On <a href="http://service.sap.com/instguides">SAP Service Marketplace</a>, under <i>mySAP Business Suite Solutions --> mySAP CRM --> mySAP CRM 2005 --> CRM Core and Standalone Components</i>, you will find the cookbook.
Also take note of the guide on ERMS. This will probably part of your IC WebClient project.

IC WebClient cookbook - CRM 5.0
Hi all,
Can anyone please send me IC Web Client Cookbook for CRM 5.0. I have the Cook book for 4.0 but there are few things that have been changed in the new release.
Thanks,
PreethiThe IC Web Client Cookbook is available here:
<a href="https://websmp101.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000647974&">CRM Documentation</a>
Follow the heirarchy to SAP CRM -> SAP CRM 2005 -> CRM Core and Standalone Components
The document is called Interaction Center (IC) WebClient Consultants Cookbook
I trust this will reduce the need for people to ask for this document to be emailed to them.
You will need a service place log in to access this document but if you are working on a client you should be able to get this access via your administrators.

Cookbook crm ic webclient 2007
Hello,
do anyone have the newst ic-webclient cookbook?
where can i find it?
i am just writing my diploma thesis about the new ic-webclient and need further informations.
regards
TanerHi Jeroen,
Thank you so much for willing to help.
But if the document you are distributing is downloaded from service.sap.com
I have to say that it is not a proper way to distribute it via email.
You may simply provide the link to us then we will be able to download them.
The URL should be
service.sap.com/crm-inst
under which various documents can be found based on different CRM version.
And I am also unassign the points assigned to you. Sorry for this!
Hope these could do help!

Hi,
I am trying to do the first exercise which is in the IC Webclient Cookbook for CRM5.0.
I followed all the steps which are given in the cookbook, but i am not able to view the changes made on the screen.
I created new IC Web profile, Assigned required views to my Runtime profile.
Still i am not able to see the changes.
First of all am not able to view the Function( a field given in the Cook book) in my IC screen.
How can i view the same changes?
Below are the steps which i did...
1) I created a IC webprofile and a runtime profile.
2) I created a package and a BSP application in the same with name YCRM_IC
3) I copied required view <i>BuPaMoreContactView</i> into my YCRM_IC application
4) Now I made changes in the view as given in Cookbook.
5) Now i assigned the view to my runtime profile.
Now when i run the view, i am not able to see the exact changes made to the view.
Actually my view is different to the view given in the COOKBOOK.I am not getting 3 different links ( Contact Person, Account, Address ) on my first view.
How can i get them?
How can i start changes in my IC web application.
Please help me.
Thanks,
SreekanthFirst of all , Have you assigned yourself to the Org position and made position-IC Web Profile assignment?
Thanks,

IC WebClient customization u0096 view replacement
Hi everybody.
Does anyone could help me to solve me issue? I have to make some changes in IC WebClient, so to make it I need to replace a couple of standard controllers. As I understood from IC WebClient consultants cookbook, to replace a view I need to do the following steps:
1. In spro transaction, Customer Relationship Management ->Interaction Center WebClient-> Customer-Specific System Modifications -> Define Runtime Framework Profile
- Create runtime framework profile,
- in controller substitutes folder in the tree a left, assign replaced and replacement controllers. For ex.: CRM_IC | BuPaCreate | ZMY_APLL | BuPaCreate
- in custom controller folder assign custom controller to be called, for CRM_IC it will be IC_BASE | CuCoBDC
2. In spro transaction, Customer Relationship Management ->Interaction Center WebClient->Define IC WebClient Profiles
- Create profile by coping the DEFAULT one.
- in Assign function profiles folder in the tree a left, for function profile id RUNTIME change profile value form DEFAULT to the name of Runtime Framework Profile we created in the step 1
3. In the cookbook sad: Assign the IC WebClient profile to your users or business partners position in organizational management. I guess that this should connect our created profile with the actual user of the system.
4. Restart the IC WebClient (application CRM_IC). This step is unclear for me, what does that mean Restart?
As a result of this customization I expect that view BuPaCreate from CRM_IC will be changed with BuPaCreate from ZMY_APLL. I use BSP_WD_WORKBENCH transaction to test this changes, defining 'CRM_IC' as application and created profile name as Runtime Profile Name. Can any body explain me how to execute the third step form the very beginning. Cause I did not have any special settings in the system for that, but my basis user. Anyway? any information will be helpful? Look forward for your replies.Hi Vlad,
At first thx in sdn forum is give the points to the answer, i think you should give point to Thirumala.
At last, if you ask for a question of WebClient Cookbook you should have the cookbook and see the process of assign the profile. You can find information of organitional management you can see in the CR100 ( Course SAP of Basic configuration of CRM ) or <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/68/5c1738453fde16e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm">Organizational Management in SAP CRM Enterprise</a>.

Consultant's Cookbook for WebIC relevant to CRM 2007?
We will be installing CRM 2007. I'm looking for a good IC Webclient cookbook, but the only document I found on SAP's site is Consultant's Cookbook For IC for CRM 5.0 SP03. This appears to have alot of good information. Can anyone tell me if this information is still relevant for CRM 2007? I couldn't find any similar type cookbook for CRM 2007.
Pam,
The cookbook will give you a "sneak peak" of the underlying technologies, however you will need to get the cookbook for the new release. The best way to do this is purchase the 2006s OKP material from SAP. Most of the material in the 2006s cookbook will apply for 2007 with some differences between the releases.
The good part of the 50 cookbook is you will see how some of the underlying components of the new UI were built. When you compare how the 40/50 release works with the new one, you will be asking why didn't they make this easy soon.
The best part of the new 52 compared to the older technology, is that you don't have to edit HTML to configure the screen layouts like in 40. You still have all the concepts of the context with nodes and the whole GENIL/BOL layers.
Take care,

How to change the position of Views in IC webclient
Dear all,
Our requirement is to change the Views locations in IC Webclient Interface. like we want to see morefields view (BuAgmoreFieldViewset) in the place of Product Veiw in Identify accout work area.
In the same way in Interaction record we want to replace follow-up activity view has to be replaced with Interaction record partners view.
Kindly suggest me what sort of development is required for this requirement. How can we configure this in SAP?
Your valuable suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Edited by: Sravanthi_Revella on Apr 19, 2009 2:47 PMThere is no easy way or direct configuration to handle this . You need a complete knowledge of all concepts in IC WebClient Cookbook , essentially View , Viewset and how to make modification in standard viewset . Once that is done you will have to Handle the Navigation using the Navigation Link concept . Apart from that you will need BSP/ Object Oriented ABAP to handle the Object Node Instantiation either in the Inbound Plug etc so that your View Context Node and Attributes are populated to be display .

NEW VIEW IN WEBCLIENT (CRM 5.0)
Hi,
I want to create a new navigational link, and call a completely new view from dat.. can ne one explain how to do this....
I have tried with replacing existing one with new one by assigning custom controller in SPRO->CRM->ICWC-> CUSTOMER SPECIFIC SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS->ICWC RUNTIME FRAMEWORK PROFILES.....
But in this case i have to create a entirely new one for
eg: navigational link MENU.
When i click this navigational link it shud direct me to a new view....
Regards
chandanHello Chandan,
When you want your view to be displayed in a complete new 'screen' you also need to create a new viewset that contains your view. When you create a new view you don't need to fill in controller replacements in the customizing as you're not replacing an existing view, you're creating a new one.
The scenario you're trying to achieve is described exactly in the IC WebClient Cookbook for Consultants. There is a thread in the CRM Web Applications forums that distributes this document.
Reward points if useful!

Launch a new Webiste from Webclient
Hi Folks
I need to launch a new website in a new browser session upon clicking a button on the webclient. I can't use launch transaction because it will open the webiste in the same browser session.
Can anyone assist on how to achieve this requirment.
Thanks
HariHi Hari,
Here are some links that should help you out.
1. To learn how to develop BSP pages: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/cd/101c3a1cf1c54be10000000a114084/frameset.htm
2. To learn how to enhance existing components in IC Webclient. The IC Webclient cookbook should help, (even though it is for CRM 5.0) you can find it on service marketplace under CRM 5.0 / CRM Core and Standalone Components
3. Learn the HTML/Javascript necessary to meet your requirements. Launching a new window is a fairly simple thing so a little searching on Google should get you the info you need.
If you are not a developer, it might make sense for you to have a developer assist.
Sincerely,
Glenn
