IBooks Wont Open PDFs

I installed ibooks and synced a pdf file using itunes.The Pdf file will not open I have tried unistalling, rebotting, and restoring. the file shows up on the bookshelf but when I click it the only thing it does is get highlighted it doesnt open and crash it just gets highlited.

Did you pruchase the iBooks app a long time ago? Presently iBooks requires
Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.

I bought a book on ibooks and it wont open.
I had no problem reading it a few days ago, but ever since it prompted me to enter my icloud username and password, it doesnt work anymore. VERY ANNOYING. I should have just bought it on amazon and used the kindle app.
I tried deleting and redownloading it, but it keeps asking for my icloud password over and over again.

Just installed ios 6, ibooks wont open

i have just installed iOS 6 and ibooks and anz wont open, i had a problem whilst updating and had to restore. now this...

I was having the same problem with ibooks crashing every time I tried to open it after updating to iOS 6 (even without problems while updating). I just deleted it from my iPad and reinstalled from the app store, and now it works perfectly. It also reappeared with all of my books.

Ibooks no opening pdfs

After I installed the itunes update and synced my ipad I have not been able to open pdf or books on my ipad. When I open ibooks on my ipad the pdfs and books are their but when you click on them to open they won't open. Any ideas? I've tried updating ibooks, deleting ibooks, updating and deleting itunes. I am able to open the pdf and books in my itunes, just to make sure the files were actually working and they do open. Any ideas? Seems to be an issue since I have updated itunes. By the way I really do not like the new update to itunes.

I have been experiencing this problem for over a month now. Seems a bug in iBooks. However, if I close the iBooks and then from email try to open the attachment from Email, it works. Having iBooks open gives this problem.

Adobe reader wont open.pdf files

trying to open .pdf files with latest version of abobe reader, but just get a blank Adobe reader screen and then the programme quits?

Safari wont open .pdf files. Is here a setting that interferes?

On my iPad using safari, and, with firefox on my iMac, I con open .pdf files on our club web page. However with Safari I only get a black blank when I try to open them on my iMac with Safari. FireFox works fine . Could there be a setting on Safari that is not allowing pdf files to open?

Go to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Move the Adobe PDF Browser plugin (or just PDF Browser plugin) to the Trash.
Quit then relaunch Safari to test.

Hyperlinks wont open .pdf on local machine

i can not get the links to open, it is only on my computer, it works in FF and chrome, but not ie, does it mean the links are not working or thet they just wont work on my computer in ie, but will work if i upload them to a server? thank you for looking and any help you may have for me.

One other thing is your filenames have 'spaces' in them. This is bad practice. Web servers are also case-sensitive. Normalize your filenames (use hyphens or underscores instead of spaces and use all lowercase letters).

IBooks wont open any books or complete the download

I upgraded to the latest version of iBooks about 2 weeks ago (iBooks 2) since then i have been unable to open any of my books, both downloaded from the bookstore and PDF book stored on the device.
I upgraded to the latest update of iBooks and still no luck. I've tried re-booting the device, un-installing and re-installing iBooks and still not had any luck.
I lost all my PDFs and my purchased books. I downloaded one of my purchased books from iCloud and the download never seems to complete.

Whalj99 , knave the same problem. I purchased Calico Joe before it was released and on April 4th I tried to download it and it says go to purchased. I push the purchased, and it says push the download. It will send me to the Calico Joe page and when I push download it again says go to purchased. It's one big circle and I still can not download the book. Any fixes or solutions.

Very slow times on iBooks when open PDF files after upgrading IOS 5

Hi,
After I had upgraded my ipad 1 to the new iOS 5 every time that I open a PDF file inside iBooks it takes, at least, one minut. After it works fine and I don't have special problems when I'm reading but on finishing it and returning to the library it takes one other minute. It's annoying!!
Inside the library I have about 200 pdf files.
Before my upgrading all worked fine!
Anyone has any suggestions?

Usually related to file associations in Windows. Right click on the PDF and select the Open With option and select Acrobat. Be sure to check "always open with."

Updated to Adobe Reader XI and now it wont open PDFs

I'm running Windows XP and updated from Adobe Reader 9 to XI. Firefox required the update. I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall XI, but I still get the same error. I have included the screencaps of the errors. Anyone else have any ideas of things I could try or why it might be giving me this error? I'm opening the PDFs from the file on my desktop. I have tried both double clicking the file and right clicking and hitting open.

Getting Firefox 4 to Save Tabs On Exit Again
So when Firefox 3.6 came out, wrote a post get new tabs to open at the end like they used to (my personal preference). Today with the release of Firefox 4, it seems they have disabled the “Do you want to save tabs for next time Firefox starts?” message. Here’s how you get it back:
1) Open Firefox
2) Type into the address bar “about:config” – without the quote marks – and press enter
3) If prompted click the button marked “I’ll be careful, I promise” – This won’t be harmful to your system as long as you don’t go randomly clicking around
4) In the filter bar type “browser.showQuitWarning” and press enter
5) There should only be one item in the list, double click it to set it to true (It will go bold)
6) Try closing Firefox with multiple tabs open, and enjoy.

I really don’t know why this is now turned off by default, this is a regression to Firefox 2, when everything else about Firefox 4 is awsome.
Update: If the above dosn’t fix your problems right away, use the same method to set the following values: to true (if they aren’t already):

browser.warnOnRestart

101.3 wont open pdf online

ever sence i up graded to 101.3 pdf online will keep stop opening files on line. last time it happened i did an update and it fixed the issue. this time no such luck... any help would be great.thank u in advance

1. The exact behavior which you are seeing while opening any online PDF. Are you getting some error message or a blank page?
2. The browser you are using to view the PDF
3. If the following option in Adobe Reader is checked or not:
"Display PDF in browser" (Edit > Preferences > Internet)

Wont open pdf files, print, and lags excessively

pdf files show url but a completely black screen. when I hit Ctrl P, no print box comes up, nothing print. LAG. Worst ever! AND so many disabled add-ons. It wiped out my printer.

Cannot open PDFs in browser in IE from Search Center

SharePoint 2013 Enterprise, 2WFE, 2App, 1SQL
[ISSUE]
We have a problem with opening PDF files from search results in IE. I can open PDFs in the browser with Chrome and Firefox in all site collections as well as search results. If using IE10, I can open PDFs in browser everywhere except
the Search results page. Also, if I right click on a document in search results, and click "Open in new tab" or "Open in new window", then the pdf opens up in browser just fine. If I copy the URL and paste it into the address
box, the document will also open in browser with no problem.
The only way that the browser tries to open a pdf document in the client is when you click on the document directly in Search results. All other ways of opening the file yield the right result.
We really need PDFs to open in browser in IE. Please help.

I set the Web Application Browser File Handling to Permissive from Central Administration.
I specified for files to open in the browser in Search Center preferences accessible from the bottom of the search results page.
I verified that "application/pdf" is an AllowedInlineDownloadedMimeType
The Office Web Apps settings were modified to open PDFs in the default PDF reader rather than OWA.
