IBooks transfer not working.

I got some books and when I tried to transfer them to my new air they would not come. Well, they came but ten seconds later disappeared. What happened? They were all from JW.org. No cost. Really great. Even the bible. Should I backup with the cloud instead of computer?

Hmm. Thanks for the tip - although won't work for me, since mine was already switched to off. I switched it on, then off again, and have restarted my iPad. That didn't work - in fact, it switched it back on once it was restarted, and when I highlighted a word, the only option I got was Speak.
So I turned speech off again, force-quit iBooks, and it's still back to where I was - the dictionary not working.
UGH.
All this, and even after yesterday's app update from Apple, it still doesn't work.

Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit IBooks and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

IBooks bookmarks not working after 1.2 upgrade

I have noticed the bookmarks on my iPad iBooks are not working after upgrading to 1.2 today.
I am unable to bookmark pages when I need to. It only works sporadically.
I have also noticed when closing a book and reopening, the book opens at last bookmarked page instead of last page read.
Please advice about any fix.

Same problem here, Bookmark always worked properly before iOS 5. I too noticed this while reading Steve's biography, ironic??
I have noticed that besides it appearing on previous page, that if I turn to lanscape and chose the bookmark it is appearing on the right of the second page of the two that appears as should be. So I wonder if this is some problem of formating between landscape 2 page view and the single page portrait view?
My two cents but this is sure annoying! I have not seen it jump back like some noticed however, just previous page in portrait view!

Have you tried closing the iBooks app via the iPad's taskbar and seeing if your books open when you re-open the app ?

The search field should show if you drag the bookshelf down, that should reveal the search box above the bookshelf - is that how you are trying to get to it ? If it is then see if the app closing also fixes it

I just had the same problem with blueman from repositories (1.99.alpha1-2), but it went away after installing blueman-git.

it does not show up in photostream in iphoto on my imac. Everything is activated and turned on.
Just in case, on your iMac, open System Preferences > iCloud
Make sure Photo Stream is switched to on.
If it was already on, switch that off. Restart your iMac, restart your iPhone.
See if photos sync between the iMac and iPhone.

IBooks is not working!

My ibooks won't download any new books and keeps kicking me out of the app. It worked so good up until I updated ibooks about a year ago, why is it not working?

Log and Transfer not working after reformatting computers

I have taught with FCP for years. This year, tech services reformatted my computers. Since they were formatted, Log and Transfer does not work with my Sony Handycam. A couple computers that have not been reformatted still Log and Transfer with no problems. The only difference I can find is that the newly formatted computers are running OSX 10.6.8. The computers that still Log and Transfer with no problems are running OSX 10.5.8.
I don't know if that is the problem, but would appreciate some direction here.

IBooks Dictionary not working

I have iBooks version 3.0.2 on my iPad and my operating system is 6.0.1
The dictionary does not work. I can select a word and choose "define" from the menu of options, but is always just brings up a window which says "No definitions found."
Other users have solved this problem by turning off the iPad speech function under accessibility, but that didn't work for me.

If I understand you correctly, you asked me to:
1) Open the iPad app "Notes"
2) type a word in a note
3) select that word I just typed (while the English keyboard remains active)
When I followed the above steps, the menu option "Define" does not even come up. My options are just "Cut, Copy, Paste, Suggest..."
After doing the above I realized you probably meant for me to create a note within iBooks. So, I did steps 1-3 in an iBook note and I got the same result.

IBooks Mac not working

Ever since I consolidated my files in iTunes my iBooks library has not be working. All existing downloaded books can not be opened or deleted. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, I am experiencing similar problems. I understand the thinking here (I think). iBooks is the book depository where you can manipulate your library and iTunes is just for audio and for syncing. I transferred my books and PDFs to iBooks 1.0.1 (as instructed) and iBooks seems to work fine for me on my MacBook Pro (Mavericks 10.9.1). However, iTunes seems to have retained the old database of books and when I update the Mac iBooks library, iTunes does not seem to know about the Mac iBooks database. When I sync, it just uses the old library that iTunes knew about before the Mavericks update, and it doesn't handle any updates. I tried the option key while opening iTunes to select a new library, but the iBooks library is not visible there. Effectively, I cannot sync the Mac iBooks to my iPad iBooks.
I am a reserch mathematician, so I download PDF journal articles to read on my ipad. The turnover is pretty fast. This is not the sort of information you can find in a book or eBook. Without being able to sync, iBooks on the iPad becomes useless for me. Some people have suggested a work around by using eMail, but that doesn't send the metadata, and some of the articles are larger than the 25 meg limit on my eMailer.
Do we just have to wait for the next version of Mac iBooks and iTunes so they can talk to each other ?

Call Hander transfer not working properly when extension dialed

In testing my call handers I have found that if you dial an extenstion during the greeting it only transfer to that extension when that extension has mailbox configured on the system. If the extension in call manager does not have a voice mailbox configured in Unity Connection then the transfer does not work.
When you dial our main number, the greeting tells the caller that if they know there parties extension they can dial it any time. This only works for extensions that have mailboxes.
Do I need to configure mailbox's for every phone even if they are not getting voice mail? Phones such as breakroom or conference room?

If you're running CUC 7 you just need this:
Allow Transfers to Numbers Not Associated with Users or Call Handlers—Check this check box to allow callers to transfer to extensions that are not assigned to other users or call handlers. Connection attempts a release transfer as long as the number entered by the caller is allowed by the Default System Transfer restriction table.

Munaza, let us laid some simple concepts before continuing (I'm a little slow, please bear with me and correct me if I'm wrong, OK?)
1. The internet service comes trough the telephone line to a DSL MODEM, right?. Does this modem have an ethernet port?, or has it only a USB one?
2. This modem doesn't have wireless capabilities (there are some modems who does)
3. You bought an airport express (ROUTER) and want to share the connection between the PC (wired) and the iBook (wireless), right?
If your modem have an ethernet port, you should be able to connect it to the airport express, therefore, "transforming" the wired into a wireless connection. However, the airport EXPRESS doesn't have a way to share a Wired connection, therefore, unless the PC has a wifi (802.11b or 802.11g) card, you won't be able to connect the PC while the airport express is using the modem (you can use the ibook wirelessly, though).
If the PC doesn't have a WiFi card, and you want to connect BOTH computers at the same time, you need another router, the airport Express won't work for your needs.
Now, If your DSL modem have only a USB connection, you will need another MODEM, before you can connect it to any router.
Please tell me if I'm talking non-sense to you (and answer my questions). This is basic so we can help you. Post back.

We have cisco2811 with c2800nm-adventerprisek9-mz.124-16 and 1 FXO + 2 FXS ports.
at this moment i use CME B-ACD to auto answering and forward call to internal fxs port.
problem - this call, terminated to fxs, cann't be transferred by using flash button on analog phone(to transfer call from fxs to fxs port i use app-h450-transfer.2.0.0.9.tcl)
Can somebody tall me WHAT to use to make transfer feature working??
