Ibooks wont show my pdf files!!

Hello, I am using the latest itunes on Windows 7 and I have an iPad 2 with iOs7... Ive been trying manually add my pdf library to the iBooks app on my device trough iTunes, process that in the past was quite easy. The thing is that I can still do this, but this time the books would be on my device (or at least that is what see when I explore the content of my iPad through iTunes) but when i open the iBooks app: NOTHING!... it just doesnt show my pdf files even though I know they are there, Ive tried deleting them and adding them again, Ive also had the problem of iTunes freezing completely "syncing genius data - waiitng for items to copy"... does anyone know if these two issues are related? what can i do? is there a way to look for corrupyed files or something like that on ipad?... PLEASE HELP, I AM GOING NUTS!

I had the exact same problem. I bought some PDF ebooks and they showed on the iBooks Mac app but not on my iPad or iPhone. I looked in iTunes and I have select the books to sync on my iPad due to my iPad being filled up with tons of stuff. Anyway the newer PDF ebooks were not there. I tried stopping starting sync, sync over USB and various combinations of starting and stopping itunes and iBooks.
What finally worked is I removed the PDF ebooks from iBooks, renamed the PDF files and ensured I had the .pdf extension, readded to iBooks and then they appeared in iTunes for my iPad to select and then sync. Hope that works for you as well. I got this idea as someone mentioned a naming hint that was more related to the extension but that didn't work but when I deleted, changed the entire name and then readded to iBooks all good

Im at a webpage that lists 200 links to PDF children's books. Yesterday I clicked DTA from this page and it showed all of the PDF files. Now when I try that today it doesnt show any PDF files. However, when I click on one of the links from the first page and then use DTA, the PDF files are seen. Why did it change and why can't I select all the PDF files from the original index page? I upgraded to the newest Firefox, downgraded to an older version, and reinstalled DTA twice. Thanks in advance for any help!!

How to show a pdf file in bi publisher report

Hi All,
We need to show a pdf file as report which was saved in a given location. How to call that pdf file as report. We need to give a hyperlink in the report and when we click on the report the pdf file should be displayed.
When we open a report, there will be just hyperlinks to call serveral reports. When we click on each link , one should call a pdf saved in a particular location.

In Word, if you have set the borders on then you should see them in the output. In Word it has a setting to let you see 'gridlines' even if they are not set ie you have turned the borders off. Highlight the table and set all the borders on and re-try. If that fails, try building the table from scratch and copy the cell contents across to the new table

How to show the pdf file into the UIWebView from iphone documents directory?

I am working on web services right now I am getting string into base64 format. After decoding that string into NSData i am saving that data as a pdf into Document directory of iphone. Now the problem is that when I want to show the pdf into UIwebView then it is showing blank page. But when I am checking into /Users/pareshkarnawat/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/4.3.2/Applications/ the pdf file is correctly generated and working fine when I ope it.
How to show that pdf file into UIwebview ? or is there any alernative for this.
Any ideas on how I can go about this? I have looked at a few posts and still can't seem to figure it out.

TS1702 iBooks won't load PDF files any more on my Ipad2. Anybody seen this one before?

iBooks won't load PDF files any more.
I have a lot of PDF files so I thought I reached a maximum number of files or space so I deleted a lot of old files but this did not help.
I rebooted, synced, updated, restarted, etc. - everything that I can think of and I still have the same problem.
I don't remembered the last file that I loaded into iBooks, as I usually put them into collections.
I can still load PDF files into other applications like PDF Reader, but I prefer to have them all in iBooks.
Anybody seen this one before?
I have 64GB iPad2 and I have over 14GB free space.

There have been several threads on this topic over the last few weeks. It's not clear what the issue is, and it is not universal, but tend to effect users storing large numbers of PDFs in iBooks. Possible it has some thing to dowith capacity of the app, or specific characteristics of some of the PDFs.

IBooks wont show my ebooks!

For some reason after syncing my ebooks to my ipod touch 2g running ios4, they wont show up in the ibooks app. I have them all checked off to enable syncing and all the books checked off but, they just wont show up! Help?

I could not load the correct iBook app direct to my iPod touch 2gen. But using iTunes on my PC, I was directed to the correct iBook app from Apple. After installing it direct showed the already loaded pdf files as books. It is great to see how this oldie can be used to read books. I do have OS4.1

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Delete iBooks and reinstall
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order

My illustrator files are showing as pdf files. how do i fix this?

all the pdf files of my computer are showing as illustrator file. and its not just the icon the extention has also changed into .aif. i have tried to change it thorough property>browse. but as soon as i change it to pdf all other the illustrator files of my computer has changed into pdf . what do i do? i work saving same file with .ai extention and .pdf entention , so it's really difficult for me if they change in to one. how do i fix this? please suggest me something.

Pictures not showing on PDF file

I have converted a word file into a PDF file, my original file included some logos and pictures, the pictures came out okay, but the logos are not showing. All you can see is the frame with a small square with an X on one of the corners. Can you assist me in resolving this issue? Thank You.

Ibooks changes name of pdf file

When I open a pdf file in ibooks it sometimes changes the name to a bunch of characters nothing like the name of the pdf file. how do I fix this?

Saving the PDF to a set name is considered a security concern by Adobe. In order to achieve it you would need a trusted function, inside a JavaScript file. This .js file would be in a set folder on EVERYONE'S computer. This makes it difficult to deploy and maintain.

Why won't Safari show Skydrive pdf files under ios 6

Like a number of others, I posted on the MS Skydrive forum
viz: I notice that when I try to access the pdf files on my skydrive, there will be an error message written as follows "Unable to display "my_pdf_file_name" in this browser. Check your browser settings to see if you have a PDF plugin installed and enabled. If you have a PDF viewing application, you can download the file and open it from your computer" However, when i click download, nothing happens.
I have to share a set of documents via Skydrive and the email link I send opens safari (Ios 6) and bingo! The pdf files cannot be opened and nor do they download.

After testing it has been found that the cause of this is the way Safari handles 3rd party cookies. This is not an issue with SkyDrive but instead Safari iteslf. Other websites have the PDF as an attachment allowing it to just open, where SkyDrive has security that must be passed. Safari is not allowing this cookie/script to run and preventing. So, this will need to be an Apple resolution.
Can someone at Apple resolve this or come up with a sensible workaround please?

You can open them natively in the app or after they've opened save them into iBooks, or any other App that may be able to open them.

Images won't show in pdf file

I create a file in Publisher and insert images as .gif files (have also saved as .jpeg). No problem. But as soon as I convert them over to pdf the image is replaced by a gray box. Now if I print the pdf file the images show and print just fine. Why would they change during conversion? Also this just started today. When I left work on Friday my images were just fine in pdf. The only thing I was attempting to do was adjust the display preferences so the pages started out smaller rather than zoomed out to 151%, which it was defaulting too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
