ICal change all my appointments by 1 hour

Help.....I upgraded to Leopard yesterday and now all of my appointments have been altered by 1 hour. I regularly sync with my blackberry and my blackberry is fine, but everything is off. How do I fix this. This is super annoying.

I think I'm having a similar problem -- except only SOME of my appointments are wrong.
After exporting my Palm Desktop calendar to vCal format and importing it into iCal, all the events BEFORE the November 2007 switch to Daylight Savings Time are displaying one hour later than they should (this also has the annoying habit of making all my "all day" entries go from 1:00am to 1:00am -- making them display as two-day entries).
Essentially, any time of the year where we "spring forward" one hour, iCal has -- not very helpfully -- "sprung forward" my calendar entries. Is there any way to get iCal to just import them at the times they display on Palm Desktop?

Well...I went to the modem (Westell, WireSpeed), found the NAT settings, once again, I'm WAY over my head, I am assuming this is a TCP connection (as opposed to a UDP) and per Lorex my mobile devices will use port 1025.  So I gave it a "global port range" of 1-10 and I indicated that the "base host port" was 80, 1025, & 9000 (ports 1,2,3).  When I selected the 'enable' it asked for a "host devise" my choices are my IPhone, IMac and the IP address for the dvr, so I choose the dvr.  I still cannot connect and canyouseeme still can NOT find these open ports.  This is taking up my whole day! I don't know how people figure this stuff out.

  • Why did iCal change all times when it changed to wintertime?

When wintertime (normal time) occurred the night before sunday, my Mac and my iPhone automaticaly changed. But not just that: all time settings for meetings and appointments were set back one hour!
    What do I do?

    kell3,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
One of the first things to try is "refresh" the com.apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the .plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior.
If that is unsuccessful, try resetting iSync. To do that you need to open iSync, and choose iSync>Preferences>Reset Sync History...
If duplicates are not resolved on your iPhone, open "Settings" on the iPhone>Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks>Accounts>your MobileMe account and turn off Calendars, when prompted delete data, and wait two minutes, then turn Calendars back on. When asked to merge the data, make that choice, and wait patiently. You should no longer have duplicates. If you are able, I recommend using a Wi-Fi connection to make the change.

  • Daylight savings pushed all my appointments ahead 1 hour

I'm using iOS 8 on an iPhone 6.  I dug deep into the system settings and could find no daylight savings settings to adjust.  Have I missed one?  Also note, this is only an issue on my iPhone.  The times are still correct on my desktop calendar and on my icloud.com calendar.  I have yet to check my iPad though.  Any suggestions to correct the time. Thanks.

I'm not sure why your appointments would have changed
Because the time for appointments are relative to GMT. DST changed relative to GMT which never changes. You can force the times to always remain the same by turning on Time Zone Override.
You have to remember that when put events into a calendar that the time is relative to GMT and your location. Put an event that is a 5:00P EDT and fly to California the time if the event will change to 2:00P PDT. The event is still occurring at the time you specified as it is still 5:00P on the east coast. If you have an event scheduled in California and you enter the event into your calendar while you are in New York you need to put the time for the event as when the event will occur in New York. Then when you arrive in California the time of the event will adjust.
You can skip all this by turning on Time Zone Override and selecting the time zone you always want to use.
It sort of makes sense once you get used to it. I fly to Europe a lot from the east coast. When I enter my flight information the times are relative to the time in New York when the event will occur in Europe. I have to make some mental calculations to add six hours to the event time. My calendar now shows the true duration of the event, especially when flying.

  • All Calendar appointments shifted 1 hour later after DST went into effect.

After this year's (2011) DST went into effect my wife's and my pre's appointments all shifted one hour later.  This was for appointments both before and after March 15 and also for appointments input into both a palm profile and also google appointments.  In looking at the forums this appears to have been a problem last year but I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this issue this year.  Both of our phones have been running 1.4.5 since it was made available.
I online chatted with customer service and also called.  They had me try toggling airplane mode, turning airplane mode off then turning network time and network time zone off manually selecting the mountain time zone and then turning everything back on.  They also had me do a data reset on the phone.  None of these worked.  Lastly they had me manually set the time zone to Chihuahua, Mexico which is on mountain standard time.  This shifted the appointments back to their original time but the clock now was off by a hour earlier.

  • ICal erases all my appointments more than 3 months old.

Ho w can i fix this? I do not have the delete feature in ical on.
Wow, thanks for the quick responses! Unfortunately in my iCal preferences non of my "delete" boxes are ticked :-(

    ginakins,
Check iCal>Preferences...>Advanced>Uncheck "Delete events xx days after they have passed."

Synchronized my calander with outlook - moved all appointments up by 1 hours.

  • ICal changed my appointment times

Dear All, can someone explain why this happened? I restarted my PB (Tiger 10.4.6) for the first time in this time zone (CET daylight saving). When I booted iCal it showed most appointments as one hour ahead of their actual time.
I have time zone support turned off (it was on some time ago, but has been off for months). Some of the times were entered while I was in the UK (GMT +1), and some here in France. All changed.
This is a little alarming as some of the appointments are flights I have to catch. Is there somehting I am doing wrong? I expect iCal to keep all my appointment times exactly as I set them.

I am having the same issue with iPhone and Outlook on WinXP SP2. It is not all of my calender meetings, only some.
I verified the timezone settings as described in this thread. Settings | General | Time Zone Support = Yes. Time Zone = Columbus, USA (Columbus, Ohio?) I also tried other cities in the Eastern Time Zone since it was not clear if Columbus = Ohio or Georgia.
My desktop computer is set to Eastern Time Zone in the Date/Time Settings of Windows XP. Hours & Minutes are in synch between iPhone and Desktop.
I have also tried the synch option under the Info tab in iTunes to replace Calendar data on the next synch. No luck.
    Suggestions?

  • Ical: won't make all day appointments on my mac but show up in iCloud..Help?

I can make appointments (using my mac air)  in ical if there is a time attached but not all day appointments. The all day appointment does show up in my iCloud calendar and in fact syncs to my iphone and ipad. But can't get it to be visible in ical on my mac air. Can anyone help?

If the old account was or had been upgraded to an iCloud account as you seem to be implying, you should be able to add it back to your mac as a secondary account (system preferences > mail, calendars & contacts. This should cause both accounts calendars to show up in iCal (click the calendar button -top left corner- to confirm this. Then you should be able to copy the calendars across to your new account by following the instructions below.
Create a new empty calendar from the iCal file menu, select which account you want to create it in.
If you have only a few appointments you can move them individually by editing them and changing the calendar in the edit options.
Alternatively you can copy all the appointments in one calendar to another and delete the original.
To copy a calendar ctrl-click on it from the menu that appears when you select the calendar button (top left corner of iCal) and choose export (export it to your desktop for ease)
Double click the exported file and choose the new empty calendar to import them into.
Ctrl-click on the original calendar from the menu that appears when you select the calendar button and choose delete.
I'm guessing the reason your calendars show on your phone is because that account is enabled as a secondary account there.

  • They changed the way we see our appointments. That's awful! Is there a way to chnage back to the "old" way when you could see all your appointments at a glance????

Maybe I'm fool, but how I get the "day view"? I have three options on the top line, an icon that seems a computer (a square and two lines), a magnifying glass to search a especific item and a "plus" to add appointments. The "day view" isn't any more there - that's the point!!! Using the first icon a get the full month-that uses 2/3 of the screen- and two lines of appointments...To see the rest I have to slide up and down the two lines taking care to not touch the month...

  • 1st ical sync with iphone...all events off by 2 hours

Why? All ical events got transferred to my iphone but the time is off by 2 hours...all iphone events are showing up 2 hours later than when I originally scheduled them in my iMac ical program (the ical events on my iMac are still displaying at the correct time)
Also, on my iphone, my 5 different ical calendars all synced, and all have a different color next to them, but the colors do not match the colors for the calendars created in ical on my iMac (ex: I created my dissertation calendar in red on my iMac but it shows up as orange on my iphone; I created my travel calendar in green on my iMac but it shows up as blue on my iphone, etc).
Does anyone know why this happened and how to correct?
    Thanks!

Hey that worked! I was unaware of that setting on my iphone. Actually, I left time zone support turned on, but set the time zone for Denver (I'm on mountain time) instead of the Washington, DC zone it was set for.
As far as the colors being off, we'll see if anyone else comes along with an idea for that one. (Too bad there's no setting to turn on for "keep the calendar colors the same!")
    In the meantime, THANKS!

  • HT4436 Why don't all my contacts and calendar events on my iMac (version 10.7.4) stream onto iCloud? For instance, there are 470 entries in my address book but only 270 on iCloud. And not all my appointments in iCal are transferred.

I have the same problem transfering Address book on iMac to contacts on iPhone (old version 3G - on iCloud). this is a hard wired connection

Might you have 200 entries in On My Mac groups and some of your appointments in On My Mac calendars?

  • How can I move all appointments by 6 hours

I imported files from my old ibook but it was set to Eurpean timezone. Now all the appointemts start 6 hours earlier. How can I fix that??
Anyway it doesn't make sense to me that if you are travelling with your ibook you cannot set what timezone you are in as it would shift the appointments. If I schedule a meeting in Rome next week at 3pm I want to still write it down as 3 pm, as when I will be there it will be 3pm for me even though it is 9 pm in NYC...
Anyway need to move everything up now... thanks for your help
    Whodany

If your going to be jumping across time zones with your Mac, you should turn on Time Zone Support (advanced preferences).
The only know way to move everything at once is to turn on TZS and switch the time zone 6 hours.

  • Ical all day appointments missing

I have two macs and two ios devices.  All-day appointments are synced correctly with iCloud on the iOS devices, but not on one of the macs.  If I uncheck "all day" the event will appear on all of the devices.

Try creating a new calendar in ical.
Set the iphone only to sync to that calendar replacing all calendar data on the iphone.
put an all day event in the new callendar and sync it to the iphone.
If that does not work, create a new user account on your computer, and try the same thing.
    Hope this helps.

  • Calendar Events between iCal and iCloud keep shifting by 1 hour

I have iCal and my calendar on iCloud synced up...however recently i have been noticing that my appointments on one or the other of the calendars are all off by an hour. As best I can figure (after poking around in icloud time zone settings) is that iCloud was not on daylight saving time for the Central time zone...I have changed the setting, but all my appointments are still off by an hour in iCloud...should they have adjusted automatically when i changed the time zone? Am I missing some better time zone calendaring functionality? It seems like this shouldnt be this difficult or persistent of a problem.
Related, there doesnt appear to be a "daylight" option for the timezones in iCloud, just a Standard and one missing Standard, e.g. Chicaog Time vs Chicago Standard Time. My assumption is that WITHOUT Standard is the equivalent of Daylight...can anyone confirm that?
I am getting really tired of constantly revising my appointments (if i change them to be correct (on icloud, then they are wrong on my Mac when i get home at the end of the day)...is there a way to get the time zones and times to line up with the time programmed on my Mac? Right now i have no faith that the times on my calendar events are at all accurate and have to keep the appt details in the notes (e.g. starts at 2pm) just so i can keep track in spite of the times, but that is hardly efficient or logical with a calendar tool.

A screen dump showing iCloud in Safari and iCal on my Mac, with both iCloud and iCal set to Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEDT) but the event out by an hour on iCloud (and hence iPhone I guess).
