IBooks Video Training

Hi,
I got the book you recommended, but I found this step-by-step, online video training that was easier.

I really liked it! I needed someone to show me in order what to do. Much faster.
Thanks,

  • Free Quicktime video training

My boss wants to develop some in-house tutorials on how to PDF a file, etc.
We thought Quicktime could record whatever we do on screen as well as our voices explaining what we're doing.
Is there a place where we could find free online video training to learn Quicktime?
Everything I found was for version 5 under OS9. We are running version 7.
    Any help will be appreciated.

Most of us "pro's" use screen capture software like Snapz Pro X to capture the screen and built in audio (via the built in or an external microphone). QuickTime 7 Pro (Mac version) can be used to do a one click recording but it can't capture the screen.

  • Ibook video output

does the video adapter for current ibooks require that the tv you are connecting to has an s-video connection? if so, is there any other kind of cable/accessory available that will give you either an av or scart connection - like the video adapter for the older ibooks does?
    thanks

That is incorrect. The iBook G4 specifications indicate
VGA video output for video mirroring on an external display or projector (24-bit color) with included Apple VGA Display Adapter.
S-video and composite video output to TV or projector (requires Apple Video Adapter, sold separately)
You only need the Apple Video Adapter M9109G/A. Also see KB 88396, iBook video output cables/adapters and resolutions.

  • Adobe Photoshop video Training

For years now, I've been used in Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 for basic things but now I would like to buy Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and learned more.  My question is do you sell a video package with all the features it on it?  I would like to remove a person head from one image and put it on another image.  “I really don't even know what this feature is called.”   Then I would like to learn how to correct background.  Thank you

Adobe TV has video training guides:
    http://tv.adobe.com/show/learn-photoshop-elements-10/
View the videos for PSE8, PSE9, and PSE10 since some features are the same and new videos were not created for the newer versions.

  • Error in video training - Implementing two-way binding

During the Video training for Implementing two-way binding you have a slight error.
If you follow along with the video training the instructor misses the step of assigning the Value Object(DTO) as Bindable.
The instructor goes from adding the "@" symbol to the bound selectedEmployee.salary to running the application and it runs fine. To do this in the code you need to add [Bindable] to the Value Object(DTO) Employee.
    <s:TextInput id="salaryInput"
                             text="@{selectedEmp.salary}"/>
    package valueObjects
[Bindable]  <!-- missing adding this line to the Value Object before running  to get it to actually work -->

Not sure I'd call those training videos.
I am in the process of shooting more than 60 hours of videos right now and have put three small parts on Flashback on the web that anyone can watch who would like to do so. They cover Flashback Database, Flashback Drop, and Flashback Transaction Query.

  • Best Video Training Series For Photoshop

I am looking for a good video training series for Photoshop.
I learn much quicker when using video, but I need step-by-step instructions.
Needless to say, Photoshop is feature-rich and a bit intimidating.
    Any ideas?

What have you tried so far? What is your budget? Are you looking for free or paid (often better quality)?

  • LearnSmart video training review?

    Hi
I am searching for Java and Oracle associate video trainings. CBT Nuggets is famous, but I don't like their presentations.
found LearnSmart (http://www.learnsmartsystems.com) their video training are only a few hours (too less?)
Oracle 11g OCA CBT Video Training
         Oracle 11g PL/SQL Develop Program Units            $499
         Oracle 11g SQL Fundamentals I (1Z0-051)           $499
         Oracle 11g Administration I (1Z0-052)                $499
         Oracle 11g Administration II (1Z0-053)                $499
         Oracle 11g PL/SQL Fundamentals (1Z0-144)           $499
Oracle Certified Associate CBT Video Training
Oracle Certified Associate (Java) (CX-310-019)             $350      Did anyone bought their products and can give review? I didn't find reviews in Internet.
Official Oracle trainings are too expensive.

I have not taken any of their Oracle training. I signed up with them for a 'deal' one time that allowed me to pick any one course*. The Oracle courses were not included so I ended up taking their course for *1D0-541: CIW Database Design Specialist* because that was the only course available for a database topic in the 'deal'. That said I was not particularly impressed with the course. The video was professional enough. However, the course as presented spent a good 75% of the time on SQL. Since SQL is only one of ten sections in 1D0-541, that was ridiculously excessive. I'm confident that the instructor had used material from an 'Intro to SQL' style course for Microsoft SQL Server as the basis of the one I took, and just created a little bit of filler on the other topics to generate the one for 1D0-541.
That might be an exception to an otherwise great set of courses, but my introduction to their material was not positive. That said, I paid $1 for the deal. I will admit that I probably got more than a buck's worth of benefit from the course. :)
    * Except for any of the courses I might actually have wanted to take.

  • IBook Video Adapter

I just bought one of these things off eBay, but it doesn't seem to be working with my TV.
When I plug it into the iBook, the iBook screen with fade into a blue color (which would make me think it's detecting it), and then comes back with what I was doing on my Desktop. But nothing shows on my TV.
Is there some driver I need, or is there something I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks.

You may not have things hooked up properly.
Are you using a yellow cable to connect to the TV?
Is the cable connect to the TV's Video In jack?
If the TV has a TV/Video button/switch, make sure it is set to Video.
Keep in mind, your iBook will only mirror to the TV what is on the desktop.

  • IBook video out & TV - workable?

    Hiya.
I've got a 1.2 ghz iBook (more or less - gutted to make a cool mod that's in-process), and I'm looking at a VGA to RCA/S-video converter cable. Now, granted the thing's only $4, but I was wondering if anyone knows whether that's all the iBook's video section needs (after hooking up the VGA adapter that came with it, of course) to output to a TV, or would I need one of the more involved items that converts the video signal.
If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.
    Thanks

    Brett,
Not sure about the cable you're looking at, but I have an iBook G4 that I've used with external monitors (using the mini-VGA to VGA adapter) and with several TVs (using the mini-VGA to RCA/S-Video adapter). In both cases, I've never had issues, though I have only used the Apple adapters.
I'm not sure if the VGA to Video cable will work for your plan--you may need to invest in a box like this (which takes a single VGA input and splits it into VGA, RCA and S-Video):
    http://www.amazon.com/Lake-Converter-compatible-Windows-S-Video/dp/B00351VWKI/re f=sr15?ie=UTF8&qid=1290327582&sr=8-5.
Also, the iBook G4 is not designed to do anything but mirror its video when more than one display is used. However, you can work around this by installing an application called Screen Spanning Doctor, which will "unlock" that feature. I'm not certain it will work with your pet project, but here's the link if you'd like to try it. I've been using it on my iBook for 6 years, and I've never seen it cause troubles: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15401/screen-spanning-doctor
    Good luck to you!

  • IBook video port

I am going to be purchasing the new 12" iBook and my only concern was the external video port on it. I know Apple packages them with a VGA adapter to connect an external monitor. I have a 24" Dell widescreen LCD that I currently use its DVI interface. Does apple offer an adapter for this iBook that goes directly to DVI? A possibility is to use the VGA adapter first then connect the DVI adpater second but I do not to lose signal quality. Must I purchase it from another vendor? My monitor does have VGA input but I want to keep it DVI.
    Thanks
    -=SunnaH=-

    Will product work?
    http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore?productLearnMore=M9321
The iBook port is always marketed as mini-VGA but is that true? Can it also be mini-DVI?

  • Ibook video cable

If anyone remembers the video cabels that were used to conect the old ibooks to a tv, i wonder if this is the same cable for the 5g ipod. i'm not talking about the minivga-component adapter, but the 500,600 and 700 mhz white ibooks used a cable that had a headphone type plug on one end, and 3 rca's on the other. if anyone tries this, or knows if the cable will work, let us know.
    -thanks.

    Good question!
I don't know the answer, but I know the early iPod used a sleeve around the adaptor to transmit the remote control signal. Some found that the iPod remote could even control the iBook when playing media.
However, since this sleeve made the connector a bit nonstandard, I would THINK that it wouldn't be able to seat entirely within the connector on the new Pods, so it wouldn't work. I don't have one to verify, but that's my take on it.
