ICal beta don't sync wiht iPad

Hi
My new iPad do not sync perfect with iCal beta. Only some of the calendar sycn's. The sync with iPhone works. Any lead to solve the problem?

I have a similar problem. Birthdays and Anniversaries are sync'ed, but nothing else.
Is this a MobileMe Beta problem?

  • I don't sync my iPad ever , ny nail is building up any other way to restore ios7 ? My computer is broken

My mail has been building up in storage since switching to iOS 7 . I don't use a computer , only the iPad . They say to sync I pad to computer then restore ios7 , any other way to do it ? I've had 2 iPads , 2 years never used a computer again . Never been synced. I don't even think my computer works any more

This is the main reason to not use a POP email service. In most cases, unless you specifically set it up not to, POP download all messages and deletes them from the server. Neither iCloud, not iTunes backs up actual email messages, only the account settings.
If you need to restore and don't have another computer or device with those emails, they are lost forever.
If you don't have a computer, you won;t be able to restore iOS 7 anyway. But you don't need your own, you can have a friend do it for you.

  • ICal events won't sync from iPad to MacBook Pro

When adding events to iCal via iPad or iPad2 the events will not sync via Cloud to iCal on my MacBook Pro. However, when adding events via the MacBook Pro they appear on both the iPad and iPad 2.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

    Hi,
Something like this happened to me before.
Go to the system preferences app to see if iCloud or another account is syncing your calendar. Also do the same thig on the iPad(s). Make sure that the same account (ex: iCloud vs. yahoo) is syncing the calendars on all of the devices.
If that doesn't work go to the"calendars" button o. The top left coner of the iPad screen. Check the calendar the is syncing the calendar on all the devices.

  • Voice memos in iTunes don't sync to iPad

I've tried several times to sync voice memos from my macbook to my iPad (originally recorded on my iPhone) but without obvious success. All the right boxes are ticked. I'm assuming they should appear as a playlist in the music app? If not, where do I find them?

I have the same problem as Newfoster.
    Downloaded itunes 17th December 09'
    Got my Itouch 24th December.
Since 5th january, its been working excellent, photos and music syncing fine.
I decided to put some "free" applications on only.
    WoW Armory. WoW Authenificator.
I downloaded them. went onto Devices > Applications, And there i can see the 2 applications i downloaded. yet, the only thing on that page that responds in the "sync" button in the bottom right hand corner of that page, everything else wont let me click or move.
    Capacity: 7gb
    Availible: 3.4gb
    Version: 3.1.2 (7D11)
I hope i can find a solution fast, because im beginning to run in-patient with it. I've tried seeking advice from friends, but they have "jailbroken" ipods.
Also tried on a friends computer, app page wouldnt respond either.
    Many regards. Fergal.

  • ICloud bookmarks don't sync on iPad mini

I have an iPad mini 1st gen and have had it for over a year. Recently, I've noticed that my Safari bookmarks that I have updated on either my MBP mid-2010 Mavericks or my iPhone 5 are not being synced to my iPad. I am running the latest operating systems and have tried all of the troubleshooting tips on my iPad as suggested by the support KB article for this issue. Any solutions on how to fix this? Thank you!

This is odd. I was mainly trying to sync between Phone and Mac, which wasn't working even after re-enabling sync. However, once I enabled sync on the Ipad, THEN Mac and Phone synced. IE, all devices had to be refreshed before others talked to each other. Anyway, I lost some open safari windows (even though you have the option to save open windows when syncing or enabling private browsing, it doesnt work, it always closes all open windows), but it's working now, so GREAT!

  • Since upgrading to Maverick Ical wont sync on ipad and iphone 4

iCal (7.0) wont sync with iPad (7.1) or iPhone (7.1) since upgrading to Maverick (10.9.2). I noticed iTunes (11.1.5) no longer has the 'info' tab I used to go to for settings. How do I sync my Mac, iPad and iPhone with iCal and Address book?

For some of us, the additional problem is that once you give in and go iCloud, no rep will tell you there are iCloud limits on iCal's size, so that if you're calendar is say 10 years old, with 10 events per day, and there's a 25K event limit, it won't work, even if you buy all the storage in the world. Which means that's syncing is OVER.
So far I've tried three alt calendars: Fantastical (rated one of the top iCal alts); Pocket Informant (allegedly capable of superpowers); and Calendars. Not a single one is able to do the one simple task of
    1) integrating an ical ics file,
    2) placing a calendar program on the desktop and the iPhone
    3) keeping them both in sync.
This is really getting to annoy me. Chelsea, a tech support supervisor, offered that if I pay $99/year I can become a developer and get the next beta iTunes which will allegedly offer local syncing. Great.

  • I sync my iPad. Now everything is messed up playlists and music are gone. Weird stuff showed up. And now I can't find the option to delete or make new playlists. 6.1.2 is my newest version!! NEED HELP!!

So I don't sync my iPad very often. My dad and I share a computer. And I decided to do it the other day. I am pretty sure I did it all correctly selecting music that I wanted not deleting playlists but it seems to be that they are gone. And music I didn't want has appeared. And now I don't have an option (with this new iOS 6.1.2) to make new playlists or edit music I don't want out.
I know I need help figuring those two things out 1 how to make a play list. There isn't a "add" button anymore in that screen I have a "you have no playlist"with a button underneath that says "go to iTunes Store" why I would need the store for that, I do not know.
Then in the songs, artists, albums sections where you used to be able to hit "edit" button to delete the music you have that you don't want. I don't seem to be able to do anything at all to get rid of the random music I have.
I need help. I know my iPad fairly well but I am not super savvy with it either.

Is there a "New" button at the top right of the Playlists section of Music?
There is no Edit button to delete music, swipe sideways on the song to reveal the delete button. Tap and hold on the artwork in Artists and albums to reveal the (X) button to delete. Or connect the iPad back up to iTunes on the computer and check your sync settings for music to ensure you are syncing the right content.

  • ICal to-to syncing with iPad Calendar app.....

Why is it still missing!?!??! I tried using the to-do feature in AppleMail and all I got on my .mac account on my iPad Mail was useless mime attachments...no way to edit or mark it completed.
Also, who's ridiculous idea was it to migrate the to-dos from iCal to Mail? Why would anybody want to go to their Mail app when scheduling tasks? I can't refer to my Calendar in Mail, and AppleMail on my iPhone and iPad don't to have support for it either. I switched years ago from Entourage to iCal for my scheduling precisely to avoid this sort of silly disconnect.
Are there any plans to support to-do item sync from iCal on my Mac and any of Apple's mobile products in any useable fashion? If syncing to-do data with iPhones, iPads, etc is not going to be supported then why even have it in iCal in the first place?
Seems very un-Apple-like to not have this functionality after waiting for it for 2+ years now. This appears to be decidedly Microsoft-like to me: Un-user-friendly, to say the least. What's up?

It hasn't been migrated or switched to Mail. It has been incorporated with Mail which you don't have to create there if you don't want to. You can create a To Do in Mail - receive an email that provides or reminds you of a To Do to create, which will be available in iCal automatically, or create a To Do in iCal only if you prefer switching applications in order to do so. A To Do created in Mail can be stored locally on your computer's hard drive, or stored on the server with a MobileMe account.
Support for syncing To Do's hasn't been provided yet, which may have something to do with including Tasks with Outlook and being able to sync between the two for this data as is available for contacts and calendar events for those who sync this data on their Mac and with a Windows PC. Maybe this will be included with firmware 4.0 to be announced this Thursday.
Are there any plans to support to-do item sync from iCal on my Mac and any of Apple's mobile products in any useable fashion?
Since this is a user to user help forum only, doubtful if any fellow users know what Apple's plans are. If they did, they wouldn't be allowed to say until Apple makes an announcement, or until a firmware update is released that includes the option.
If syncing to-do data with iPhones, iPads, etc is not going to be supported then why even have it in iCal in the first place?
Because To Do's have been available with iCal long before the iPhone and iPad were released?

  • How do I sync my iPad with iCal on my Mac or when using a google calendar?

I can't seem to create a calendar on my iPad or my Mac (using google calendar and/or iCal) that will work together to show up in both places.  Any tips?

I used to use Google Calendars before I convertd to iCloud.  Using Google, you can setup a new Exchange Email account on your iPhone.   Under there, select calendars (you can also select contacts is you like, as well as email).  On the Mac, you can add the Google Account and select which calendars to sync in iCal.  This works fairly nicely, but if you enable iCloud, it will want to disable your Google sync.
As Alchroma suggests, you could also just setup yout iTunes to sync the calendars for you, but if you are like me and you don't sync your iPhone to your computer several times a day, the two get hopelessly out of sunc real fast...

  • ICal events entered in iPhone don't sync with Mac

I am suddenly having problems with iCal entries made on my iPhone. They do not seem to sync with my Mac's calendar or on Mobile Me Calendar. I have tried syncing and still nothing. I initially had problems when I switched to the Beta version several months ago, got that fixed but now I'm suddenly finding events I entered on my iPhone not appearing on my Mac's calendar and I'm getting duplicates again, too. Very frustrating. I went to the duplicate calendar fix instructions at Apple but that didn't seem to fix my problem; I can live with duplicates. I can't live with missing events.
Any suggestions or references to a fix? Thanks/

I don't know if you have what I've also had, but http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=12382141 might help. I have this problem too. It's quite annoying. I have to keep iCal open before it syncs.

  • Ical Beta - Syncing and iTunes

    Hi,
I don’t know where to Post this Question but I think it’s more related to the iCal Beta.
    Here it goes.
Since my upgrade to iCal Beta I have lost all the functionality I had and I have not been able to find a way to get it working the way I want.
I have 6 iPhone’s all Syncing on the same account via iTunes 10.
    4x3Gs and 2x3G
I want me and my wife to be synced via Mobile Me.
I want the kids to Sync to my iMac via itunes every week or so and as such I can get their schedules on my Mac and then on my iPhone.
This is how it was setup.
Our Phones (my Wife’s and mine) Synced with MobileMe for Address and Calendar Info.
Then Various folders and stuff on the itunes Library.
The Kids all synced up Locally with Calendar and Address Book and then iTunes Stuff.
I got all the updated Calenders on my iPhone via MobileMe.
    It worked Great.
We sync on my Mac as to use the same iTunes Library.
Since the Upgrade to iCal Beta I don't have the Option in iTunes to select the local Calendar for the Kids Phones.
I set up separate local Calendars in iCAl which then don't sync up to mobile me.
I though at least they will show up in iTunes But they also dont show in Itunes.
I cant select anything apart from the default Calendar in iTunes and the kids iPhone.
It seems that all functionality is now only via mobileme and that I am forced to be online 24/7 if I want my Data to be synced.
This means that my kids will also have to be connected to MobileMe and have access to my Calendar Data.
I do not want that as I have also client appointments which I cant risk them Altering or deleting.
Is there a Way for me to get my previous functionality with this new setup of iCal Beta?

Yes i have the latest iTunes.
Yes I have USB 2.0 and I am plugged directly into the computer.
It finally got everything loaded on the thrid try.
EDIT: For what it is worth I have an iPod Touch that syncs to the same computer actually using the same USB port with no problems. And if it matters I am not using the same sync cable.

  • ICal won't sync with iPad

iTunes says that calendars are syncing, but events from my iPad don't show up on my iMac.  This is frustrating as this is the only way I have of syncing my iPad and iPhone.  Please help
I have searched and see that many others are having this issue with no real resolution.  I am hoping it has been fixed in the 6 weeks since the last post I found.

    Hello Squeegeefrog,
Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
You mention that iCal (or Calendar on OS X Yosemite) won't sync with your iPad.
Are you using iCloud Calendar? If so, the advice and  troubleshooting steps in these articles can help you sync the calendar on your Mac with your iPad using iCloud:

  • ICal and reminders on Macbook don't sync with iCloud

Just now when iCal crashed on my MacBook Pro I realise that it hasn't been syncing with iCloud (lost al lot of appointments).
Any change made on my iPad, iPhone and on icloud.com syncs perfectly; even back to my macbook!
The rest on my laptop (notes, iWork apps, mail, contacts) all seem to work and sync perfectly with iCloud.
However iCal and Reminders made on my laptop just don't sync to iCloud!
The other way around works nicely (reminders and calendar appointments from iPad, iPhone and iCloud.com appear promptly on the macbook).
I have tried everything i could find (restarting computer, resetting icloud prefferences, log out and in from icloud, starting new calendar, checking icloud account). Nothing works...
Any change made from my macbook just doesnt make it to other devices. From other devices back to my mac do work.
On my macbook all calendars I have are in iCloud.
iCloud is active (with same login as for other devices)
Would be great if someone could help me with this one!
    Thanks!

I have something similar and i will try to explain with my rusty english.
I have an ID on iCloud but i can't sync the iCal events.
On my mac there is everythign (appointment, notes birthdays and so on). On my iCloud there is nothing.
I suppose was something related with the old ID  (one just for ichat, not one of the ID that you pay to receive extra services or a @me.com account).
Now, as soon as the icloud features was installed on my Macbook Air I signed a new ID and initially everything worked fine. Emails on Mail and  contacts were syncronized properly but with the new ID. i did not check iCal account.
So i tried also with the old one (the ichat ID) and all was sync. So i realized that maybe Apple recognized same account or name and merge all the ID in just one.
    I was wrong.
The 2 ID's are not linked.
further checks add also this new weird stuff. in any case i cant sync ical accounts. i tried to switch from one to another ID. no way. i checked preferences in iCal on the mac. everything is fine. no way.
    do uu have any idea?
