IBooks PDF's from iPad2 to Mac?

I have an ipad2 with numerousPDF's in folders within iBooks.  Bought a MacBook Pro last summer and the folders show upon it in iBooks but they are empty. How do I get the PDF's to show in the folders?

Connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases - that should copy PDFs and epubs that are in the iBooks app on your iPad, not just ibooks. You might then need to do File > Move Books From iTunes in your Mac's iBooks app to copy them into it.

  • Can't download pdf bills from utility companies - mac

I am on a Mac running OSX 10.6.8.  Whether I use Firefox (latest version 18.0) or Safari (version 5.1.7), I am unable to download my bills in pdf formats from Centerpoint.com and Centurylink.com   -  I have contacted customer service at both sites and they have said they don't know why it's happening, and I should contact Adobe.  So I am here.
When I get to the sections on these pages where I can view my bill, and subsequently "view as pdf" or "download pdf" - here's what happens.  In firefox, I get a popup that says: Adobe Reader is required to view this file. When I click the same fields in Safari, a blank (white) window opens up and just sits there.
I have installed on my computer Adobe Reader 11.0.01
I would really apprecaite any help with this at all.  The amount of time that has been invested (to no avail) in trying to simply download my utility bills in pdf format has been ridiculous.
    Thanks!

Yes - I did and it works perfectly.  Again, the webpages I am attemtping to download my bill's in .pdf form from are Centerpointenergy.com and Centurylink.com.
On centerpoinenergy.com, the main page has a "view/print bill" tab.  When I click on that, a new window opens where I can view my bill.  In the upper left is a tab that says, "view pdf."  When I click on that, a new window opens up and here's the problem - a notice appears saying, "Adobe Reader is required to view this file http://get.adobe.com"
I have adobe reader installed, but thier page is not recognizing it - or something.  I've asked them about this and they told me to contact adobe.
On Centurylink.com, I click "view my full bill." Then on the next page I click, "print or save this bill."  The file that appears is a .action file as I described above.
Everyone's help and attention here is greatly appreciated.

  • How do i transfer photos from ipad2 to mac

how do i transfer photos from ipad2 to mac

For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you ten copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

  • Transferring movies from iPad2 to Mac

I am transferring movies purchased fromn iTunes on my iPad2 to my MAC computer using a USB connection. I used the "Transfer from Devices" option under the "File" option in iTunes to make the transfer.  However, each movie is taking more than 12 hours to transfer and sometimes up to 20 hours. This can't be right. Can anyone let me if this is indeed normal or if there is something I am doing wrong or can do to increase the speed of the transfer.
    Many thanks
    Martin

Depending on which iTS you purchased from - go to the iTS main page - From the Quicklinks section - select Purchased - then select Movies. You can re-d/l some movies from the Cloud depending upon the movie/iTS you purchsed through.

  • How do I sync/copy a photo album from iPad2 to Mac?

    Hi,
Sorry if this was asked before but, how can I transfer a photo album from my iPad2 to a Mac computer using Lion?  Somehow iPhoto on my Mac can't find my photo album on the iPad.  Album doesn't show up in iTunes either.
    Thanks in advance for helping!

  • How to transfer itunes library from ipad2 to mac

i had to completely erase and restore my mac but unfortunately i was unable to save my itunes library. does anyone know how i can transfer from my ipad2 to my mac???

If you follow the instructions in this thread ... Read Demo and King Penguin .... You should be able to Transfer virtually everything from the iPad to the Mac.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3305461
It will take a little time and patience so read through the steps first. Remember - Turn off auto sync in iTunes on the Mac, then transfer purchases and then backup your iPad before you sync with iTunes.

  • Transferring photos from ipad2 to mac - where are photos?

I took my ipad2 on vacation and used the camera connection kit (CCK?) to download my SD cards. (many people, many cameras)
I used iPhoto to transfer my photos to my mac but can't find them anywhere except within iPhoto.
On my pc, the photos are treated as individual files that you can move around, rearrange and duplicate.
Where are the individual photos on my mac? Finder shows the images in iPhoto Library, but I can't manipulate it at all.

You can export them out of iPhoto.

  • How do i save PDFs directly from web browser to iBooks - on a MAC

Is it possible to save PDFs directly from a web browser (any web browser) to iBooks?
it is easy to view and 'open in' iBooks from an iPad/iPhone, but don't see this option on the MAC.
i have resorted to saving the file and emailing it.  Once viewed on the 'i-device' it can be easily saved.
iBooks is installed on my MAC and synced, so i can view the library.
I am just missing this direct step - MAC to iBooks
    Please help,
    Thanks - Rob

The iphone is not a storage/backup device.
The sync is one way - computer iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases:  File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old comptuer, to your new one.

Can't open PDF file from iBook on MAC. error "The application “ACDSee Pro” can’t be opened."

    Hi arewers,
Do you have Adobe Reader installed, by any chance? If so, are you aware if it was the PPC or Intel version which you installed? In any case, for the time being, have a quick look in 'HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins/' using Finder and see if there's an Adobe plugin lying around. If there is, try moving it out of the folder and restarting Safari.

  • Can't transfer iBooks pdfs from first gen iPad to new MacBook Pro

I have a bunch of important pdf files on a first gen iPad (iOS 5.1.1) that I want to transfer to iBooks in a 13" MacBook Retina.
In iTunes, choosing Devices >Transfer Purchases from My iPad isn't moving them over. I've been able to transfer all the non iBooks pdfs from GoodReader, etc. In iTunes, I can see them in the Books section of "On This iPad" but can't do anything but view info.
In iBooks, choosing File >Move Books from iTunes isn't doing it either.
Syncing warns me that it's going to delete the iPad files.
I'd rather not pay for 3rd party software if I can avoid it.
    Thanks.

No they're not in the iTunes library. Purchased titles transferred and a few other things but a bunch of DRM-free pdfs and DRM-free EPUBS won't Budge.
"Or you don't see them with the iPad connected to the Mac, with iTunes running, the iPad selected under devices and then look in the books tab of iTunes on the right?"...
No. However, if I go a couple tabs further to the right, to "On This iPad" and select Books in the left column, they're all listed. I just can't do anything but view their info or rate them.

  • Transferring a pdf file from my Mac to my iPad

I ws told that there is A WAY OF TRANSFERRING A PDF DOCUMENT FROM MY MAC TO MY IPAD. DFoes anyone know how to do this?

I still make use of iTunes/iBooks too.
iTunes is especially important if I'm adding lots of pdfs (or just larger pdf files), that'd take too long to upload/download.
But, its always nice to have another means of entry that isn't confined to iTunes, or starting web servers from inside apps, etc etc.
Plus, it's not just for pdfs... AND you can get at your files from literally anywhere (Mac's, PC's, iDevices, Android, Dropbox website, etc.) It really is a fantastic service.
BTW, choosing "Open in iBooks" will move the pdf into the "PDFs" Collection in iBooks.  That might help you find your previous errant pdfs.
