IBooks won't let me highlight text that is inside a table!

Hey All,
This seems really silly but when I create a table inside iBooks author and preview it on my iPad, I cannot select text inside the table to highlight, search, or make notes on. It's just a static table. In the book I'm creating, there is so much info inside tables that students will want to highlight and use as study cards so I've got to find a workaround. I know you can highlight text added inside a shape and I've thought about making a bunch of rectangles and fitting the text in there but it's much more work for me and seems like a "mickey mouse" way of doing things. Does anyone have any better solutions I could try?

Try deleting it and redownloading. If that doesn't work, try using the Report a Problem link on your receipt.

If you are using Photoshop from within iPhoto the following may help with the workflow. However, we do need to know the answers to the questions posed by Terence and Larry to be able to help you.
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
With Photoshop Elements the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always. In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:

Note 1: to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.
Note 2: editing a RAW file with either PSE or PS creates a new file which must be saved outside of iPhoto, i.e. the Desktop, and imported as a new photo into the iPhoto Library.

Why has it stopped letting me highlight text

For some reason my powerbook g4 has stopped letting me highlight text with the mouse completely does anybody know why or even how to fix this as i'm at a complete loss...... i know its trivial but i'm a mac newbie after decades of microsoft brain-washing

Ok so its me! i had changed what i thought was the window background colour to white and it was actually the highlight colour...... so it turned out it was highlighting its just you couldn't see it! sorry for wasting everybodies time

IBooks won't let me read a book

I downloaded iBooks and bought a book on iTunes. It says that it would have gone straight to my iBooks and it has. However it won't let me read the book and says the format is incorrect or not a format that iBooks can open. Any ideas of help?

InD4 - Won't let me put text up to the page edge - need to apply a header! Help!

I am trying to put a text box at the top of my document to use as a header - something I've done hundreds of times before. But, this time, when I add a text box, and add text, it's like there's an invisible object there with a text wrap applied, and it won't let me put my text to the top of the page.
For info: the text box options are set to align text at the top, and to ignore text wrap on any other objects. I've tried selecting all to see if there was something there that i was missing and needed to delete - no luck. Even tried shutting down InDesign, reopening, and starting a new document - it does the same thing on the new document.
It's a space about an inch wide, that extends from one side of the page to the other - but just on the top - I can place text all the way to the edge of the page on the sides and bottom, no problem. HELP!!!!

My guess is that you have aligned your text to document grid... and your grid starst a little bit below the top of your page.... If that´s the case, you have two options to solve your problem:
1) adjust your grid´s starting point from Preferences > Grids
2) Change your paragraph style setting Align text to Grid to None, you find it at Indents and Spacing tab (or alternatively you can change it locally from control panel as well)

HT5861 iBooks won't let me sign in

I just upgraded to Mavericks and was checking out the iBooks app. It transferred my current collection of books on itunes at this computer, but won't let me sign in to the app with my id. It won't even present the window or page to input my id and password. It just updated to version 1.0.1. Is anybody else having this issue?

Selection Tool Won't Let Me Resize Text Boxes?

Whenever I try to resize a text box with the selection tool, it won't allow me to resize. I tried the text tool as well, but it didn't work. I don't want to resize the text, just show text that is hidden. I'm crrently using CS4. Can someone help?

If this is really an area text, then maybe you've just hidden the bounding box. See in View menu how to show it again.

I am able to use another sim card in the phone and it work's perfectly. i do not know what else i can do, i have called apple and my service provider, i have reset my network settings and restored it on the ipod. please help!

Phone won't let me send texts to one specific number.

I recently discovered a problem with my Motorola Droid Mini phone, where it will not let me send texts to one specific number, but it will let me send texts to other numbers. I have tried rebooting my phone, deleting the number from my contacts and entering it manually, and have tried re-entering it into my contacts. None of this has worked so far, so any other suggestions would be very helpful.

Does anyone know why iBooks won't let me download a new purchase?

I am frustrated for some reason I cannot download from iBooks. I have over 20 books and for some reason it will not let me purchase a new book. I downloaded a sample but cannot get the entire book. Has anyone had this problem?

Mr. MJ, I know that. I'm not trying to download ibooks or a book on ibooks onto my computer. I'm trying to purchase a book from within the ibooks APP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do I switch from 1 page format to 2 page format? ibooks won't let me switch back to 2 page after I clicked on 1 page format.

I had clicked on 1 page format on one of the books I have in my library. Since doing this, it won't allow me to click back to 2 page format. Under the view tab, when i scroll down to that area, 1 page is in black with a check mark next to it, and 2 page format is in gray which usually indicates that this sinot an option. I tried removing the check next to 1 page format, but it doesn't seem to help. I would appreciate feedback on resolving this.
