a value. Note that these are meant for broadband users.

network.http.request.timeout – 300
Finally, you need to add in a variable to the list. In order to do so, right click and select "new --> integer". A menu will popup asking for you to enter the name of this integer. Enter "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This tells the fox not to wait on displaying the data that it has received from the server.
Now, just close out that window and enjoy your new-found speed!
