IC Webclient - Changing values in Text Type -Log in view IRecReason.htm

Hi,
I m working on IRecReason.htm view, in the right hand side corner there is a place to add comments, the field is named as text types. All comments are then stored & visible in the Field named as "LOG" which is also one of the valus in the drop down. All the dropdown values are maintained in Spro Text Management. I want to remove one of the fields form the the 'LOG' any pointers will be of great help.

Smartview 11.1.2.5- Cannot change value in Text-List Dropdowns- Excel Crashes

Using latest/greatest Smartview with 64-bit Office and Windows 7. I have a native essbase app utilizing text-lists. I am trying to update text-value through smartview. Smartview automatically produces a drop down to select a value from the linked text-list. However- as soon as a different value is entered or selcted in this cell with the drop-down list- Excel crashs. I have reproduced this consistently everytime. I have no way to change values for text-measure accounts linked to text-lists. I feel this is and incompatabiliyt issue with office 64-bit.

SmartView using the forms. It appears this issue has been logged as issue number 6566082 as seen here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/readme/sv_1112200_readme.html
But I can't seem to find out where I can get information on the status of this issue and whether it's been patched in future versions.

Text Type (short - long) in F4 selection help (web)

How can I change the the text type (short - medium - long) in the F4 help for a variable on the web? Currently the short text is always displayed and I want to show the medium text.
I had the idea the setting 'text type' (in rsa1\infoobject maintenance\ tab bex) is responsible for this, but changing this setting has no effect. I also tried to change this in the query designer (infobject properties \ display as), again without result.
The query is based on an InfoSet.

Hi, you can try to change the transfer rules setting matching the medium text from the source system to the long text in the infoObject and then change the infoObject text properties. I have the same problem with the infoObject with only the short and medium description. In the F4 i can have only the short description.

Change value of condition in SD pricing procedure

Dear All,
I have requirement to change value of condition type in SD pricing procedure. Example: the value calculated by SAP in pricing procedure (up to the step) is 123, but i want to change this value to 100 sothat the next step in pricing procedure can use this value (i mean 100). Please let me know how to do this. Does routine in SAP solve this.

Thanks for your reply. However, I try to assign some exist routines, I failed to get value of condition ( I mean, the value until that condition). Maybe I need to make clear my question:
My pricing procedure will be like this:
10 PR00--->value 100.
20 ZDST---> discount 10%
30 get value from step 10-20 --->result is 90.
My requirement is: I want to change the value 90 to 2000 by my routine.

Text type on Confirmation header

Hi! Does anyone know whether it is possible to configure the text type on the Confirmation Header, under Documents?
Basically, we have turned on confirmation approval and if we reject a confirmation, we will be given a choice to enter the rejection reason code and some texts. I noticed that there are 2 text types - Internal Note and Rejection Notification. Ideally, it makes more sense to Rejection Notification. However, this is not the default text type on the screen and to make it more user friendly, we are hoping that we can change the default text type to Rejection Notification.
Appreciate any advice on the above.

How to change the manual condition type value in change sales order BAPI

Hi All,
My scenario here is, i want to either add/change the manual condition type value during change of SO.
When i'm trying to pass the order_conditions_in and order_conditions_inx tables in 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE'.
Condition type is coming at item level but the value is setting to zero. Pls. help if anyone has any idea how to handle this.

So say I were logging a numeric value with a timestamp for 1 year and then wanted to change a few values for the month of June because my sensor wasn't working at that time. How could I do this? That reinforces my suspicions.
I have an app running for about 8 years now that keeps a paper trail to enusr ethe cartdiges used in respirators (operated NIOSH National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health par teh CDC) that use DSC to enusre nobody can ever falsify those records. If they can be hacked I my customer and anyone using a respirator with a NIOSH sticker on the side of it, want to know.

So I have DW8 generating a recordset (ASP/VBScript from SQL
Server) using
just the basic behavior. If I don't set any criteria and it
retrieves all
records, it shows all data for each record, including the

If I specify a unique identifier value (to retrieve only one

record), the DW recordset shows all details EXCEPT the text
found in the
"text" type field. Doing a TEST of the recordset this way
shows "undefined"
in that field, and of course, on the page, its blank. I could

this by using a "varchar" type or some other, but I'm then
more limited on
amount of text alotted.

Don't use SELECT *.
List the columns you're retrieving. Put all TEXT, NTEXT, and
IMAGE columns
at the end of your select list. If you have more than one,
list them from
left to right in the same order in which they're defined in
your table.
If you're using SQL Server 2005, use VARCHAR(MAX) instead of
TEXT.

You canr use text modules in script. You have to use standard texts .
Standard text are maintained in SO10 transaction.
you can create translation text for other languages also . So based on logon language it will print translation text.
go to SO10
give textname it say Ztextname id as ST and language as EN
say create, then you will get editor there maintain your text and save it . then come back . Now change language (say for german DE) say create and eneter translation text and save it.
so now you have created a text called ztextname which you can use in your script.
Inorder to insert the texts in your script do as below
go to any window editor and select path
Insert->texts->symbols->standard symbols
then you will get popup in which you have to mention all the parameters that you have created earlier.
after inserting just change language EN to sy-langu

FM returns wrong total value for Limit type PO's

Hi all,
I am working on SRM 5.0 (SP13) ECS.
I have implemented the BADI "BBP_WFL_APPROVAL_BADI" for determining the Approvers for PO whenevr a PO is changed.If the diference between the Old PO value and new PO value is > 1000 and the approval text field(custom text under "Documents" link) is set to "YES",then the WF approval is required and the approvers are determined.
The above logic works fine for the Standard type PO's where the difference between the old value and new value is determined using FM "BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL" by passing the GUID (for the change version and the active vesion) obtained at runtime in the BADI.
However for the limit type PO's,whenevr I change the total value for the Limit item,I see that the FM "BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL" doesnt return the changed value but always returns blank!
Bcause I need to check bth the values i.e. Custom text set to "YES" as well as Total value diff ,I cant use the start conditions in tcode SWB_COND.ALso I need to fetch the approvers based on the price diff so I need this value at runtime in the BADI using the FM "BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL".
Please advise why the FM is not returning the changed values for the Limit type PO and is there any other way(other table/FM) to get the changed value at runtime for the LIMIT type PO.

Yes.I am using the GUID available at runtime in the BADI "BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI" which is the current change version GUID.I tried using that GUID to get the data from both FM as well as CDHDR and CDPOS tables.
I think this is something related to LImit type PO because for Standard type PO's the FM returns the corretc changed value (as in the screen) for the change version GUID.I fail to understand why the changed values are shwon on the screen but are not stored anywhere in the system before actually ordering the PO!

When ur doing the CHECK_CHANGED_DATA, u ll get the edited values inside this callback sub -routine only. so here u trap the values those are changed ( thats after editing).
Once the control goes back to the original program ( calling prog ) , u ll end up with ur old data ( before editing).
you ll have to handle that explictly in your code, or shift to OO alv grid like this -

Can't change the label text for the first time of loading

I have some problem to change the label text in the prerender method.
I put a label on the form and set the text value to "Customer" on the text properities , and I would like to change the lable text to "Supplier" in the prerender method, I found some strange behaviour.
If I type nothing on the label text of the properties , I can change the lable text on the prerender method on the first time of the form load .
If I put something on the label text of the properties , the text label can't be changed on the first time of form loaded, the lable can be changed if I refresh the form or reload the form.
Could anyone help me to solve this kinds of problem ?

This is a tough one to explain. Here is one explanation from the Delving Into Components tutorial:
As with the JavaServer Pages implementation, when the server constructs a page from JSP source, the tag attribute settings in the JSP source take precedence over runtime settings. For example, if you set the text property for a Static Text component to "moon," the IDE adds text="moon" to the Static Text component's tag in the JSP file. Even if the page's prerender method has a staticText1.setText("sun") statement, the Static Text component shows "moon" when the application renders the page. If the page is rerendered, the staticText1.setText("sun") statement takes affect and the Static Text component shows "sun." If you visit another page and come back, the server once again constructs the page from the JSP source, the values set in the JSP tag attributes take precedence, and the page displays "moon."
