IBooks 1.3.2 (422) photos overwritten with text...
Noticed that photographs (all of which worked flawlessly in earlier version of iBooks) now are sometimes overwritten with a line of adjoining text—but only when certain font sizes are chosen.
It happens consistently (I tried Palatino and Verdana, and at different font sizes, the photographs would have a line of text over them, or sometimes a whole paragraph.

I've been working on this book for months, and never had this problem. To check, I took an ePub version from several days ago (pre-1.3.2) and it now has the same problem.
Using iOS 5, iBooks 1.3.2 (422).
Additional information on same problem.
1) as you can see from these screenshots, when font size is changed pics jump around (but appear to leave a whole where they should be).

2) If I try bookmarking the page that has the misplaced photo, that page doesn't get the bookmark. The page that should have the photo gets the bookmark.

Why are photos sent with text messsage square?
Recently all photos I send with text messages appear square. They are cut off at the top. When I view them in my photo stream they are rectangular. I do not use the square option on the camera.
The only way I have been able to fix the problem is to go to the photo I want to use, edit it and crop to a rectangular aperture. What a pain! Hope someone can help me with this. Please!

Updated to iOS 5 and tried sending a message with a phot to an iPhone that has not been updated. My message shows as sent, but neither the text or photo are received. Text alone works fine.
This is being caused by using the same Apple ID for iMessage. To fix this you have two choices:
On all but one of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. Note: you can still share the same ID for purchasing in Settings>iTunes & App Stores; or
On all of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at". -
Photo gallery with text description
I've got PSE7 and DW CS4. I'd like to add a photo gallery to a website where the photo is accompanied by a text description of about 60 words (ie not just a title). Ie the user clicks on a thumbnail and when the larger image is displayed, the user also sees this text description.
As far as I can see PSE7 doesn't allow me to create such a gallery.
Any ideas? If there is another tool that can do this, then I'd be interested to hear about it. I've looked at flash galleries too to buy but haven't found a suitable one yet.You might give SmugMug a try.
They have a wide variety of presentation styles for their galleries, and I think they have one like you describe.
And... PSE7 has a built in uploader to SmugMug to make posting your images there easy. In the Organizer, look under the Share Tab, and then under More Options. A couple cool services hidden under there.

Facebook photos syncing with text Messages
My apologies if this has been addressed already, I tried a search, but didn't find anything specific to my question.
I've noticed on my Fascinate that when I'm in messaging, I don't see any of the Facebook profile pictures associated with my text messages. The pictures show up under contacts, but not under the text messages.
Is anyone else having this problem? I'm not sure when this started, but maybe when I upgraded to Froyo?

Online photo editor with text option
Hello,
Would anyone suggest a photoshop version that has an online editor which still provide high res fonts, such as the fonts won't look pixalated when I make the image into a jpeg? this is want currently happens with an online editior I am using, also I find that the creative cloud slows down my computer at times, does anyone know why this is?

40GB iPod Photo came with FW cable, doesn't work with FW cable
I have a 40GB iPod photo that I love. I bought another (used) one for my wife, being careful to get the identical model so we could share things such as docks, cables, etc.
Her iPod works fine with the USB cable, but will only charge with the FW cable -- no computer can see her iPod through FW. I've reset the iPod, updated it with the iPod updater, but nothing. When I connect her iPod to any of my Macs (her 12" iBook, my 12" PowerBook, my G5 iMac) with FW, the iPod appears to be charging, but is not detected by the computer, nor are any of the iPod controls usable. It doesn't go to the "do not disconnect" screen, but simply freezes where it is until the FW cable is disconnected.
Specifics: both iPod Photos are the 40GB model M9585LL, version 1.2.1. The 2nd one CAME WITH a FW cable, which is why I'm puzzled that it won't work with it. Help?Here is some info for the pinout for the iPod.

You need to find the pinout of the camera cable you have.
Probably be easier to get get an AV cable with a 3.5mm plug to (whatever fits into your TV) cable.
Usually, you simply have to swap the Red and the Yellow for it to work properly. -
Photo gallery with Thumbnail View in Flex 3
Hello everyone
I very urgently need an answer to a very simple qeuestoon. I have been trying really hard since days to get a solution to this simple problem but in vain.
I am building an application in Flex 3. I simply want to create a photo gallery with a thumbnail where when the user clicks on a thumbnail, the image is shown in the canvas/tab navigator box next to it. The images are stored in a local folder (in src) are ARE NOT on available on any web link.
The Vbox with the thumb image and the .xml file has been created. But when I click on the thumbnail, the full image cannot be seen in the application. I dont know if this is a problem with data binding or what.
Please help!!!

trace the url path just before u load the file and u will be abel to find whether that file is in specified folder or not.

Strange behaviour of iPad Photos app/My Photo Stream with iOS 8.1 and Yosemite
My requirement is surely simple and commonplace, yet is proving impossible to achieve thanks to Apple's weird design of the Photos app and the way My Photo Stream works. I'm very technically savvy, but I'm quite prepared to admit I'm being stupid if someone can explain what I'm doing wrong! I have an iPad Air running iOS 8.1 and a MacBook Pro Retina with OS X 10.10 (Yosemite). I've enabled iCloud Drive on both. iPhoto on the Mac is at v9.6.
I have a selection of 109 photos from a recent holiday in a folder on my MacBook, which I would like in a folder on my iPad as a nice way to show them to friends. iTunes may work but seems so incredibly clunky and old-fashioned I hoped I could do it over the network or via the cloud. I would use (and often have used) Dropbox, which is reliable and logical but rather tedious as you have to save each photo one by one.
So, with a little research and playing around, I found that I could get them to the iPad using iPhoto on the Mac, with My Photo Stream enabled. However, it doesn't seem to work. The photos were all created yesterday so had yesterday's date (I'd removed EXIF data that contained various earlier dates).
I've just done the following test:
I deleted all photos from the iPad (using the Photos app)
On the Mac, I deleted all photos from iPhoto
In iPhoto Preferences on the Mac, I turned on “My photo stream”, with the two sub-options also enabled
I imported the 109 photos into iPhoto
On the iPad, in My Photo Stream, I saw the photos gradually appear over the next few minutes
A minute or two later, when no more seemed to coming, I found that 103 of the original 109 were in My Photo Stream. So, strangely, 6 photos were missing
Even stranger, in the “Photos” tab, under “Yesterday” 37 of them could be seen. If I understand this correctly (which I may not), that means 37 of them had been copied from the My Photo Stream to the iPad itself. Am I right? Why only 37?
On the iPad, I added a new Album called Summer 2014
I selected all 103 photos from My Photo Stream to add to the album
In the Summer 2014 album, I briefly see “103 Photos” at the bottom of the album, but this quickly changes to 66 as photos that briefly appeared now disappear, leaving only 66 left in the album
Checking in Photos/Collections/Yesterday, I find there are now 66 photos (rather than 37 as there were earlier) - the same ones that are showing in my Summer 2014 album.
If I attempt to manually add any of the missing photos to the album, nothing happens - the album refuses to allow any more than the 66 it has.
In iPhoto on the Mac, if I click on the SHARED/iCloud entry on the left, I see all 109 photos, which I think means iPhoto has correctly shared them all, so I suspect the problem is with the iPad.
Yesterday, when I was playing with this, the album allowed 68 photos. I tried deleting one and adding one of the missing photos, but it wouldn't allow this either, so I don't think it's objecting to the number of photos so much as disliking particular ones.
I've got 7.7GB free space on the iPad so I don't think it's a space issue.
Can anyone help? If it's a bug in iOS, iCloud or OS X, how can I report it, given that I'm out of my 3 months support for both my machines?
Thank you!Well done lumacj! This is a good workaround. Forgive me if I offer a simplified version here (this works if original photos are in Photo stream):
1. In "My photo stream", tap on select at top of screen
2. Tap on each photo you want to send via WhatsApp (circle with "√" shows for each photo)
3. Tap on square box with arrow at bottom of screen (Share) - NOT "Add To"
4. Tap on "Save image(s)"
5. Check that selected photos now appear on "Camera Roll"
6. From WhatsApp, send photos as you would have normally -
Why is it that when I connect my iPhone 5S to my Windows Vista computer, the photos made with my iPhone are all of very low quality and most of them are turned upside down?
On another note, the iPhone tells me that it's ''busy'' when opening a photo on the computer.
(I tried restarting my PC, connecting via another USB port, importing using PhotoStream, etc...)Are you using the front or rear camera? When you say they are low quality, are you referring to file/pixel size, or how the picture looks? As far as upside down, how are you holding the phone? Older versions of Windows have issues reading the Metadata from the pictures and will not display the same.

Full page prints from iPhone but not from iPad using photo app with AirPrint ? iPad only prints 4x6 on full size paper. It's an HP 8600.
I also have this problem printing photos from an iPad to an Epson WF-2540 printer. It prints only 4x6 and without border (so print starts at extreme top left corner of paper). Borderless printing is not selected on printer. Printing a square photo just crops to 4x6 size.

User profile sync Sharepoint 2010 photos thumbnail with AD and Lync 2010 - error on Full Synchronization- get events 8311, 6110, 6803 FIMSynchronization Service
We're trying to set up sync between Sharepoint and AD so photos are displayed in Lync.
The certificate referenced in 8311 is not the sharepoint root cert, its the UCC cert with our FQDN of the site. sharepoint.domain.com
Is this causing the problem with the sync and holding up the photos?
I have tried several proposed fixes, it hasn't helped.

It worked under Windows, now I use OS 10.8 and have to apply a preset with a click or Return button but after that the pop-up menu close so I have to open it once again to change a preset. Please help. Thank you!The filter panel is a shortcut for the content panel and it only effects the content of that window. So if you have a folder it will only see this as a folder and not with its content. (a Stack behaves about the same, being different in only counting the first file in the filter panel criteria but not what is in the stack itself)
You have a view work arounds, first is use menu view / show items from subfolders (this can take some time especially if you have not used caching before on this content) and this builds visible thumbs for all content and that can be used for filtering.
Or use the find command (Edit / find) and inhere specify the source and fill in the criteria include subfolders and this will give you the correct result.
When you create a smart collection the find command also pops up given you the same opportunity to get the results in a collection, but since a collection is only a bunch of aliases referring to the originals you might be a bit careful with editing and deleting. -

1. Create a smart album. Match condition as "Album" is "Any". That should capture all your photos and videos as of now.

I have two different iCloud accounts - business and personal. I can't sign into Photo Stream with my personal account because it says my business account is my primary account. They are separate but equal accounts. I have tried deleting the iCloud account from my iPhone, then my MacBook Pro and signing in again on both devices. The iPhone says that my primary account ismy personal account (which is good) but my MacBook Pro still will not sign into that account so I can use Photo Stream.
