IC Webclient issue

Hi,
I am trying to do the first exercise which is in the IC Webclient Cookbook for CRM5.0.
I followed all the steps which are given in the cookbook, but i am not able to view the changes made on the screen.
I created new IC Web profile, Assigned required views to my Runtime profile.
Still i am not able to see the changes.
First of all am not able to view the Function( a field given in the Cook book) in my IC screen.
How can i view the same changes?
Below are the steps which i did...
1) I created a IC webprofile and a runtime profile.
2) I created a package and a BSP application in the same with name YCRM_IC
3) I copied required view BuPaMoreContactView into my YCRM_IC application
4) Now I made changes in the view as given in Cookbook.
5) Now i assigned the view to my runtime profile.
Now when i run the view, i am not able to see the exact changes made to the view.
Actually my view is different to the view given in the COOKBOOK.I am not getting 3 different links ( Contact Person, Account, Address ) on my first view.
How can i get them?
How can i start changes in my IC web application.
Please help me.

We have successfully upgraded from crm4.0 to 2007 last weekend.
However when I launch IC Webclient, it is blank. Is there something that I missed?

Hi KG,
May I know how you started the IC webclient in CRM 2007?
Are you using crm_ic transaction?
For CRM 2007, different steps have to be used.
For CRM 2007, you might have to use transaction
bsp_wd_cmpwb and component = crm_ui_frame to test.
This will start the new WEB UI with a user id has business role related to IC Webclient. The standard role is IC_AGENT.
You may have to assign it in ppoma_crm for the position using the same step as you assign a ic webclient profile, but instead, you need to assign a business role = IC_AGENT.

CRM 5.0 IC Webclient Issue - Upgrading OS to Windows Vista and I.E 7.0

I'm supporting CRM 5.0 and right now, users are running the IC
Webclient on Internet Explorer v 6.0. Recently, there has been
plans to upgrade the OS on users' PC to Windows Vista and it
comes with I.E 7.0. I checked the Product Availability Matrix on
SAP and found that there is a patch to cater for I.E 7.0.
My users are also using CTI function. However,there is no patch for CRM SAP Groupware Connector for IE 7.0.
Please assist. If CTI cannot function with IE 7.0, my users will
be stuck with OS Windows XP.

Thank you for your reply. I am a newbie in this area. Do bare with me for my inquiries on the subject.
For my customer's implementation, the ICI interface has been configured to communicate to external communication management software from Nortel.
I raised such an inquiry because, per my checking on the PAM for CRM 5.0, the information on SAP Groupware Connector is parked under the Web Browser tab. Per my understanding,the Groupware Connector executes message synchronization
between the CRM server and the Groupware server, in this case, it would be the AMC server.
I was wondering on:
1. the impact it would have on the above matter, if patches were to be applied on the server
2. whether there is a relation between the Group Connector and ICI interface, that would cause an impact on IC Webclient if patches for the browser upgraded is applied to the CRM server. There is no patch available for Groupware Connector for I.E 7.0.
The patches to be applied are for the following components:
SAP_ABA - Cross-Application Component
SAP_BASIS - SAP Basis Component
SAP_AP - SAP Application Platform
SAP_BW - BBPCRM
Please assist. I'd appreciate your help.
p/s: Are you using IE 7.0 with CRM? Was the server patch process a challanging one? Hope you can share. TQ

Interactive Report Webclient issue:

We are facing starnge Issue in IR Web client report.We have IR report filter at leaf level.When we select 4 or 5 filters then we are genaratig the report and Query results 5 laks records.When we are selcting 9 Id's the Query processed in 10 mints and it is giving Zero results.Actually our users want to process the report by selecting 9 Id's.The same report when we proceesed in IR studio we are getting the results.Please help on these.
We are in 9.3.1.0 IR version.

check to see that al connection information is the same between server and client (IR Studio)
Check Usage Tracking logs re the SQL being sent
Check Query Log in IRWebClient. Add dbgprint file in location of IR Desktop Studio install and the location of executable for IE or FF which ever you are using - review that.
Have DBA monitor your session from each and see what is going on.

Unable to login to IC Web Client

Hi All,
I am unable to log in to the IC Web client in CRM 2007. I get the logon screen when I go to
http://<host>.<domain>.<port#>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_frame/default.htm?
but when I enter my CRM user id and password it does not log me in. I can log in to CRM SAP Gui without any issue.
I have activated all the necessary services in SICF.
is there anything i'm missing out please advice?

Hello Mike,
You mention that after you enter your CRM user id and password the system does not log you in. Do you encounter some kind of error message? Do you just see a blank screen? Perhaps you can describe in more detail what exactly happens.
If you are experiencing a blank screen, there are quite a few SAP notes (and quite a few other threads -- in both this IC forum and the new CRM 2007 forum which address this topic). For example, please check:

BP creation number range issue in Ic webclient

Dear Experts,
I have been facing an issue in the creation of bp via ic webclient. there are number ranges 01, 02 and z1 made in the system, my requirement is to create bp coming in range z1. This is working fine while creating bps in sap using tcode BP.
But while creating BP through ic webclient, the number range falls in 01. I need to change this to z1. can anyone guide me in this issue? In account identification profiles, what are all parameters need to be checked? Thanks in advance

Hi,
The number range for the business partner is based upon the "Grouping" that you select. In the T code: BP it might be working fine because Z1 must be set as the internal number assignment, which makes it the default grouping for the BPs created in the SAP GUI.
In the Web UI - in the Account creation page ensure that you have the field "Grouping" displayed. The field is not avialable out-of-the-box on this page. If it is not available do the following: Hit the the config mode icon and -> Select General data viewset. Hit "Show avialable fields" and under "HEADER" structure look for "Grouping" field. Add it to the list of displayed fields and save this change.
Now in the General data view set you should be able to select the "Grouping" field and select the grouping that is assigned to your number range "Z1".

Follow-up issue Interaction Center WebClient

Hi Guys,
Can someone help? this is about icwc follow-up issue.
1. I create a service order and save.
2. then I create a an interaction record and save.
3. I can observe in the service order the relationship "Role:Interaction, DOcument Type: CRM Bus. Activity". But not the
relationship "Follow up document".
I have a "Business Transaction Profile" for interaction center where the Activity is the main and service order is dependent
business transactions. Because, not all the customer when make a call want to create a service order, some only want to
register a feedback or make an appointment.
However, In my activity, I can observe in the Activity Clipboard my service order, but I need the SAP assigned the
relationship "Follow-up" for assign an action for close the follow-up document when close my service order.
What is wrong....? can someone help...

Based on your remark about confirming the account first, I assume you are working with IC 4.0 or 5.0.
The service order is created as a dependent business transaction of the interaction record. The interaction record is automatically created when you confirm the account.
The relationship type in document flow is INTA.
It's true that you can only create activity types as real follow-ups of an interaction record (using the follow-up view).
However, technically it should be possible to also create other business object types as follow-up of the interaction record. You might need to enhance the transaction type drop-down listbox in the follow-up view. You also need to make sure that your interaction record is error-free.
As of CRM2006s it is possible in standard to create any business object type as follow-up of an interaction record.

CRM 5.0 - IC WebClient - Transaction Issue

Hi
We have a Service Ticket Transaction as our main Transaction with Business Activity & Task as Dependant Transactions.
I wanted to remove the dependant transactions (Business Activity & Task) so used: Define Business Transaction Profile for current Web Client Profile and deleted the 2 transactions.
Unfortunately when I go into Follow Up Transaction I see I still have these 2 Transactions as possible options.
Even went so far as to delete the Business transaction profile and create another, but still thes 2 Transactions are visible.
Any guidance on thids will be richly rewarded.

Hello Panduranga,
First of all, make sure the buffer is not the problem.
Refresh all buffers by entering /$SYNC in the transaction box. (Don't do this on a production system!!)
If that doesn't solve your problem you can try this:
1. Delete them as follow-up transaction in the copy control customizing.
SPRO->CRM->Transaction->Basic settings->Copying control for Bus Trans.->Define copying control for Trans. Types.
Delete here the follow-up transactions you don't want to see in the dropdownbox.
2. Edit the follow-up transaction types and remove the channel 'ICW Interaction Center Webclient' so they are no longer usable in the WebClient.(Only CRM 5.0)
SPRO->CRM->Transactions->Basic settings->Define Trans. Types.
Select the trans. type you want to hide. CLick on "Allowed channels for trans. type" and delete the WebClient entry.
This should solve your problem.

Issue in IC webclient

Hi All,
I have issue in CRM.
When I go to ic web client (tcode: crm_ic), create a contract, save it, release it. Then add sold to party as contact person in partner tab. Then go to scheduled actions and click on add entry . a window is opened which have 7 chekboxes.
Now I will change the process a bit,:
create a contract, save it, release it. Then add sold to party as contact person in partner tab and save it again. Then go to scheduled actions and click on add entry . a window is opened which have zero entry this time.
May be itu2019s a customization issue.
Do any one of you have faced it ? If yes, how was it resolved.

Webclient display issues in IE10

Good day experts.
My PC has recently been upgraded to internet explorer version 10. The header area on the Webclient does not look like it should. I can't see the ready/not ready radio buttons.
I found a relevant note 1738868, but it is for WEBCUIF 731. We are currently on 70109.
Can anyone give me some pointers on how to fix this? I've gone through all the notes available.

I did implement the note, but it made no difference.
I managed to solve it by increasing the Header Height in the layout Profile.

Bi Dashboards issue works properly some times and after not display pointers data and give un expected error and throw login window

I have toff situation where we deployed bi dashboards in our site and it works some time and some times not,
and some times it keep loading and throw a login window.
works when
we restart performance point service and if not work
we re create secure store service and generated new key and create new pps service application
before that we stopped secure store and pps service using c.a in application server
we are using ssas for datasource to connect from dashboard designer
we have seperate server for ssas dbs
seperate application server running: pps service and secure store service
two web front ends: one of running secure store
1 Domain controller + central admin service running
some times after 4 -5 hours bi dashboards works , we dashboards not display data and throw un expected errors,
also when we try to connect using a dashboard designer from a seperate client machine in same domain ,we have same issue , we unable to connect to ssas datasource server, and if connect some times unable to deploy dashboards.
we tried every thin icreased server time out values in ssas server

Error message 'Enter unit of measure' in Webclient

Hello Experts,
We are working on CRM 5.0 SP 7, IC WebClient and have implemented the BAdi "CRM_SERVICEPROD_BADI" to assign a service product ''INVESTIGATION' whenever user selects service ticket in WebClient.
However, when confirming a Business Partner and accessing the service ticket, an error is getting displayed stating "Enter the unit of measure".
We have already mentioned the unit of measure in Product but it seems it is not picking from there.
Please help me to remove this error.

I had a similar Problem
You will have to assign the base unit of measure in service tab as hours and then in the sales and distribution tab assign the same unit in the sales unit and give minimum order quantity(for e.g-1) & delivery unit ,this you will have to do for all the sales areas you might have mapped in the S&D tab
I'm sure the issue will be resolved

Using INSERT INTO for FDM Memory Issue

We configured FDM to run an integration script into our EBS instance upon the import step. It worked fine for a time, then we began running out of memory on the FDM server. Upon Oracle's suggestion, we stopped running through a record set to append and update the values to strWorkTableName and instead began using INSERT INTO. I admit, I have never needed to use the INSERT INTO way of doing things so I may be missing something bery basic.

I really think the issue is that I am not telling the script where to find the Oracle tables at. I left the code in where we were using the UDL to call in the opening of the record set, but since we are doing away with the record set how do I let FDM know where to find the Oracle tables?

Here's a script with INSERT INTO that works fine if FDM back-end is SQL DB and it's pulling from FDMHarris data warehouse which is on SQL Server.
Problem is when FDM back-end is Oracle DB and it's pulling from FDMHarris data warehouse which is on SQL Server.
I'm assuming the INSERT INTO statement needs to be written differently, syntax wise?

Mapping script issue

Hello experts,
I'm quite new to FDM and Iv'e been trying to write a simple conditional mapping script with no success. for my entity dimension, in most cases, the source is ths same as the target though there are some cases where this does not apply and have to go to a NA_Entity. For example:

As you can see, all source entities which start with "PE" are equal to the target entity and any other entity not starting with PE should be mapped to the "NA_Entity". I believe it's pretty unefficient to maintain an explicit map so we've decided to create a conditional mapping script (not working yet) which reads as follows:

Else Result ="NA_Entity"

I've followed the script guide and Iv'e tried several scripts, all with no success. The only workaround I've found is maintaining an explicit map where 99% percent of the elements map to themselves and the other 1% map to "NA_Entity", not very maintenance friendly.

You do not mention what release of FDM you are working with, but there should be no need for scripting .
Explicit mappings are the most efficient from a performance point of view, but in view of what you want to achieve then all you need are two 'Like' mapping entries.
the first will be mapping PE* to PE* and the second entry mapping * to 'NA_Entity' to pick up all the other codes.
Alternatively if you are processing millions of records and have a performance issue, then an alternative might be to change the non 'PE' type records with a script on the import format, but i think the two records should be the easiest.

Follow-up transactions in IC Webclient

We have a requirement to create follow-up transactions for sales document types (ex. standard order from an inquiry or quotation) in IC Webclient.
We looked at the IC Webclient and found that there is a possibility to create follow-up transactions only from the interaction record.
The copy controls are done and we can create follow-up transactions in SAP GUI.
Does anyone know how to create a follow-up transactions for any sales transaction type and how to provide such a facility in IC Webclient?

We have the scenario where we make follow-up transactions in the IC Webclient from a standard order to a return order for example. This is no standard functionality in the IC webclient and has been custom programmed by ECENTA a german SAP partner. It uses the standard copy control. The main issue was to get the document flow correct.
