IBooks Library not synching between iPad & Macbook Pro

I've loaded PDFs into my iPad and Macbook Pro ibook libraries, but they are not synching between the devices. All synching has been turned on in preferences on my Mac, iTunes and iPad. Any suggestions as to how to get both devices listing same ibook library contents?

Tack on another user. Annoying to say the least...
Found another thread on another forum that mentioned disabling and re-enabling the "automatically download books" opton under settings / itunes & app stores and after doing that, the two started syncing again even though I don't purchase my books through the itunes store.

I've downloaded the Keynote apps, accessed the iTunes library => Apps => Keynote => added the PDF files I wanted
They are visible in the iTunes library on my computer. Now synching my ipad to the computer, open Keynote apps, selected + copy from iTunes and I can see the list of all the PDF docs I have added but there are in grey shade and cannot click on them to add them to my ipad.

Sounds like you just updated your IOS. Check the iTunes settings and confirm that nothing was changed:

Ok so here is the issue...
My iCloud settings have been enabled for both the Macbook Pro and my iPad2 for everything except for mail and photostream. I mainly need iCloud for my iCalendar Calendars and documents through Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.
For example, my Macbook Pro says I have 4 contacts, yet my iPad has a couplw dozen. I've backed up the iPad2 yet the Macbook dosn't change at all. I've recently a convert from PC's and don't know much about the Mac OS yet so I'm hoping someone can help the newbie out!

On the Mac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Contacts then reselect then restart your Mac. You can do this from the Apple menu.
(You can open System Prerferences from your Apple menu (top left in your screen), or from the Dock or from your Applications folder)
On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Contacts off then back on then reset the iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Hopefully your Contacts will sync as they should now.

AirDrop not working between two MacBook Pros

I have a late-2013 Retina MBP running Mavericks. When trying to send files via AirDrop between my laptop and another MBP (non-Retina, circa 2010) also running Mavericks, I have intermittent success. Both machines can usually see each other, and I am able to attempt to send files between them, but more than half the time the receiving computer fails to receive the request. It just never shows up. Everything seems to work fine on the sending end.
It doesn't matter which machine is doing the sending or receiving. Restarting doesn't matter. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, no rhyme or reason I can see. Just now I tried to send a PDF from the non-Retina to the Retina: success. Five minutes later I tried another PDF: no luck. I tried to send a file from the Retina to the non-Retina: again, no luck. Both machines can still see each other. Both laptops are only a foot apart and didn't even move in the interim. What is going on?

Searching around, one reasonable thing to try is trashing these preference files:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.P2PSupervisor.plist
/Library/Preferences/System Configuration/CaptiveNetworkSupport/Settings.plist
Maybe restart.
Other things:
Reset NVRAM and PRAM
start up in Safe Mode
Sacrifice a lamb.

HT6510 Airdrop between two Macbook Pro's is not working in Yosemite

Airdrop is not working between my Macbook Pro Late 2011 and my co-workers Macbook Pro Mid 2012 on Yosemite. We're on the same wireless network. It worked fine in Mavericks.

It's probably that UVerse modem/router you have. I say this because I've run into similar issues with Arris modem/wifi router boxes from Comcast for a few clients. They went out a bought an AirPrint capable printer and configured it on the network. They could print to it from their PCs just fine (IP based printing), but none of their iOS devices would see the printer as an AirPrint device, they couldn't see any printer on the network. The solution was to put their modem into bridge mode (while disabling the WIFI on it) and use a Netgear router behind it in normal fasion. AirPrint worked fine after that. After some further digging, I discovered that Arris has an issue with supporting some Multicase based protocols on their boxes.
My suggestion is to go try AirPrint on another WIFI network and see what happens. If it works, then you have your answer. Obviously, if the first one doesn't work, don't give up... you can't just say it's not the router beause you can't be sure what that other network has for WIFI. Just keep an open mind when testing this. Or you could go get yourself a router and set it up, but that of course would cost you money you may not want to spend until you're 100% sure that this is the case here.

Seems the gateway device that UVerse installs can have similar issues as I described above. At this point, I'd look at that device as your culprit for this. I can't think of anything else that could be causing this to not work.

On an iPad with iTunes, do you know if you can edit/delete all your tunes on your device with a "clear all" button rather than having to delete a song one by one like you have to do on an iPhone if not synching via a MacBook/ PC with iTunes account?

I'm signed up to the Cloud and itunes match - the whole game. But I cam getting annoyed with having to delete songs one by one on my iPhone once dowloaded from the cloud as I only have a 16GB phone....yes I listen to music non-stop! So, I am thinking about getting an iPAD as I rarely use my MacBook Pro for anything other than surfing and music now... so the question is: "On an iPad with iTunes, do you know if you can edit/delete all your tunes on your device with a "clear all" button rather than having to delete a song one by one like you have to do on an iPhone (if not synching via a MacBook/ PC with iTunes account where I know you can clear down and refill with ease)????

Need help synching hotmail between new macbook pro and iphone.

I have an iphone and now have a new macbook pro. My hotmail does not synch between the two. Called apple support and they couldn't help me. Stated I needed to load imap vs pop and had to get hotmail support. Found this link and followed instructions to make change on macbook in my apple email. http://mac.tutsplus.com/tutorials/productivity/how-to-set-up-outlook-com-using-i map-in-apple-mail-or-microsoft-outlook/. Deleted Pop acct.
It appears to still not synch with phone. Turned phone off/on. What else do I need to do?

Most of the factory software-installation options have been dropped recently. This is probably because almost everything that Apple used to offer to preinstall for you can now be obtained very quickly and easily through the App Store.

dates are correct, iCloud is on for those applications. etc.

Your profile shows that you are running OS X 10.6.7. If that's true, you will need to update a iCloud requires OS X 10.7.5 or later. If you are running a more recent version of OS X and your data still isn't syncing, check to be sure of the following:
That your Mac and iOS devices are signed into the same iCloud account and have Calendars and Contacts turned on in Settings (System Preferences)>iCloud.
That you have selected iCloud as your Default Account for contacts in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars on your iOS devices and in Contacts (Address Book)>Preferences>General on your Macs.
That you have selected an iCloud calendar as your Default Calendar in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars on your iOS devices and in Calendar (iCal)>Preferences>General on your Macs.

Apps not syncing between iPad 3 and iPhone4S

I recently noticed that my apps aren't in sync with each other between my iPad and iPhone.
For instance, on the iPhone lets say I have Mail and Twitter accounts set up to automatically notify me when I have messages.
So if my iPhone shows I have 4 mail messages and 2 tweets, my iPad would show no messages or tweets.
This is similar to iPhone iMessage texts not syncing to my MacBook Pro iMessage app.
I can't seem to find an answer to this as it was working before the iOS7 update.
Any ideas?

OK. I have solved it for my computer:
First need to make sure that in iCal (on the Mac laptop) an iCloud account is activated (under preferences/accounts), then need to select one of the iCloud calendars (any one of them, doesn't seem to matter which) as the default calendar (again under preferences/general). Need to do same on iphone, if this hasn't been done previously (I had already done this though).
After that, any new appointments made on the laptop seem to appear on iCloud. To move over the old appointments, have to select each one individually and change the calendar from the 'on my mac' to the equivalent iCloud one (all the calendars have an iCloud duplicate).
Still getting a couple of duplicates around invited & repeat appointments, but should resolve eventually once I start making all my appointments on the iCloud calendars.

I have reset nvram, performed a safe boot, pulled the cache to desktop, replaced .globalpreference.plist, & tested all other keys with "keyboard viewer" (all other keys work except for the arrow).
In addition, I have gone thru all the recommended checks with universal access and have booted from snow leopard dvd and the left arrow still does not work.
I have tried using the left arrow key in all of applications I use such as: excel, ms word, address book, calendar, iphoto, terminal, & highlighting an icon and using the arrows to move to another selected icon.
Here is the kicker! In addition, I purchased a logitech solar bluetooth keyboard and the arrows work fine with my ipad but do not work when paired with the macbook pro. All other keys work fine on the macbook pro using the bluetooth keyboard.
I believe this says that the problem is not in my macbook pro keyboard. So where can it be?
Can anyone think of any other rabbit holes I can search?

I would also like to add that I've reverted the two cd drive and hard drive mods I did and the laptop is back to factory hardware and there is 0 corrosion or mold visible.
