IC Nav Bar button for Complaint Dispute transaction
Hello Experts,
We're trying to create a nav bar button to start the Complaint Dispute transaction. We're able to get the button to work when we do not have any confirmed business partners. However when we do have confirmed business partners we get a pop-up asking us to "Select Transaction Type" - however no transactions are presented to select. In this pop-up, the F2 component is BTFOLLOWUP and the view is BTFOLLOWUP/ProcType.
Our logical link on the Nav Bar is defined as below:
Logical Link: ID ZC_BT_COM
Type: Work Center
Target ID: TBT120MIPC
Parameter: ZMDC
Parameter Class: CL_CRM_IC_NAV_BTCREATE
Icon Name:
Title: Invoice Dispute Test
Description: IC Invoice Dispute Test
Any suggestions would greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Tom Halloran
Hi,
have you added the transaction type to the IC-Customizing "Business transaction profile" ?
This could be the cause.
If not authorization issue could be also the cause for the empty selection popup.
Trace for missing authorizations with a ST01 trace.
good luck.
Best regards

Nav bar buttons don't work when imported to Dreamweaver
I've always created these and now they don't work...
Export a ping with multiple buttons as HTML and images.
Import to Dreamweaver as Image Object > Fireworks HTML.
The buttons are recognized as buttons, but the rollover states don't show. Any ideas why?Amy,
YouTube is for video, and a video is by definition non interactive, so this is a normal behavior. Only SWF and HTML5 output can be interactive, not video output .

Hi
I am currently making a website and I have created a nav bar
in fireworks using slices and pop-up menus etc. Anyway I have
imported it to my website in Dreamweaver, but I cant figure out how
to make a hyperlink from the from down and nav bar buttons to the
corresponding page. Do I make the links in Fireworks? If so, how?
In Dreamweaver also how?
Any help much appreciated, thanks.It would be easiest to add the hyperlinks in Fireworks, which
you can do in the pop-up menu editor (same place you entered the
text for the buttons).
If you wanted to add the links in Dreamweaver you'd have to
do it in source-code view. Search for the text that you entered for
the button name, and Fireworks should have entered a pound/hash
symbol (#) for your link (don't quote me on that though). Replace
that with your page link and you should be good to go.
Someone should be along shortly to tell you that the
Fireworks menus suck though, so stand by for that. -
Need help with linking text to nav bar please
Basically, i designed a layout in photoshop7.0. I sliced it
all, but left areas for where i wanted to type in text, then saved
for web and opened it up in dreamweaver 8. The thing is, i dont
know how to write the text in the area i left empty and it only
shows when i click a certain nav bar. I usually use iframes, but
this isnt gonna' be iframe friendly !!
Just to reiterate, i know how to type in the boxes, just dont
know how to link them to the nav bar buttons..
Any help would be appreciated,
Kind Regards,
Shyam Tanna.This tutorial will show you how to do what you want.

Suppression of nav bars (chrome) in web-content overlays
We've started to experiment with creating interactive content within folios, using web content overlays and HTML5/AJAX.
Problem is the nav bars/chrome (whatever you want to call them) in Adobe Viewer pop up constantly, and unpredictably - for instance, the chrome will appear the *first* time an HTML button is clicked, but not on subsequent occasions. For other <div> elements that have onclick handlers attached, the nav always seems to appear.
Does anyone have any insight into possible ways of suppressing the nav bars completely for web-content user interaction? Judging by the behaviour of HTML buttons, it seems there has been some effort put into this on Adobe's part, but some concrete insight would be brilliant.
Cheers,
David (Boto Media).I have already come across these "solutions".
I am on v27 and have been since its release.
I have tried method number one. It partially works however it is buggy. When the overlay initially loads, it flashes the Twitter URL before showing the feed in the overlay frame on the article. Additionally, it sometimes flashes back and forth from the Twitter Feed's URL and displaying the feed itself. This, for me is not a wholly valid solution but it will do for now since the only thing that remotely works. I suspect the URL flash has alot to do with the network connectivity of the device one is viewing the feed on. However, to flash that URL before the feed loads makes the overlay appear buggy.
And the second method most definitely crashes ID ever single time I attempt to preview the overlay either on desktop or iPad. And I have tried this method on several different machines, thinking it was my copy of ID. It still crashes upon preview, so mehtod two is not a valid solution at all, unless there is something special that needs to be in the HTML file (besides the twitter widget) for it to not crash ID, that I am unaware of.
Thank you for your assistance. -
ITunes Connect Custom Nav Bar App Rejection
Apple rejected our recent DPS app update based on the custom nav bar buttons that have existed for two years now in the app:
"Please remove the account registration links and any other fully qualified links to your site that could indirectly provide access to external purchases or subscriptions to be used in the app, including links to web pages for support, FAQ, product or program details."
Our custom nav buttons currently link to a digital FAQ page for iPad support and the home pages for our products. Do you know if iTunes has recently changed policies? Or if this is something that we can ask for another review?
Thanks.This isn't new. If you have links out to a website for an FAQ, that page cannot, in any way, allow your user to navigate around your site to somewhere that they can then do digital purchases.
Heck, we once had Adobe Content Viewer rejected for this reason. The "Forgot Password" link went to a page on www.adobe.com, and from there you could use the broader website navigation to go to the Adobe online store and buy stuff. ACV was rejected and we had to change the page so you couldn't navigate to other parts of the Adobe site.

Nav Bar images missing in generated help
I'm creating HTML Help using RoboHelp 70.2.001. When I view
the skin, the Nav Bar (that appears below the Main navigation bar
and above the TOC) images are present (even in Preview). But when I
generate the help, they are missing. What appears is an empty Nav
Bar - except for the close x that is right-justified.
I have created my own skin with custom images in other
regions, but have not (knowingly) modified these images. When I
click on each of them in the skin editor, a Toolbar Item - <Nav
Bar item name> dialog box displays, with the Default Image radio
button selected.
I have also tried adding different images, but with the same
results.
Suggestions?
Suggestions?Welcome to the forums.
I'm guessing you're generating either WebHelp or FlashHelp.
Which buttons show up in that bar depends on your settings. For
example, the forward and back buttons are present only if you have
a browse sequence set up. The sync button (a circular arrow) does
not appear if you have the TOC set to sync automatically. With my
settings, I get nothing but the X as well.
Hope this helps,

User exit/ BADI in f-32 / f-28 for adding application tool bar button
Hi Experts,
There is a requirement, for adding application tool bar button in the Transaction codes F-32 / F-28 / Feba_lockbox. So that while clearing documents with reference document, they can upload the data(Reference Documents) from local file and after the data is fetched for clearing, they need to download the data to local file for verification. If the data is verified to be okay, then they can go ahead with simulation and posting. They need this verification to be done in excel sheet, so need to download the data into local file.
I found a BADI in that screen is BADI_LAYER but I don't think it is relevant.
Any help is apreciated!
Is there any EXIT ? Because I can not find it too.

I have created a site with iWeb. I have replaced the iWeb Nav bar with a vertical one I made myself. Problem is, my top button disables itself (and the animation doesn't work) if it overlaps into the "hidden" nav bar area (indicated by a blue rectangle). I can cmd click and drag it into this area, but then all the rest of my site is pushed down the page. Don't know what to do about this. I don't know how to bring the rest of the page up without dragging it also into the designated nav bar area. Also, by doing this, is it affecting my site in ant way? see my site here at www.steveburrowsimages.com
The home page is with it all draged into the nav bar area and the about page is with is outside the nav bar area (notice that the top button does not animate or work as a button.
Getting confused here. Anyone got any ideas?Well, you made a good start with SEO by getting rid of the iWeb default navigation since it doesn't help the spiders and, out there in the real world, there are more people than you would think with javascript turned off in their browsers.
One of the downsides of iWeb is that it doesn't allow for the alt attribute in the img tag. Its well worth adding these to give you extra keywords even if you have captioned all your images. Use iWeb SEO Tool for this...
http://www.iwebformusicians.com/Search-Engine-Optimization/Tags.html
iWeb, just like most drag and drop software, creates a huge amount of code which causes the pages to load slowly in the browser. Running you files through an optimizer will help to reduce this problem and further reduce the size of image files even beyond the initial optimization you do before loading them into iWeb...

How to make a button stay down when I click on it in CSS nav bar.
So I have created a horizontal navigation bar, I use the CSS
Sprites/Pixy method to get the hover working with the same image as
the link/in active stage of the buttons.
Now how do I make the button stay down when someone click on
them?
These are the codes for the nav bar.
#nav{
width: 780px;
list-style: none;
margin-top: 0;
margin-right: auto;
margin-bottom: 0;
margin-left: auto;
padding: 0;
height: 40px;
#nav li{
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 14px;
font-weight: bold;
float: left;
padding: 0;
#nav a{
width: 125px;
display: block;
color: #000000;
text-decoration: none;
text-align: center;
background-image: url(ZITTO_IMAGES/button_set1a.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: center 2px;
padding-top: 14px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
background-color: #000000;
#link2,#link3,#link4,#link5,#link5,#link6 { margin-left:
6px;}
#nav a:hover{
background-image: url(ZITTO_IMAGES/button_set1a.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: center -36px;
color: #FFFFFF;
width: 125px;
padding-top: 14px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
background-color: #000000;
Everything works so far, the hover works when you roll the
mouse but when you click the button goes right back.
How can I make it stay down and then go back to normal when
you click on another link/button?
Thanks very much.
PatrickRead my suggestion again. You are missing a critical point. I
show you
exactly where to put the stylesheet. And it doesn't matter
how many
stylesheets you have on a page.

Issues when adding the Interaction centre option to Nav Bar for WebUI.
I just wanted to clarify something if I may.
Am I right in thinking that the Interaction centre can be viewed for Service, Sales and Marketing. There are standard SAP business roles for all these, being the SERVICEPRO, SALESPRO and MARKETINGPRO.
I have a new business role to be set up which is a sort of hybrid of the SALESPRO and MARKETINGPRO roles. However, what I can't determine is what displays the Interaction centre from within the Nav Bar for any of these particulat SAP roles.
In the SAP GUI we could just run transaction CIC0 and depending on the PCFG settings it would either show the Sales IC or the Marketing IC. I need to just show the marketing IC for my new Z business role, but getting the details into CRMC_UI_PROFILE and CRMC_UI_NBLINKS is proving very difficult, for me.
Has anyone done anything like this before?.
JasonHi Jason,
In spro please go to
Customer Relationship Management->UI Framework->Technical Role Definition->Define Navigation Bar Profile
1.You can create your own NavBar Profile (by making a copy of any of the existing Nav Bar Profiles) say Z_ICPRO.
2. Select your profile.
3. Then goto the node Define Profile->Assign Work Centres
New Entries
4. Here you can add IC_BPIDENT (This work centre corresponds to Account Identification), at any position you want.
5. Assign the above nav bar profile to any of the existing Business Role (or create your won Business Roles) via customizing
Customer Relationship Management->UI Framework->Business Roles-Define Business Role
5.Now when you login to web ui with the above Business Role, you should be able to see Account Identification on the WorkCentre tab!!
Hope this helps.

A few questions on making animated buttons for a website Nav
Hello, I have a few questions on creating some animated buttons for a nav.
There are 2 actions I want to trigger on moue over.
If I want to use a static (PNG) image that I created in Photoshop for the actual button, can I use that? I want to smoothly slide button down on mouse-over and slide back up on mouse off. If I push part of the button off the "canvas" (sorry, this is coming from a Photoshop guy) will it disappear in the final animation? Another way to put that is, if I put an animated element off the white area, will it no longer show up in the movie (.swf) when it's published?
For the second part; you can see a bit of what I want to do if you look at this website's top Nav: http://www.photoshopsupport.com/index.html
I need the "light" above the button and it's going to be on another colored <div> so I can't set one solid BG color for my flash document. But I want to achieve the effect of the "bar" lighting up above the button and the actual button sliding down upon moue over.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.Hi,
Regarding this button problem mentionned by kglad, it is easily overcome with a little trick.
I call this the undesired "jumpy button". Your button starts to hesitate down-back-down-back quickly, like it's a bug, and then it settles.
What you could do is create a simple sprite or movieclip containing only a simple shape, whatever the color, put it on top of your button's graphic, change this sprite/movieclip's alpha to 0, then add your mouse events on this invisible "target" instead of your graphic. So, when you mouse over, you have the graphic move, not the invisible "target".
Sometimes, for this invisible target, you will be using a movieclip, not a sprite, so you can easily add your own properties on it.
Example:
var graphicBtn:Sprite; // your png
var targetBtn:MovieClip; // your invisible target, created with code or not
targetBtn.graphics.beginFill(0x000000);
targetBtn.graphics.drawRect(0, 0, graphicBtn.width, graphicBtn.height);
targetBtn.alpha = 0;
targetBtn.mygraphic = graphicBtn;
targetBtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, onOver);
targetBtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, onOut);
addChild(graphicBtn);
addChild(targetBtn);
function onOver(event:MouseEvent):void
TweenLite.to(event.target.mygraphic, 0.25, {y:40, ease:Back.easeOut});
function onOut(event:MouseEvent):void
TweenLite.to(event.target.mygraphic, 0.25, {y:0, ease:Cubic.easeOut});
So you see, you can have only one function (well, 1 for over, 1 for out) used for all your buttons. You can add as many properties you need on your movieclip to make that one-function flexible.
Here I used GreenSock's tweening engine, but use the one you prefer (Here, I am moving the graphicBtn in y for 0.25 second).

Nav Bars and Buttons scripts...noob
Hi
New to web design and DW, I wonder what is the difference
between a nav bar and a nav button? Is it that nav bars create a
number of nav buttons of the same size all in a row (vertical or
horizontal) while a button is an individual item that goes in a
table cell?
I would like to take a table row of 5 cells, and I would like
5 navigation items that would pop out a half-dozen sub-menu items
when I hover over the nav item. Would that be a Flash button from
the Insert => Media menu? Or something from the Insert =>
Image Objects options? Or neither of these?
I have been looking around for some free DHTML code that I
could cut and paste, but everyone now seems to be using Javascript
which I do not understand. DHTML seems to be reserved for the
cheesy Ebay effects now, or simple on/off buttons in a variety of
garish colors. Does anyone have a DHTML snippet of one of these
sliding or drop-down-type menus that I could cut and paste please?
Or a link to one that doesn't require a degree in programming?
Doesn't DW offer something like what I want in its internal menus?
Perhaps I just don't know what I'm looking for?
Thanks
Philnav bar is a series of nav buttons that may or maynot be put
into tables.
I usually use fireworks to create java nav bars because is
creates all the code for you and you just drop it into DW, BUT
while it is functional and easy, it is a mess and takes some
getting used to and starting over (again and again) to get the code
as clean as possible. I am just learning how to do it in CSS and it
is way cleaner, easier to experiment with and you don't have to
deal with all the little images, java, tables or cells.
here are some resources if you want to go this way:

(training videos - very very very good)
