ICal changing home calendar color on its own

I use a MacBook Pro laptop running OSX 10.7.5. I have iCal on my laptop and iPhone and back up to iCloud. My calendars have been running flawlessly for several years. Today, all of a sudden and without my doing anything, the color of my home calendar changed from red (which it has been for at least two years) to blue. Reminders changed from blue (where they have been for some time) to orange. All other calendars stayed their correct colors.
I changed the colors back to their original colors, and within 10 minutes they had changed back again.
I quit iCal, restarted my computer, and changed the colors again when I got iCal back up. Within a few minutes they were back (to blue for home and orange for reminders). It's not a big deal, but just annoying. Why would this happen?

I have the same problem. It is really frustrating. I use iCal in a small office with 5 people. How can we make time management if everybody has the same colour. I found not solution in the Internet as well as on Apple Support. If somebody has an answer. Please let me know.

You can try, normally you can't change the color. You'll get exactly the same model.

Calendar changing color on its own

Hi,
for a couple of days now (possibly since the last software update) my calendar has been changing the color assigned to the private calendar (which is set to be the default calendar) on its own. I always had it in green (which used to be the default setting) and now it's some kind of turquoise. I change it to green (by right-clicking on the calendar, going to "Get Info" and changing the color) and a few minutes later is turquoise again. It's driving me nuts, not because the color annoys me, but because it does this change without me doing anything. Does anyone else have this problem?

A lot of people are experiencing this - look at the 'More Like This' box to the right.
In one of the discussions, someone posted they had talked to Apple and Apple is aware of the problem and working on a fix.

Why does the color on my calendar keeps changing colors on its own

I have several color coded calendars for each family members. My daugther's calendar all of a sudden changed from green to blue (which is my son's) by itself. I changed it back to green and it automatically changed back to blue again. This happened once before a while back and after I keep changing back the color, it corrected itself eventually.
Why is this happening and how can I fix it permanently?

Owned this laptop since FEB 2014. My worst experience with a laptop to date. Wish I'd bought ASUS now which I also considered before buying.Another family member bought ASUS & no issues.

Ical calendar colors changing birthday calendar color

Okay, I've been using iCal for well perhaps ever ever since it started shipping in the OS. I'd like to be able to change the colors codes of calendars on an iPad 2 running the app. So far haven't found a place to do that. Suspecting it might be a mobileme thing. I've even tried that, nope no good. Seems like the iCal app on the iPad pulls colors from somewhere as some match others don't. I looking for a consistent look for all calendars across different devices, i.e. Ipad/iPhone/Laptop desktop version of iCal. Going to repost this same question on the iCal discussion group. Should I get a response I'll repost it here.

I also used to sync to my Palm handheld. I used The Missing Sync. I still had the problem of colors changing. But, they just changed. The colors on my iPod touch calendar don't relate at all to the colors in iCal.
Since it occasionally happened with my Palm, I don't mind having to adjust the calendars. What I don't like is that there is no way, on the iPod, to change the colors. And a few of the frequently-used calendars have ended up with the same color on my touch.

Why does iCal change what calendar my event is saved in?

When I try to save evnts in a calender that isn't my standard choise calendar, iCal saves it, but then it takes about 2 sec and then iCal changes the colour of the event and saved it in my standard calandar.
What can i do to get it to stopp?

Oops, I didn't notice. iCal has changed names, and now is called Calendar. I have Calendar 8.0 and am running Yosemite, OS X 10.10.1

Email flag changes color on its own

In mail, I use different colour flags to mark different email; i.e red for urgent, green for information, blue for casual. But the flagged email kept on changing to red colour flags. Is it a bug? Can I solve this on my own by changing any settings?

I want to change the "find" color from its green to some other color

I would like to be able to change the color of "Find" (which is on the Edit Menu) to some other color; on some websites the background color is almost the same shade as green (and I wouldn't know if that's because of my Windows OS color selections (under Properties), or its native to Firefox color selection (and IF that can be changed somewhere on one of the menus, I haven't been able to find it).

Are you referring to the font used for your entires in the text boxes and date boxes? Or the Month and Date fonts? If it's the latter you can't.
If it the former select the font, click on the Option button at the bottom right and then click on the Settings button in the tray that comes out. There you will be able to change the font, size and color everywhere in the calendar:

ICloud / Calendar app keeps changing my calendar colors

I just noticed this happening two days ago, the calendar app on my iphone and macbook is changing the colors of my calendars at random. They're only cycling between two colors for each of the 3 calendars (the original color, green, orange, purple and the changed color of blue and purple). I have no idea why it's doing this. No one else has access to my icloud account, and so far I have not noticed any loss of data. I've backed everything up. The same thing is happening on my iphone as well.
OSX 10.8.4, Cal version 6.0 (1648)
It's more of a nuisiance, but I don't want to lose appointments if this is a sign of something else going on. Any ideas?

Fill color color on its own

Hi! I'm having an issue on my Illustrator CC 2014.
When I double click over the Fill color box, on the tool box, to change it, it show a tottaly different color.
e.g I have a green object: 85.10.100.0
I try to edit this color by doubble cliking over the FILL COLOR on the bottom of the tool box.
It opens an editing window with a color picker on the left and SHOULD show the numbers of my object´s color on the right.
Somehow it changes the color, showing a kind of grey color: 0.0.0.60!!! My green shows below that grey color, but is not quite my green, when I click over it the color is altered to: 85.15.99.3
That does'nt make any sense.
Can someone help me?

Jacob is correct, since two colors are shown in the color suggestion area, click on the below color box to reach the expected behavior.
Yes, it is bug and product engineering are working on it and hopefully we will get it fixed soon.

I have seen a couple different threads on this but can't get a for sure answer from anyone..... If your using Google Calendar through the Mac calendar application, how can i get my individual event colors to sync?

It may be that "Show All-Day Events" is unchecked in the View menu:

Change in Calendar color after update - want blue again!!!

I had been putting off the update to 3.0 for some time but couldn't wait any longer. I updated to 3.0.1 today and finally got the certificate working after my Network IT person figured all I needed to do was turn off the SSL. Once the SSL was turned off, all work perfectly!
Everything is back to normal except.... the color of my calendar went from Blue to Red. I am a creature of habit and want my Blue colored calendar back. I am trying to get used to Red, but I just can't!
Can someone please tell me what I need to do get my Blue calendar back. Please. The next call is to our Network IT person. So, I just need to tell him how to do this.

Is this the calendar for a MS Exchange account? If so, the color is not user-settable (or IT-settable), it is 'assigned' by the iPhone when the account is set up. The 'normal' order of preference is red, orange, blue, green, purple. You can try deleting the Exchange account, then adding two calendars by syncing via iTunes (dummy calendars), then re-add the Exchange account, then you can delete the dummy calendars (via another sync). I'm not sure if that will work, as I am able to live with red .

How do I stop Calendar from creating its own alerts?

This is weird. I Am not using Icloud, nor synching with any other calendar (as far as I know). But I create an event, put in one alert, and a few days later, it has three or more random alerts (even some well after the event). AND it will email me more alerts that it doesn't even show! For example; A calendar event entered last week of a visit today, set to remind me by email at 9:00 AM this morning, has now emailed me 5 times, both before and after the stated one. And the even itself now shows two reminders. What is going on? Thanks!

I don't have a hotmail calendar, but iPhone says it is. It looks like the calendar in the manual & no settings available. Can I make it not a hotmail calendar?
