IBOOKS AUTHOR PORTRAIT MODE HELP PLEASE

Hi All
I wonder if anyone can help and advise me on a problem
i have a page created in ibooks author
it contains graphics, text and text boxes with a picture frame and a gradient fill inside; however when I switch from landscape mode to portrait mode the text box I created that needs to be after all the text created is either above the text or hidden behind a scrollable blue line with up and down arrows.
this is really anoying me and can't see how to fix the problem

Here's the deal - often enough, a certain layout subtlety (defined as 'do this to do that') is found to be predicated on one or more specific templates.
In order to debug an issue, that if solved relies on a template that the book in question doesn't use, the process can mean that there is no direct path towards xyz solution...only that the issue is spotlighted.
This can mean the issue is compounded by the original choice of template, which in turns mean that the solution is to change templates and most likely start over.
I don't know for a fact that your issue would be rectified by changing templates, and I'm not up for doing all the work to (a) find the proper template and (b) throughly refit your content to test the voracity of that template's ability to solve this one issue, sorry. Keep in mind there may be a very direct/simple solution with your book as-is...only by debugging it would you know

Ibook author uploading issues - help!

Hi. Finally got the approval and am in the delivery stage - but a big HOWEVER - I can't get the program to accept any of the copies of the publication piece I have. I can't upload the iBooks Author version that I created and saved (the only edited version for iPad that I have). Any suggestions? I am obviously not doing something.
Also - they are asking for a "preview" version and I understand that it is a few pages of the book, but do I create that version in iBook Author or just from a PDF version of it. Because it needs to be uploaded, I will probably have the same trouble I am having uploading the full book.

iTP won't let you select something you can't upload...PDF is not a choice at that point.
For the store Preview, create a short version of your iBook...you need a file with the suffic .ibooks <or> .epub

IPHONE 3G RESTORE MODE HELP PLEASE

I can't restore my IPHONE 3G 8G is it STUCK IN APPLE LOGO i don't know what firmware i had on it..ITUNES it will recognize it just in DFU MODE i will tell you what i had tryed so far to fix this.

can someone (ie a mod) please help.been without a phone line and broadband now for three weeks had three different dates when situation would be resolved and still awaiting a satisfactory solution.promises of returned phone calls to my mobile have not happen on two occasions.
I fail to see how in the 21st century in one of the most technically advanced countries in the world we have to wait three weeks for this to be resolved.
I have been told the fault is due to collapsed ducting and they had to dig a trench to resolve it.How long does it take to dig a trench?
effectivley I am paying for my landline and broadband via Bt who are not providing the service.
when you ring up you effectivly get apologetic lip service but no one takes ownership of the problem either as an company (bt blame open reach who it appaers to me to be unaccountable) or individual employees (WE WILL RING YOU BACK BUT DONT).
A company is judged how it reacts to problems and BT has been nothing short of appaling so far.
Does anyone know how I can esculate my situation? or own the problem and see it through to a resolution or can a member advise the most effective way to formally complain to someone like a governing body to but me back into the year 2013.

Laptop shuts down after sleep mode, help please!

When I close the lid or press the sleep mode button, my laptop goes into sleep mode and everything is ok. However, when I open the lid or press the power button to awake it... after a few seconds, my laptop shuts down! I just formatted my laptop to the factory settings hoping to fix the issue, but it persists. Please help!

This Computer is no longer authorized!! HELP PLEASE!

After changing the logic board on my MacBookPro recently, tried to sync and transfer my purchased apps & music to ITunes, it comes back saying "This computer is no longer authorized for this Iphone... and then I continue to authorize it, the it says it's already authorized. But then within a few seconds it comes back with the same message that it's not Authorized! And that if I don't authorize it my Apps & data will be deleted from my phone & Ipad..
Not sure if it has anything to do with this or something else is happening with ITunes, as for when I try to Update my Apps on my Iphone4 or my Ipad (1st Generation) it says: "Cannot Connect to Itunes Store"
What can I do to solve this please help

Replacing a logic board will do that.
First, try iTunes > Store > "Deauthorize this computer..." and subsequently authorize it again.
If that does not work, log in to your account from the same menu, and under "Computer Authorizations" select "Deauthorize All".
That should work, but you will not be able to use "Deauthorize All" for another year. Should that present a problem, contact iTunes Support and explain the reason you needed to do this.
You will need to "authorize" each computer individually after you invoke "Deauthorize All".

Start Up in Safe Mode: Help Please

Have a late 2012 iMac and would like to start it up in safe mode. I have heard that you press the shift key after the chime when you start it up, but have
not had any luck. Can someone advise me as to how to get the computer to start up in safe mode please.

Okay. This all makes sense now. And why the OP originally thought after chimes. He is right. San Lewy, I always thought you couldn't do it through bluetooth as well. From CNET:
If any inputs are being sent via the Bluetooth keyboard before the controllers are active, then they will not be recognized by the system. However, if these inputs are performed after the controllers are activated, then they will be properly read. Therefore, for Bluetooth keyboards, be sure to press the desired key sequences after you hear the boot chimes and not before.

Can't get iBook xorg to work - Help please!

I'm so close to having Arch linux ppc installed, but 'X -config' fails. I've tried several different changes to xorg.conf, but nothing seems to work. I've attached the Xorg.0.log and xorg.conf. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I'm no expert, but try removing the "fbdevhw" module from your xorg. I'd look over my PPC xorg.conf, but I don't have access to it currently.

Having trouble streaming NBA league pass from my MBP to my TV in full screen mode, help please.

So i have the Moshi mini dp and the apple hdmi cable. I cannot stream from my MBP to my TV in FULL sceen mode cleanly with 720p resolution. When NOT hooked up to my TV the MBP has no problem going fullscreen perfectly, then, when I connect the mini dp to the MBP and TV it gets messed up on both the TV and MBP. The last caveat is that it streams PERFECTLY in NON full screen mode, but, the second I change it to full screen, blamo! It gets all messed up. One thing I did that is really just a 'work around' was decreased my resolution, no longer 720p >:( and this is not satisfactory to me. Any suggestions?

Any help to increase the resolution quality of my DV file will be EXTREMELY HELPFUL.
For faster editing iMovie 08 & 09 uses single-field processing. This means every other horizontal line of the video is thrown out, which reduces the sharpness of the footage. iMovie 06 uses all of the image, I think you will find it looks better.
iMovie 06 and iDVD 09 is a terrific combination.

I can't connect to database during the installation of soa suite just because I can't get over the page "Specify Database Connect Information". That might be something wrong with the hostname.
So my question is how I can install it correctly. Please explain it in details, I am a beginner. Thanks a lot!

I can't download the patchsets from metalink because I do not have a metalink account. It is impossible for me to buy oracle's products for the reason that I am a student at school. I use oracle just for learning.
So it seems like that the only way I can go is to use XE. But I still want to ask you if there is another way for me to get the patchsets for db 10.2.0.1.

I am trying to build a sales survey for my company.
i would love it to be an ipad/ibook app that allows my sales team to follow a set of questions
when a client calls in for a part. The salesman will have say 8 different options to sell
he will ask the client which one of these eight options he is interested in.
the client will say the #6 option...(could be any one of eight, this is just an example)
the sales person will click on #6 option and it takes him to another page with a list of 8 more questions pertaining to the #6 option.
he will then ask the client which of those eight options he is interested in.
the client will say #5...(could be any one of eight, this is just an example)
the sales person will click on #5 and another list of say 5 questions pertaining to #5 will come up.
ultimately the salesmen will get the correct information from the client by asking and getting answes from the ongoing list of question and there will
no longer be a possibility of sending the wrong part to the client because of forgotten questions.
i think you get the idea. i need the survey to have a return to previous page button at the bottom so the salesman
can correct himself if he selects the wrong button or the client gives the wrong answer and wants to change it.
also, there should be a button to return to the home page if the sales person needs to start again from the beginning.
This is a way in which the sales team can help their customers (looking to buy industrial fuses which have many
options) purchase the correct fuses with the correct settings in a very methodical manner and not forget
any of the variations that go into building any given fuse.

Bookmarks are just one of over 100 features removed from Pages 5, use Pages '09 instead which should be in your Applications/iWork folder.
