Ical 3.0.8 to-dos all gone - irreplaceable important info - help!

My wife today lost all of her to-dos - they just weren't there when she opened iCal. There's some irreplaceable things in there - things our young kids have said for example (don't ask why she keeps it there - I can't figure it out myself...)
I've searched these forums and the internet for the better part of 3 hours and can't find any resolution. I've tried using Time Machine to replace the /Library/Calendars folder, deleted the .plist files, etc. As a matter of fact, I can't even 'reset' iCal when trying. I erase any and all iCal related files I know of on the system, but no matter what I do, when I start iCal it gives me an "upgrading calendars" notification and then shows all her calendars (and a bunch of very old to-dos from 2 years ago). This is with the machine off the LAN and not connected to the internet (and we don't do MobileMe).
One note is we're using BusySync to keep synced calendars on our home LAN. I've turned off BusySync as well as syncing in iSync - no change. iCal still magically finds her calendars in it when we launch after trashing all calendars from the library.
What is going on? How can we get these to-dos back? I'd be happy just to learn how to 'erase' iCal itself. Where is it finding this calendar data when I've turned off sync services (through iSync), turned off BusySync, reset the sync services history, reset the busymac history, trashed all files and caches related to iCal, BusySync, Sync Services located in the library, preferences, cache directories and anything else that even looks remotely like it could be related.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm at my wit's end. I thought this is what Time Machine was supposed to prevent from happening!!

You need to check other places where your contacts may be stored:
- iTunes/iCloud back up
- iCloud if you synced them to it -
I need help, I seem to have lost all of my music from my Ipod. I bought two albums today which are still there as well as one I added via CD last week these are the only ones that remain. I got a message come up saying the ipod was corrupted and needed to be restored by itunes, I followed the instructions and it did a re-sync, but now all my albums are gone, other than the ones I said already. I can't find them in itunes, niether my ones bought from itunes or the ones put on via CD... Help please I am about to throw the poxy thing out of the window and have a melt down!!!!

THis is now the 5 th time I have written this !!!
I have a iPhone 4s i did the software update ages ago and lost the camera roll .....then I did the update and all my photos returned ...now on Christmas eve they all dissapeared

PLease help me !!Why should we care how many times you've written this? Are you making multiple threads? Are they being deleted by the Hosts?
Did you make a backup of your iPhone before you updated the iOS?
Did you import the photos to your computer?
Were the photos in the Camera Roll, Photo Stream or synced iTunes albums? -
I had almost 30 different seasons of tv shows in my library, alot. Now there all gone, my library is blank. My purchases are in my purchasd section on the store but I dont have enough space to download them all over again. I cant figure out what happend to them. I just watched one, then turnd my pc off, and later that day they were gone. And its IMPOSSABLE to contact apple about it, I dont know why its so hard to ask them any kind of question... Please help..

The Apple TV 2 will play all the content in your iTunes library that your Apple TV 1 does. It can no longer sync any of it but can stream it all just as the older model did. Airplay is a different feature that lets you stream from an iPad/iPhone, the Apple TV 2 has Airplay the first didn't.
You can still sort and search content by genre, it still marks content watched and unwatched and mainly still lets you organise much as the Apple TV 1 did, with one exception. It doesn't do nested folders, so the ability to tag a movie as a show (ie James Bond) and have all the associated movies in a James bond folder has gone and it lists all these movies individually.
It has a similar situation with TV shows. It will put all TV shows in a series in a folder as the older one did, but the new one lists each series separately whereas the older model would put all the series in one folder.
Not nesting folders is a bit of a pain with large libraries and whilst I don't like it, it's more or less the only compromise I have to make and of course I get additional features too. -
I updated my 3GS to os5 and set up icloud and it backed it up, although, the backup says incomplete. I turned off the contacts under icloud and they are now all gone off the iphone. How do I get them back? I feel like they are in icloud, because the contacts went to another iphone i have.
I did turn the contacts back on and it didnt work. I am hoping the wi-fi connection I am on at school is not compatible, and it will work when I get home. Thanks!

My photos will not sync to my Apple TV (1st generation), ipad, iphone, or itouch. They used to be there but upon recent syncs with all devices they have all gone. I am totally baffled as I have not changed settings?
I had the same thing happen to me. It's a bug in iPhoto 9.4.2.
The first time you run iPhoto after upgrading to iPhoto 9.4.2, it "updates the iPhoto library". This sometimes tickles a bug where iTunes can see all your iPhoto albums, but iTunes thinks they are empty. Since iTunes thinks all your albums are empty, it dutifully deletes any photos from your synced iOS devices.
It's easy to tell if this is the problem you are seeing. Open iTunes and go to the photos sync panel for one of your iOS devices. If you have multiple albums checked, but iTunes shows a total of 0 photos, then you have the problem.
I spent an hour with an Apple Genius. he couldn't find any mention of this problem in their internal support system. His recomendation was to reinstall the operating the system. I suspect that this won't solve it.
The only solution I have found is to restore iPhoto 9.4.1 and the corresponding iPhoto library from your backups.
I would refrain from upgrading to iPhoto 9.4.2 until Apple has a fix for this issue. -

When I reopened my laptop, it said that some files have been deleted or hidden (I don't know if it said hidden, I don't remember). my dock and wallpaper were set back to default.
This isn't my first time force shutting my MacbookPro.
How can I restore/recover back my stuff?

Please help me.Given that you sound a nervous wreck and a neophyte in matters Mac, it would be safest that you put the Mac away, go take a chill pill, grab a bite, get some rest. Then take the Mac to its scheduled appointment with Destiny, er, the Apple Genius.
There's a good possibility of data loss and munging around unknowing, following instructions that will probably be hard to grasp will only increase the amount of damage. -
I was using my notes earlier today and now for some reason they are all gone. How does this happen and is there anything I can do to get them back, the new ones also that haven't been synced.

Win 7 task bar has a Fire Fox Icon. Before installing FF 4.0 I could right click on the Icon and it would show short cuts to various sights, which when clicked on would open that sight in FF.

After backing up the 2008 macbook pros harddrive the iphoto pictures are all gone!
A third party company made a backup of my 2008 Macbook pro by taKing the hard drive out of my 2008 macbook pro the videocard broke and i had nochange to do the backup by my own :( so i needed to go somewhere specialized and i paid 125$ for getting the conete harddrive backed up including all my photos music documents. After all the repairs from apples side were done i felt that the harddrive sounded kind of bad so i went back to the apple store and they told me they have to replace the hardrive and if i have an backup which i thought i had, so that was 2 days ago. As i got my macbook pro back from Apple i brought it to thd place who made my backup. All was saved on their extrernal hardrive but all my photos (iphoto) are gone :( they cannot find them anymore on the drive Nd they couldn't do anything for me :( now my macbook is fixed but all my memmories i kept as pictures are gone and i spent 125$ for a backing up my pictures and now they are all gone :( is there anybody out there who may can halp me tell me what to try ? Maybe my old harddrive where did apple sent it to? May i can get it back or could it be on the. Backup drive but under the library or iphoto folders are just some pictures :( like 500 . But there is one corrupt file which i also cannot open :(
I need help :( thank you1. Reinstalling iPhoto has no effect on your photos. The iPhoto application is totally seperate from your iPhoto library
2. Is you backed up correctly and restored correctly nothing would change
3. Given your report it is clear that you dopi somethinfpg incorrectly. However since you do not tell how you backed up or how you restored it is impossible to guess what you did wrong or if itpt is possible to fix
4. Exactly step by step howvdid you back up your iPhoto library and exactly how did you restore it?
5. Do you have a TimeMachine backup or clone of your iPhoto library from before you did this?
6. What version of iPhoto '11? There are many different versions

MY BB Z10 was Unable to Boot after Many Attempts-soon after my files are all gone!!!

I'll always been a BB user since then, even if my Siblings are asking me why??(They are iPhone Users) Until last week, my BB Z10 wasn't be able to boot in its normal boot time. I tried and tried so many times, read the other helpful tips from the internet but i couldn't find the solution. I bought my Z10 only last March of 2013. I am not a hard user of my BB because my field of work are not allowed to used the phone while at work. We can but i choose not to, unless breaktime.
Let me get back again to the main issue, my sister let me used her iPhone for 5 days then today i decided to try again to reboot my mobile. I was so determined to do so. I follow the link below.

then, really my mobile works once again, BUT i was so dissapointed that doing it so will also wipe out all my messages, phonebooks, images, documents, and videos WHICH are all important and memorable to me. My Question was:

2. Why BB z10 are hanging and mostly the wifi connection or mobile network cannot be read.
3. Why it takes sometime to reboot?
4. Why it happens to BB z10? I mean, why when you were restarting or rebooting it will take like 24 hours but still on its 99%, and freeze on that level? so we dont have choice but to press again the start button and start the process again.
Please I wish BB support group can help me on this, all those files are important to me, those captured moments that we cannot repeated again family videos and many more are all gone.... really it was the most saddest day of my life...
