ICal and .Mac - using the calendar on the Web

I had fondly imagine when I filled out my calendar on my home Mac and published it to .Mac that I could not only view it when I am at work (where I have to use a pc) but also add in calendar info that I have have access to only when I am at work, so that the calendar is complete.
If this is meant to be possible I haven't figured out how -can any one help?
If not possible it does seem to detract quite significantly from what might otherwise be a useful tool. In fact I can't imagine why this ability would not be built in as it seems starkly obvious that if you have access to your calendar over the web, you must want to be be able to edit it over the web?? Or have I missed something?

Why oh why doesn't some enterprising person or company (I'm looking at YOU Apple) please make this work. How many people share this problem? I have a PC at work, my finance has a PC at work, we both use our Mac at home.
If there's a way to share out Outlook calendars with our iCal calendars I swear I'd do a happy dance.

The Calendar on the ".Mac Welcome" page

What is the source of data shown on the ".Mac Welcome" page ?
Does the data displayed on the web page come from using Apple's Backup program or or from publishing one or more calendars?
Are all calendars merged together or is it all selective as to which ones are viewable ?

The calendar on the .Mac welcome page will not reflect any of your calendar information. It only displays a calendar that allows the user to change the display of the selected month by using the <◇> icon. If the current month is selected it will display the current day in red.
This has been a source of confusion for many users and I agree that Apple has not provided a clear explanation. It would be nice to have the additional features that you want/need for an improved user interface I suggest that you Provide iCal Feedback.

If the hard drive that crashed is the one that stored the itunes library, be sure to restore the library from Time Machine (mac) or whatever backup you use on windows. That will get back your music. I suspect that the replacement drive has an empty itunes library and thus, perhaps, the itunes match used that to sync to its servers.
Try posting in the iTunes Match forum, you'll probably find more knowledgeable folks there.

*** may have found a fix ? *** Thanks to your post re: GDI objects I checked task manager ( added column "GDI objects")and saw 700+ whereas working 6.18 was 160 ish Got thinking - what could possibly use that many GDI objects ( firefox only uses a few hundred and it's a platform ) Then it hit me - emoticons ! So in tools/ options/ IM&SMS/ IM Appearance unchecked "show emoticons"and also unchecked "show images and other media previews"restarted Skype and GDI objects now only 164 ( down from 729 )and all other windows are repainting fine and are usable again( my problem was RDP sessions that became unusable, as I work remotely ) To be sure, have rechecked the options and restarted skype and see 700+GDI objects ( goes up from 660 when place call to echo/sound test )and removed them again to get only 164have also rebooted a few times and gone through the whole processof unchecking emoticons, restart, rechecking emoticons, restart to make sure itsnot a fluke. pretty sure this has fixed it for me ( so I now have a working 7.6.0.105 on XP SP3 ),and as your problem "sounds" the same I hope it also works for you. The game you mentioned does not save online. If you have made a backup using "iCloud" or "iTunes backup" then you may be able to restore to that last save point on your device which will include whatever you had for currency at the time when the save was created.
Unfortunately, we do not have a way to restore game progress, this is done by the user on the device itself using the backup and restore method for the entire device.
If you have not performed a backup save for your device before this problem happened and you have lost currency from purchases, please contact the iTunes store customer service to inquire about your purchase and request help regarding this loss of currency issue.. Apple does not allow developers to handle billing issues.
If you get an answer saying that In-App purchases are the responsibility of the developer, please insist that they assist you as we have no way of accessing their purchase records. We are the developer and do not have access to any account or billing information on the iTunes App Store.

IPhone 4s upgraded to iOS7 and I´m able to enter a new caldav calendar but I can´t find the calendar anywhere and the schedules are not in the calendar. The caldav server have been working on the iOS 6.1.3 efore very well! Any suggestions?

I tried to enter a caldav calendar to my iPhone 4s.
The same server and the same calendar have been working well tihin iOS 6.1.7.
But now on iOS 7 the caldav server and account is confirmed but don´t appear in the calendar so the schedules are also not shown in the calendar app.
Can anyone confirm that or has some suggestions?

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

It sounds like you may have purchased a CreatePDF subscription through safari, using our web interface. If this is the case, the good news is that subscription will also work with the (free) Adobe Reader. Simply install the Reader from the App Store:

Once installed, you can then use "Open In" from another app like Mail to open the Word document in Adobe Reader. Reader will show the word doc, but it will also show you a message pointing to the "convert" button (A document with an arrow through it in the toolbar). Pressing this button should prompt you to sign into Acrobat.com. Use the same account you used to purchase your subscription and Reader will upload the word document for conversion, placing it in the Acrobat.com and Outbox section of the Reader. Please let me know if you have trouble!
