HI,
This error applies to when something other than iChat has cut the chat.
If using Ethernet at one end and the cable was pulled so that there was not internet during the chat that you would get this message.
Same with a WiFI issue.
Same also applies if your router has some "Protection" Features that kick in when high levels of data are received.
(iChat can outstrip most Video Streaming sites if internet connection between you and your Buddy is in the Tens of Mbps)
If your router has DoS or SPI "Protection" then turn it off.
One possible "Fix" with iChat/Messages is to go to the Application Menu > Preferences > Video Section > Bandwidth Limit and set it to 500kbps
This is fast enough for 3 and 4 way Video Chats but below the threshold for DOS on most routers.
NOTES
1-1 Audio chat is about 48kkbps (Dial-up real world top rate)
1-1 Screen Share is about 128kbps to 150kbps (About min for 1-1 video)
1-1 Video requires a real world speed of about 256kbps in both Up and Download streams
4 way Video needs at least 384kbps but prefers upwards of this.

When I download a new app from the App Store it does not show up on my home screen but I can find it in my settings but out from it says no data

When I download a new app from App Store and press open when it's complete, it won't do anything, and when I look on my home screens it's nowhere to be found but if I go to settings and look under icloud and usage, I can find them but out from it says no data. I have tried deleting them and reinstalling but that's no working either... Please help me.. Thank you very much:)

Try resetting the phone. Push both the home and lock button at the same time until it goes off. Keep them pushed until the Apple logo come up...
Also, try deleting the app and downloading it again.

If you have a graphic of iTunes and a cable displayed on your iDevice then it is in Recovery mode.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
It sounds like you have failed to do this, which is not good at all.
You will have to transfer your itunes purchases from your iphone. Authorize your computer for your itunes account
About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization
Open itunes, plug in iphone, do NOT sync, click File>Transfer Purchases
When you do sync you will lose your pics ( photo library - synced from your old computer), your itunes content ( music, apps, videos,etc) , your contacts and your calendars. So do NOT sync yet. This is why a backup copy is so important.
Enter one unique contact and calendar entry on your computer.
When you first sync, you should get the option to merger the data. Choose it.
If you want your pics, then you will need to e-mail them to yourself before you sync. They will not be of the original quality as they are reduced when synced to iphone.
When all is as goos as it can be, then backup your computer, and always maintain the backup.

The easiest AND quickest way would be to reset the iPad and start over.
Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset.

Printer says "sending data..." and doesn't print (photosmart c440 & macbook pro snow leopard)

Hi, my photosmart C440 printer suddenly stopped working and wont print. The message says "Sending data..." forever but never prints. The printer is on but doesn't respond to what my computer says. I have a macbook pro snow leopard OS. This has never happened before, I didn't make any changes to the system. When the problem first appeared, I reinstalled the driver and was able to print once, then it stopped working. Then I installed snow leopard and it stil doesn't work.

Let's reset the printing system:
- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

DBI dashboards say no data found

Hello, I've done most of the dbi setup process and run the request set for HR Management - Headcount Reports. But when I try to view the dashboard it says No data found. What could I be doing wrong? Am I using the wrong parameters to run my request sets? Should I bounce the apache server? Please help.

That is how it works in general, not just for Numbers. It irritates me on other apps at times, although I can see an argument that if it didn't do that then people would complain about missing functionality after they forgot they had turned data off for an app. At any rate, this is a user to user support forum and we can't do anything about it. I'm having the same problem with my AT&T iPhone 4.
After installing ios5, WiFi was greyed out in settings. I turned my phone off and back on, and wifi was back. It saw my 2 routers, and allowed me to input my WEP passwords for them, but then, when I went to an app that used wifi, Safari, it wouldn't connect, and listed "Not Connected" Going back into WiFi prefs, it appeared to be searching for networks, but didn't find any. Not my 2, nor any of the neighbors. I usually see 3-4 networks other than my own.
Turn it off and on again, WiFi greyed out again.
Reset all settings - Wifi back, but with the same results as the first time.
Reset network settings - Wifi still greyed out.
I see this has happened at other new iOS releases, but never to me. Hopefully there will be a patch soon. I do have unlimited data, but dang 3G is slow.
I'm going to back up my phone this morning, and do a restore to factory settings, and see what that does, besides totally screw up all my apps.

Aha! A bit more searching and I found the answer that just fixed it for me.
Press Menu and the Back arrow at the same time until a broken chain icon appears on the top left of the screen.
Let them go....
Press Menu and Right arrow (forward arrow) until a "fixed" or "whole" chain appears.
This enabled my apple tv to once again respond and get off the "setting time and date" screen.
Hope it works for you.

This vexed me for a long time. Now we finally have a fix!
All credit goes to Ed Gainer, our Network Admin.
Version update 5.2.1 (6025) seems to have changed the way its searches for time. According to the Apple website’s list of ports used by Apple, the time protocol NTP would normally communicate via TCP or UDP. This was the case in previous versions, but when the update for 5.2.1 was introduced, the Apple TV displayed a “Searching for Time and Date” indicator upon restart. The only remedy was to select “Menu” on the Apple Remote. At that point, the main menu now only displayed “Computers” and “Settings” options. All the icons for other online content options such as YouTube, HuluPlus, Vimeo, etc. were missing.
After running a packet trace the ports, NTP (123), DNS (53) and ports 49152 – 65535 were used in booting the Apple TV. After some trial and error it appears that the Apple TV is searching for the time via the NTP protocol through UDP. When port 123 was opened in the firewall over TCP/UDP it still did not communicate. The solution was to specifically indicate the NTP protocol over UDP. Keeping the NTP protocol specified via TCP is also recommended.
The resolution to this problem was to create a service group for Apple including the following services.
