Ic Mp3 Voice Recorder - silver not black

Hi,  I have an Ic Mp3 Voice Recorder (I can't read the sub-model as it’s too faded) though it is a silver Ic recorder.  It worked great till last week. Now when I download any recordings they show up as normal (ex: one shows as 177, 661KB and one shows 14,191KB). They are both clearly there, but when I play them back I hear no sound. Is there any way I could have accidently “muted” the device???

Hello WGB,
Without knowing the model number of your recorder its very difficult to know what might be going on. There should be a reset button the on device that should move all your settings back to default. This would ensure any setting that may have changed to cause this would be reverted back to normal.

  • Voice Recording is not GOOD in PLAYBACK NOKIA6300

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    To Whom It May Concern
    With all due respect,
i would like to inform you that 5 days ago my father bought a brand new Nokia 6300 (with Advance Telecom's Warranty). Interestingly the mobile
set has some manufacturing fault by Nokia that its Voice Recording featuer doesn't provide you the gud quality (while you listen it back from
the Recordings folder).Even i checked Nokia 6300 phone's voice recodings by transferring them to my Nokia 6230i and they were as loudly as i
increased the volume but when i transferred my nokia 6230i's recorded voice recordings into nokia 6300 the result was again the same VERY LOW
VOICE that YOU NEED TO KEEP THE PHONE'S SPEAKER CLOSE TO YOUR EAR TO LISTEN VOICE RECORDINGS.
The retialer on our special request
checked out our reported problem of very low sound while listening back the Vocie Reocrdings from Nokia 6300 on an other brand new Nokia 6300
Set, "stating that it is nokia's manufacturing style that you can't listen the voice recodings loudly from you nokia 6300 mobile set".
It is unbelievable for me being a Nokia lover n user for over 8 years that none of the earlier nokia mobile phones had this is sort of problem
    of low voice recordings' playback.
My Question and Request from you only is That "Do u have the Nokia Dristributors or We the Nokia User/Consumers have the rights to companin
back to nokia regarding this sort of problems"?.
Looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible to you.

  • Sony MP3 Voice Recorder

I bought a Sony MP3 Recorder about a week before buying the MacBook as I was attending a seminar and wanted to not be too distracted by note taking. I have since discovered that I can't download the voice cuts to the MacBook to edit. I also note that Sony doesn't support Mac OSx. Does anyone know if there is some software/freeware/shareware that allows me to connect the Reorder to the USB port and view the cuts for transfer into iTunes or Garage Band for editing?
    Cheers

I don't know if this will work with your Sony.
It's made for Creative products, but works with others also.Give it a try.
Worst case,it won't work and you can just uninstall the software.

  • Converting mp3 voice recording to ulaw

I am trying to take some voice over recordings that are in mp3 format and convert them to 8bit, 8khz, mono wav files or ulaw or alaw which i believe is the format used in the phone system.  Every time i export to a file with those settings, 8bit, 8khz, mono, i get a lot of static.  What am i doing wrong?

Probably nothing - it's an 8-bit file so it will have a much higher noise floor than you're used to - and it will seem even worse because it has a limited frequency response as well. At 6.02dB/bit, it can't ever have a noise floor lower than about 48dB - rather worse than a cassette recording!
With files like this, you have to optimise your audio before you save it to such a restricted format. This generally means some compression to keep the dynamic range down, and then normalizing the results to 0dB to use as much of the restricted range as you can. And no, there is absolutely no way around this at all - it's the Laws of Physics you're up against here.

  • When I make a call, I can hear the person on the other end but they can't hear me. It's not the mic, I use the voice recorder all the time and I have no problems w FaceTime. My headphones and Bluetooth do the same thing as far as not being able to be hea

When I make a call, I can hear the person on the other end but they can't hear me. It's not the mic bc face time or voice recorder are not affected. I can't even use my headphones or Bluetooth to get around the problem. This has stumped 2 geniuses, they just try to swap it out for $150.

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 4. I can hear everyone but they can't hear me. Visited Apple Store and they said speakers were out, both bottom mic and top one for speaker phone. Said they were busted. Reloaded all software and didn't work. Got in parking lot and worked for 1 call. Now it's out again. Wanted $150 for new phone, haven't done it yet. don't know what to do.

  • Does the iPad 3 gen, have a voice recorder?

Does the iPad 3rd gen with retina display, have a voice recorder?

Not as a built in app - no it does not. If you need a voice recorder, you will have to download an app from the App Store. An app like Quick Voice Recorder.

  • IPod Touch - voice recorder ...?

I've been hearing a bit of buzz around the hacker(s) who built an external device that plugs into the iPod Touch and records sound.
The reason I came across this info, is because I'm looking to purchase a digital voice recorder as a christmas gift for my boyfriend (who owns already owns a Touch). He once had a 3rd-party device that attached to his older iPod, that allowed him to record. With all this hacking going on, does anyone know if apple or other companies are already in the works of developing such a product? In this case, my idea for purchasing a (sony/ olympus...) voice recorder is not so exciting. I'm sure he rather have the extra piece to stick into his iPod Touch, rather than carrying around a clunk of gadgets. Anyone know of such plans? Is this a few years away? or coming up sooner than I imagine?
    Thanks for your thoughts!

thanks VIP- but I don't think I'll be buying parts for marion to build for me. Even if it means spending a lot more on a brand, I just feel more comfortable purchasing the actual released product.
Or, since so many people are writing up on eok & marion, maybe I'll keep watching over the next week or two to see if people have been using it.
Is this device risky? Is there a chance of it screwing up the iPod?

  • Why I have to mute Audio Voice Recording Track always in order to subdue the voice recorded when I want to solo other tracks, audio or midi for listening. The other audio tracks don't sound without being muted. Please advise how to deal with this .Thanks

Why I have to mute the Audio Voice recording track  ( the first voice track ) always in order to sudue its recorded sound while I want to listen to other
tracks ( either audio or midi tracks ) in solo ?The other audio tracks with voice recording do not have to be muted in order not to  interfere with other
tracks turned on solo. Can someone kindly explain this phenomenon and any way to fix this ?
    Thanks
    Dan

    Thanks, ATR,
I wll try this--but I still am unclear on how to do what the Manual says is possible: select clips on another track that WILL be moved, if I so desire, so as to remain synched to the main Video track.
    UPDATE:
In the case of inserting Freeze Frame, I just tried both Ctrl method and Alt method, and neither worked.
    1. Put Video on Vid1 track
    2. Put Music on Sound Track
    3. Ran a few seconds of Vid
    4. Stopped Vid, selected Freeze Frame
    5. Held down Ctrl key while clicking "Insert in Movie"  also tried with holding down Alt key.
Result: a 3 second still was inserted int the Vid1 track.  A corresponding gap was created in the Sound Track.
    6. Slid the final part of the Sound Track to the left along the timeline to re-connect it to the next segment created by the above process.
Result: the video following the final Freeze Frame was pushed to the right end of  Video1 track.
    7. Slid the Sound Track all the way to the left.
Result: the entire Video 1 Track contents were pushed to the right and divided in pieces.
I documented each step with screen shots which I can send if you want them and if I can figure out how to do it.
    UPDATE #2
In the case of inserting a video clip to the Timeline, I just tried both Ctrl method and Alt method, and neither worked.
    1. Locate video in Project Assets
2a. R click video in Project Assets (pull-down menu appears), hold down Ctrl, click Insert to Timeline.
Result: Vid clip is inserted on Video 1 track, Sound Track is separated with a corresponding gap.
2b.  R click video in Project Assets (pull-down menu appears), push Alt
Result: pull-down menu disappears as soon as Alt is pushed down.
I can stil drag the Vid clip but it's one more manual step...I love shortcuts!!

  • Built in voice recording on the 3GS

Does anyone know if the sound files created by the Apple recording app are downloadable to a computer?
    Thanks

The ability to voice record is not supported on the iPhone at this time. You may make the suggestion to Apple by following this link:

  • Voice Recording - Ipod Nano 3rd Gen

    Hi,
Recently, i saw a mini microphone in the market. At the back of the packaging, it said "This accessory is compatible with iPhone, iTouch, iPod Nano and iPod Classic by installing iTalk Recorder or Easy Recorder".
The dealer had confired that it can be used on iPod 3rd Gen so i was so excited that my ipod finally has voice recording function. I'd downloaded both app with iTune but it cant be sync/installed to my iPod Nano...
Can anyone pls assist me on this critical issue because i need a 2-in-1 mp3+voice recorder?

Thank you for the reply, however, I'm using APPLE; 10.5..... op system.  I have been using this ipod with this APPLE comp for  a few years--- I read somewhere that the mobile device could be auto turned off somehow.  If I DO follow the directions for the uninstall..do I lose all my songs, etc when I put the itune.app in the trash and re-install?

  • Audio/Voice Recorder for iPod [video] classic 160 GB Silver 6th Generation?

Hi, I'm looking for a voice recorder for my iPod, but I'm not sure which ones are compatible with my version, and which one is best.
i.e. Belkin TuneTalk, Griffin iTalk, etc. (I don't know which one is compatible, and then which one is best.)
This is the iPod I have:
Apple iPod classic 160 GB Silver (6th Generation)
    http://www.amazon.com/Apple-iPod-classic-Silver-Generation/dp/B000JO7RVC
I've been doing research on the matter, but due to conflicting reports, I am left in ultimate confusion.
So I thought it would be best to ask the experts.
    Thanks!

    tunetalk & classic: No way.
I am having endless trouble with Belikin Tunetalk stereo & IPOD classics.
I've asked Belkin & Apple & had nothing useful.
background: Been using Belkin tunetalk stereos (2) with 2 Ipod 5G (video) for more than a year. They work ok: [given the well know issues of harddrive noise picked up with internal microphones.]
Two modes available: "low" 22050 MONO & "high" 44100 Stereo
Had a ipod die on me, so upgraded to classics.
Recorded away, got nothing but 44100 MONO. Not supposed to be able to do this mode. & since I was recording TWO channels, I lost data. Belkin site says for classics only with the lastest software".
I've reflashed the ipods multiple times I one ipod records only mono (BLACK), the other (SILVER) records about 1 in 10 mono. Of course you can't tell till you're done whether you're going to get mono or stereo!
As iDude80n said about asking experts? Any one know if I go buy TWO MORE ipods, eg nanos, will these things actually work? Will post as separate question.

  • Is there a voice recording app for ipad that shares directly via iMessage (not just email) - like voice memos does on iphone?

Does any-one perhaps know whether there's a voice recording app for ipad that shares directly via iMessage (not just email) - like voice memo does on iphone?

You can't do anything in the background of iOS. Apps are still one at a time (with a few exceptions like Music), and suspend when the app is closed. It's also against the App Store guidelines to sell apps that would allow such actions.
Though, maybe you could get your Voice Memos saved to MP3's, which can play in the background of other apps.

  • How can you create a voice recording and save it as an mp3?

I want to create a voice recording and save it as an mp3.  How can I do that on the MAC?  Right now I can only think of recording the voice in iMovie, but it does not have a choice to save as an mp3.

Rather that iMovie, you may want to check our Audacity.
It's a free, open-source audio editor and recorder.
You can easily save a recording as an MP3.

SOLVED plugin to charger solved it - so problem was with contacts -- no idea why - phone is new - no water - no havy dust - usual using
    hope will never return. Thanks

We checked it with an iPhone 5 in house multiple times and could not reproduce this Problem. Must be something specific to your device. Maybe your speakerphone volume is turned down completely?
