ICal 5.0.3 Repeat pop-up menu not appearing

I created a new calendar and then copied events from the previous year into it. Now I'm trying to set events to repeat yearly, but when I pull up the event, I'm not getting the pop-up menu that allows me to reset the time or repetition. This problem only seems to happen in the events I copied from the previous calendar. Is there anything I can do, short of re-typing each event?

Using iCal 5.0.3, I used to see a "repeat" option for events on my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.7.5) and on my iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1), but the option has disappeared, both for new events and for existing events opened for editing. iCal on both the MBP on iPhone syncs to iCloud.
What could have happened to the "repeat" option?

Pop-up Menu not showing

I've tried everything I can think of to set an alarm in iCal but I can't get the pop-up menu to appear. I edit a new event, and click and double click and nothing. I don't have alarms turned off in the preferences.
Any help would be appreciated.

I answered my own question, sort of. I clicked the default alarm in the preferences. Either that did it, I simply didn't recognize the pop-up as what I was looking for, or some other weird thing happened. Anyway, I've gotten it working.

When I click on the gold bookmark icon, the pop up menu does not appear that will let me put tags, folder info etc. How can i get the pop up menu to appear?

After I click on bookmark icon & it turns gold, the pop up menu that lets me add tags, folders, etc doesn't come up.

What happens when you click the star (now colored gold) a second time? See the steps in the process of adding a bookmark by the method you are using. Step 1, step 2....

AddIn menu not appearing

CR - 2011 V.14.0.0.760
I have a .dll that I have created in .Net that should work as an AddIn. It worked for an evaluation version of CR that we had installed on our server. I now have a full licenced version on my XP computer, and the AddIn menu does not appear.
After creating the AddIn folder in the appropriate place (I assume), on restarting CR a pop up mentioned that the AddIn folder was being set up, but I can't yet see the menu. Computer has been restarted since then.
Any ideas anyone? I haven't answered my own question with the server/computer statement above have I?

Got back from a holiday yesterday. Don't know if you can still help me.
I've installed the newly downloaded version of CR 2011 back onto our server. I have built the demo project supplied in the link you gave me. It complained that I was missing a call to getMenuType as follows:

So I put that function into the code, and it compiled and I put the .dll onto the server in exactly the same place as my PC.
The newly created .dll Addin appears in the menu on the server.
However it just doesn't on my PC still.
Don't know if you have any more ideas? Don't worry if not, I'll keep plugging away (as usual.... ;O) )
FYI: The DotNetExternalCommand.dll I have referenced in the project is via the path
C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86

ICal and CalDAV: Added items in sunbird do not appear in iCal

Hello,
I hope the question fits the forum and has not yet been answered. Sorry if it is the case. Anyway, here is my problem. I have this CalDAV account that I want to use both on my mac using iCal and at the office using sunbird (computer on linux).
This works perfectly well when I create or delete events in ical, i.e. the changes are reflected in sunbird. However, for some reason I don't understand, when I create, modify or delete an event in sunbird, this is not updated when I launch iCal. It seems that iCal does not update itself.
Has anyone ever experienced this ? Any help on this would be great. Thanks a lot.

I indeed checked and I've set it to update every 1 minutes. I even update it by hand and the new events added in sunbird do not show up. So I don't know, may be the events added under sunbird are not exactly in the same format as the ones added by iCal and that would be why iCal don't add them...
If anyone has any idea of why it's not appearing I am interested. Thanks for the help

Flash menu not appearing in Captivate 4

Gentlefolk;
I am evaluating the Captivate 4 trial version and ran into a problem.
I cobbled together a quickie menu in Flash which works fine in C4.
However, seeking a more elegent solution, I created another menu using a Flash menu generator (Antssoft) which works fine in a browswer and in a Flash player, but does NOT appear in C4. I see a Flash bounding box on the page, but when viewed in browser mode or by a standard preview, there is just a blank page.
I have tried variations on my theme with the menu: changing the filename to .flv so it could be imported as a Flash object, I have used the original .swf extenstion and imported as an animation, but all with the same results.
Suggestions? Is Captivate a beast in which one needs to build any type of menu within a Captivate project itself,and it really doesn't like external menus?

What do you mean cobbled together a quickie flash menu?
Was it something you actually built in flash to control the captivate swf, such as an animation you placed on the stage or a widget object you built?
Yes...Captivate is a beast, well at first. There are only so many variables/functions you are allowed to play around with, although with some more digging you may be able to find some more in the class files for captivate.
I am not sure if you are stil in need of help with this or not, let me know.

Your description is a bit vague - but here's something you
can try
If your using Text inside a MovieClip then you need to Embed
the Font.
Select your text and click the Embed button on the Components
Panel - select all the Characters that are likely to appear in your
text. Save and Run - See if there's a difference.
Check your Alpha also you never know.

Update/Edit Pop-Up Menu Not Saving

Hi All
First time here...
Is anyone else having trouble updating/editing pop-up menus on slices? I seem to be able to add only one new menu item at a time. If I add more, it doesn't save the changes. Now I'm trying to go back and change a link on one of the menu items and it doesn't remember it at all.
I'm fairly new to Fireworks but this isn't giving me a whole load of confidence in it...
Any ideas? Known bug?

What version of Fireworks are you using?
If you're building pop up menus for a real site, The FW ones are the worst option to use (even if they are working) because they are a PITA to maintain after the fact. As of CS4, Dreamweaver doesn't even support native editing of the menus, so you have to go back to FW (or dive into the code itself) to make changes.

How do I copy events on iCal, for events that repeat on various days (not per the repeat options provided when creating the event)?

My schedule varies, and I need the capability to copy an event over mutltiple, random days without retyping the information each time. The repeat function does not work for me, as it is not customizable to events that occur on different weekdays. Does aanyone know a good fix for this? It seems like a pretty basic function, but I can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be GREATLY appreeciated!

I have not found any suitable solution by myself. As i had no time to fix that issue i moved back to older version of netbeans(that is very bad solution, but i could not wait) and added to ignorepkg. Now i want to solve this problem. Can anyone help me?

Solution of this problem was at this page (Comment 14 solved everything).
Problem was in jvi plugin.
You should perform all described actions and then install plugin from: http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/3891 … ate-center to enable jvi support.

Context menu not appearing in .doc

I ahve a user who is working on Windows 7 Pro, 32-bit, Office 2010 and Acrobat 9. The right-click context menu for creating a PDF works for everything BUT .doc. I performed the regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat Elements\ContextMenu.dll" command, but it didn't help.
Short of reinstalls of Office or Acrobat, is there anything I can do to solve this?

I had seen that in other threads. The fact is, I've had that combination working perfectly fine for months on 6 workstations. This issue just popped up the other day. Maybe you could tell me what I would do if this WAS happening with Acrobat X and Office 2010?

Why are my pop-up tools not appearing? How do I get them back?

The pop-up tool menus for my hue/sat. and the dust and scratches size selection aren't appearing when I select them from my drop down menu. What can I do to fix this? I use these tool quite often and its very difficult to edit pictures without some of these options. Has anyone else run into a problem like this? Was anyone able to fix it? Thanks ahead of time for any assistance.

These panels should have a reset.
In Dust and Scratches, you will see the Cancel button. If you hold down the Alt key, you will see it change to Reset. Click on that.
For hue and saturation, look at the bottom of the panel. You will see a counter-clockwise round arrow icon. That the Reset for that panel.
See if that works.
Beyond that, check the steps in this guide.

Spry Drop Down Menu not appearing in I.E.8

I have created a spry drop down menu in Dreamweaver CS5, brought it to my webpage in Macromedia Dreamweaver, uploaded it and when I view the website in I.E. 8 only the top tabs of the menu appear. When I scroll over it, no drop down menu shows. Please help.

Apple drop down menu not appearing.....

Recently had to do a complete restore from my back up to my mac mini.
Seems to have sorted out most of the problems I was having (but not all).
However the Apple Symbol drop down Menu in the Menu bar turns blue when clicked on, but no sub menu appears.
Very inconvenient.
I'd be grateful for any thoughts on a solution to this.
And while I'm on the subject of weird things that the restore has produced......
I use iWeb to create a number of websites but now, after the restore, the icon in the dock is grey and when I try to open it I get a message that says
You can't open the application iWeb because it may be damaged or incomplete.
Any suggestions or possible solutions gratefully received.
